Can't believe it's not butter spray for a low carb diet? Lmao. Good on you for trying to reduce carbs, but you're adding in unhealthy fats into your diet.
Omg, this is perfect. Thank you so much. I put it in a Rubbermaid container and set the lid on it without pressing it on, and it worked perfectly. Delicious, and amazing texture.
Thank You for this! As an aside, I have put those un-popped kernels back in the used microwave popcorn bag, placed as indicated on the bag, until the popping stops and Voila!
Perfect! I gave 1/2 cup 2.22 minutes and got a bowlful. I did put the un-popped kernels back in and most of those popped too. Perfect! I stuck it in a ziplock and sprayed a bit of butter spray in. Perfect fat free no salt snack (I did consider some mrs dash as a topper, I’ll try different toppers next time.)

Hello there. This is Cathy. I think we know that this microwave has the countdown timer but I really wish this microwave would have the count up timer also by the way.
To those that try popping and the kernels don't pop, the popcorn might be to old and dried out inside.. The wife was given some bags of popcorn for the microwave, but she said that they were old and might not pop.. She was right after testing 2 bags most kernels did not pop, and did not taste very good so rest was thrown away. Another point, I noticed down thru the years for people using their Microwave to pop popcorn, seems that their Magnetron goes bad pretty fast for some reason. So if you do a lot of popcorn popping and your new Microwave seems to die fast.. Might want to keep this in mind. I'm just curious - if you have popped a lot of popcorn how has your microwave lasted over the year s. I'm old now, and just wondering if they have improved the newer microwaves.. Back in the 1980-'90s I had a few people asking me about this.. Be serious in your response.. Thanks..
For those who are thinking that they gonna make it out whith plastic box.....DON'T DO THAT......cause i did i microwave popcorn for 1:30 minute i was happy they were popping but when i toke that box out it was totally burt from the bottom...... use cooker if you hv one......
I watched this video on 2x speed and the sound of you shaking the popcorn in the bowl was very satisfying. 😂 That looks like some delicious popcorn!! We only use bag popcorn but I've had a box of kernels for years and just never knew what to do with them since we didn't have a popcorn pot. Was thinking about popping them to use for popcorn garlands on the tree this year so I could finally be free of that box... but now your video and the way your popcorn came out looking so yummy is making me think I should stop buying bagged popcorn and go straight kernels! Wow! 🤤 Now I'm eyeing this kernels box and wondering if kernels have an expiration date. I want tasty fluffy popcorn! LOL Do you reuse the kernels that were left over after the popping? Or are they duds?
I usually toss the leftovers as they've pretty much already been heated up a good bit, but not enough to rupture the shells. Popcorn with time can go dry. I attempted growing popcorn in my garden this year, and unfortunately the kernels are just too dry to get a good pop without burning.
@@cubecompmtdx Ahh I see! I had always wondered if those leftovers were useful or not. 😲 So your homegrown corn didn't pop well? Could the age of the plant be a reason for the dry kernels? Thanks for replying!! 💖
@@AlottaBoulchit There's a kind of specific process to curing the popcorn, and I simply didn't quite get it right this year. I'll be planting popcorn again next year and giving it another try.
I've recently started trying the microwave after using the stovetop regularly. I end up with about as many unpopped kernels as you did whereas I'm used to every kernal being popped on the stovetop. You ever try just saving those kernels for the future?
I'm not sure how well they would pop after already being heated prior... I would think it would taste burnt or at least not fresh. I wish more of the kernels popped with this method.

@@nathan-potato-chocolate-ra1500 I wouldn't recommend that. The paper plate doesn't seal the bowl shut, and allows for room to rise if the popcorn reaches the top of the bowl. I'm also concerned that plastic wrap would melt.
Could be there wasn't much moisture in the corn , maybe just a bad batch... I had added a couple of drops of water over popcorn that I've had for a while just to let them soak in the water
