Thanks for the instruction, I love it, the pattern:
    Cast On 33 stitches
    Row 1; (Right side) Knit 2, Purl 2, K2, P2, K2, P2, K 9, P2, K2, P2, K2, P2, K2
    Row 2(Wrong side): P2, K2, P2, K2, P2, K2, P 9, K2, P2, K2, P2, K2, P2
    Row 3 = Row 1
    Row 4 = Row 2
    Row 5= Row 1
    Row 6= Row 2
    Row 7: K2, P2, K2, P2, K2, P2, CF6 (Cable Front 6: slip 3 stitches into the cables needle, put in the front, K3 , K3 from the cable needle, then K3), P2, K2, P2, K2, P2, K2
    Row 8 = Row 2
    Row 9: K2, P2, K2, P2, K2, P2, CB6 (Cable back 6: K3, slip 3 stitches into the cables needle, put in the back, K3, the K3 from the cable needle), P2, K2, P2, K2, P2, K2
    Row 10 = Row 2
    Row 11 = 1
    Row 12 = Row 2
    Row 13 = Row 7
    Row 14 = Row 2
    Row 15 = Row 9
That mean every 7 rows you should do the Cable.
and so on until you reach your desire length, then Bind Off.
    Good luck

Ryan, you're the first person I've ever seen online. to cast on the same way that my mom showed me when I was a kid. Most of the knitters I've seen do the long-tail cast on, with the slingshot way of grasping the yarn. My mom was left handed, and I'm not, but I knit left handed. I've tried to knit right handed, but I think if I could pick up the speed knitting technique you showed in this post, I'll be ok :)

    I loved the pattern.
I was like, I got time to do something at this period of time and why waste it and why not do something that interests me. Then I started off with knitting.
I saw your video on how to knot for beginners. Then.... I was confident enough to start a project where I happened to see this video and started away. The pattern looks confusing but I got it right away.
Thank you for the video tutorial.

I have a couple of questions. I am a beginner. This scarf is literally the first thing I ever knitted. It turned out nice and was fun to make. 1: You begin knitting/purling for five rows before you begin using the cable needle. You end the scarf when it's the desired length. Shouldn't those five rows be repeated at the end of the scarf so when fringes are added, both ends look the same? 2) In your experience, what is the best looking most secure way to join a new ball of yarn when you run out mid project and then also the best way to deal with tails? Thanks!

    • @bubblelf4341
      @bubblelf4341 2 роки тому +1

i think for tails tht e best thing to do is to use a yarn need le and kind of sew it into the side seam so you cant see it anymore but theres no fraying yarn from it getting cut off

Just subbed! I tried knitting once and sucked at it, but I'm definitely trying again. Awesome production value too - the intro, the instructions, for me, everything works. Reading the comment about the music, I would have to disagree, since the music really creates this nice vibe, and for me, it keeps me paying attention to what you're saying. Sorry for the long comment, but I just found this channel by chance and was very impressed. Looking forward to your next videos!

You know, the backwards loop cast on that you do might be a fast cast on but it can be a terrible cast on, namely, very tight. I myself prefer the long tail cast on and can do it fast, it just comes with years of doing the long tail cast on. In fact, I rarely ever use a different cast on unless the pattern says otherwise.

I want to make one for myself now but I was hoping you could recommend a type of yarn to use. The first one I made I used RedHeart super saver. It was not too easy to work with for this particular pattern. Would a natural fiber be better? Thanks in advance.
