Since it's big box predecessor sports high prices on the used market, I'm glad to see this wonderful and wiggly vibrato return in a smaller format. I'm excited to say that this Vibrato doesn't disappoint. It sounds so blissfully warm, wavy and dreamy, like a beautiful blanket of nostalgia, that you just want to stay under forever. It's one of the most musical vibratos out there.

Thank you so much for another amazing pedal show and tell. The Pedal Zone is one of the subscriptions I never regret and always come away enthralled with the endless variety of amazing changes these small circuits add to the soundscape.
Deeply humbled and honored by your sweet words. Thank you for making my day
Hi Stefan! Thanks a lot one more time for sharing your talents, great chorus sounds! God bless you!
Thank you for the sweet words. And thank you for watching and listening. Means a lot!
When I heard this pedal was back, I had to check this channel for a demo first. Awesome as always
Thanks you so much!!
I’ve got an original and this one is a little better. I collect pitch Vibrato pedals and this is the very best one I’ve ever had.
That’s very cool to hear!
Cool! Have you tried the subdecay Siren? I find it pretty unique
I'm lucky enough to own the original one. Desert island pedal for me. I hear they kept the sound on the reissue. Beautiful sounding pedal.
Awesome to hear that you think they nailed the sound of the original. I've never played the OG big box, so I wouldn't know. But what I do know, is that this reissue version here sounds absolutely phenomenal!
Great demo, loved it! Great playing.
Happy to hear that, man! Cheers 😊
Vibrato feels like fuzz in that it’s something I I don’t feel “whole” playing without it
The synth bits took the cake
Thanks! Now I want cake 🎂😹 Happy you enjoyed the synth example. Always fun to mess around with pitch modulation on synth, and this one bends and moves in all the right nostalgic ways
I was so gutted when the OG was discontinued. Imo the best Vibrato pedal ever made
Totally understand now why the OG got so much hype. This new reissue sounds absolutely divine
@@thepedalzone I'm unemployed now and selling most of my equipment but this is maybe the one pedal (reissue) for which I'd make an exception.
@@thepedalzone Mozztronics (Australian builder) has an affordable alternative
It's really nice. Very lush chorus. But, my desert island choice for pitch instability would be the Fairfield Circuitry Shallow Water, because I like the fact the vibrato isn't predictably periodic. similar with Strymon Magneto and it's Flutter etc... and it's more subtle. But, then again, they don't do a Chorus like this.
Sounds awesome, if it had lfo options including random I would probably be selling something to get it.
Been waiting for this since SGFX brought back Diamond. The smaller form factor and top-mounted jacks are a welcome innovation. Slightly nervous about the prospect of this "Compandor Circuit" but it won't stop me from ordering one immediately.
The only feedback I've been getting from people who've played the original, is that the new one sounds even better. So I don't think you have anything to fear. It's awesome!
@@thepedalzone I haven't had the chance to A/B it against my original, but having integrated the new one into my rig and taken it for a spin with the full band, it's fantastic! Definitely feels a little cleaner and clearer, while still retaining the ability to get the darker, grittier tones of the original. Love the ability to hold down the footswitch and double up the rate, too. I never have enough room on my board for EXP pedals so I used to keep the rate on my original cranked, which limited its overall utility. Now I can get a slower, more broadly useful rate out of it without sacrificing the freak-out rate for certain song sections. Diamond knocked this out of the park!
Seems like there's a signal interruption when turning it on.
What kind of synth is that? Sounds amazing!
It’s an Arturia Microfreak. Amazing instrument!
Sounds great! All I have to do now is learn how to play guitar :p
Happy you like it! It’s a stellar pedal. This thing sounds great on whatever instrument you throw at it, so if your main instrument is something else than the guitar, then give it a go there. I think this pedal sounds amazing on synths. Really good on bass as well actually
Does it have a momentary latch mode?
Yes, hold down the switch when you plug it in and it will change from latching to momentary.
@@tylerbutler883 Perfect!!
hey dude, fyi
there might be something wrong with your VO audio in this vid.
first?
amazing playing btw.
Thank you!
Too bad it doesn’t have the expression pedal outs.
Sounds good, but pretty much like every other vibrato. I use the EQD Aurelius and can’t see ever replacing it.
