I fell in love with Louise Brooks through the Richard Leacock intrerview. She struck me as so beautiful even then.

God these legends are untouchable & timeless !!!! I can only hope & dream that one day the studio system comes back !! The best movies the best actress n actors came from this system.. Thank god all these legends n timeless films are saved for us because if all we had was the pple of today a lot of us would be horrified and bored as hell!! All these films must be preserved !!!

I love Louise Brooks for her tart intellect, intensity, and sultry on camera interactions, but Colleen Moore was the huge, luminous star of the day, a charming and playful actress whose work would be known better today if MOMA had not through carelessness allowed so many of her films to disintegrate.

Interesting. I’ve been a fan of old movies for a long time, and I’ve also read several books about old Hollywood. I confess that I’d never even heard of Colleen Moore until yesterday. Interesting to hear that she was a star, while Louise Brooks really wasn’t. I’d always assumed that Louise Brooks must have been famous in her day, since her photos are in books about old Hollywood, and she is still at least somewhat known today.

Tough and Louise created several mistakes. Glad to see she survived to tell her story. Interesting for sure

Gostaria de entrar em contato com aqueles que soubessem onde comprar filmes e documentários de Louse Brooks gravados em DVD.

"She does not suffer." That is it in a nutshell yes? All that is required of a 'proper' woman, is that she suffers endlessly. Then the "public" will adore her.
    Bullsh**

Should she have stayed in Germany?

Fate opened a door to her and she seems to have closed it by herself, she doesn't appear to have been happy when she came back to the USA & settled for husband number three. She also had a high husband count and no-one seems to zero in on that either.

What's not to like? She was a strong woman and knew what she wanted and wouldn't take any crap. I think she was beautiful and strong.
