@@blu6540 Same i almost drowned once but then my brains goes oi move faster your drowning so I swim faster and just focused on not breathing and then next thing I know Im at the end of the water(I didn't know how to swim well only alittle that day but I didn't know you don't need to kick faster so don't come hatin at me)
The more you move the quicker you sink it's all in the breathing once you calm down and realize you're not going to sink if you just breathe right then you can focus on your hand patterns

I just realized that the kick has to be done in a quick, narrow and continuous way. So basically it emulates flutter kick in sprinting which uses 6 beat or more kicks. While I want to vary the technique for 3 beat, 4 beat mostly used in middle/distance swimming which is not possible using this method. I want to enjoy middle and distance swimming not sprinting. My brother, who wasn't a regular swimmer, manages to swim 1000m-1500m regularly. He achieved that when his age entered 50. It's me who taught him about the catch-pull, body rotation and high elbow arm recovery. But I could only reached 75m. (: To compensate for this inability to swim longer distance, I swim butterfly which gives me fun, although consumes more energy. Other variation I do is swim one arm freestyle to practice kick timing, breathing and high elbow arm recovery at the same time. Sometimes I use this one arm for practicing dolphin kick timing : 1st and 2nd kick for butterfly.
Yes but that's only good for workout and polishing your technique. This is by far the most non efficient way to stay afloat. I believe egg beater legs and sculling is what you're looking for

Well'l some people myself included are just not supple with there feet and ankles for the flutter kick, the Rotary eggbeater kick is the one for me for treading water there.
