I really appreciate this video. I was looking for some information and this was spot on. Every other knitting videos are sooo long that I’m giving up after few minutes. This was great, short, informative and very helpful. Thank you!

The Cocktail Cardigan by Tricot Design has both the saddle shoulder and a double knit button band :)

this is just what I wanted!
I made champagne cardigan last April and quite enjoyed it but not very suited for spring. and then I was drone to April cardigan but I was not sure about what the differences are between those two so i was having second thought about making april cardigan.
I think I will make April cardigan for this fall!

Hi. Would you mind sharing what about the Champagne cardigan that makes it not suited for spring? I'm contemplating between Champagne and April.

Thanks for this video - it was very helpful. I have knitted the Champagne cardigan and would like to knit another one. I have also knitted the Agnete cardigan and liked the integrated double-knit button band - as I will not have to pick up all those stitches at the end. Your video was helpful in showing the different shoulder construction and I think I'll try to use a saddle-shoulder in my next project. I guess this means knitting an April cardigan with the gauge of champagne cardigan and Agnete button band.
I don't see short rows in the April cardigan to raise the neck. Do you think this is needed?

Thank you for posting this, this is really informative, I've looked many times online for this comparison! I'm still not sure which one to make though - I like the lighter weight of the April but I like my cardigans with more ease (maybe not quite 10" though). Any idea whether it would be easier to size up the April or knit the Champagne with a lighter weight yarn?
