Whilst I like most of your upgrades, and even considering some for my GS, I won’t be adding this one. It just does not look right. If you are going to have a tail tidy, it needs to be much shorter. On a positive side, love the channel. Keep up the great work.
Totally agree. I replied to another gentleman below earlier. I already ordered the Rizoma tail tidy. More I Looked at this one, the more I hated it. New video coming when the Rizoma arrives.
Thank for another great video. I have mixed feelings about it. On one hand, I completely understand why you wanted to replace the OEM tail setup. While functional, the stock unit isn’t exactly the slickest design. However, I feel that the Puig tail tidy falls short in aligning with the GS modern design language. The bike has such a clean and cohesive look, and the Puig’s lines just don’t seem to flow with the GS. Instead of enhancing the bike premium feel, it almost detracts from it, making the rear end look slightly disjointed.
I totally agree with you. I sat in the garage earlier today starring at it, and I just kept hating it more an more. Therefore, I already ordered the Rizoma one from Steve @ A Bike Thing. The Puig, while angled right, doesn't look as good as the Rizoma or Unit Garage. We're on the same page. Thanks for the feedback man!

You should just mimic the mounting holes futher out on the plate toward the tail lights and then take a saw to about half that bracket. If you cut enough off, it'll tuck up under the tail nicely. Probably wont even need that bottom cover plate then.
I'm just waiting for the Rizoma. I already removed this from the bike. Once I put the Rizoma on, if I don't like that one either, maybe I'll think about hacking it up.

Sometimes it’s just a process of elimination in that if you have something in mind that just might work because the oem just niggles away at you then you have to give it a try, a bit like when you added the coloured torques. I’m only a couple of hours away from Steve here in the uk and have used some of his ideas for my gsa 1250.
Agreed. When it comes to customization, it's all trial and error. I tried it thinking it was the shortest and slimmest of the bunch, but I was wrong. If I had bags and a top case, it would look good because the bottom would be covered up and I like the angled up style. But alas, it sticks out like a sore thumb. Let's see how the Rizoma ends up looking... If you see Steve, please tell him Motopapa appreciates his videos.
I think it’s better and I appreciator showing all the potential caveats with the radar, there are 4 x copulated nuts showing can you not move the whole thing closer to the bike utilising them?
I am not a fan of this tail tidy. Just my opinion, please don't get mad. But it looks hideous sticking off the back like that. It doesnt fit the image of the bike. Looks like you grabbed some spare pieces of metal and screwed them together and slapped it on the bike. I'm sorry, but this mod is terrible. Again, just my opinion, doesn't mean much. If you like it, that's all that matters. Anyway, keep up the videos and ride safe.
I looked at the Cymarc tail tidy and I don't like it because all the wires are exposed from the top. That's a no go. Very small and definitely the shortest, but the exposed wiring on the top is poor engineering. If they fixed that, I'd get one.

No, you would have to cut the brackets. I already took it off the bike and waiting for the Rizoma to get here.
