heres my theories about little nightmares: The painting/photo of the five women in the Lady’s quarters is not of the Lady and the “staff” of the Maw, but instead of the 4 past owners of the Maw with the Lady in the middle. Our character is named Six because she is sixth in line to become owner of the Maw. Perhaps the Lady’s name was Five? The guests are NOT eating the children! The body bags are WAY too big for them to be the small children that inhabit the Prison. The same can be said for the room of shoes; WAY too big to be the children’s shoes. The guests are actually eating the previous guests. It has been confirmed that the guests who enter the Maw are “never seen again”. The chunks of meat seen in the kitchen and guest area are too big to be child meat so it must be meat from the previous guests. The children seen being wrapped up by the Janitor were the ones who died on the Maw. Not killed but just died from disease or hunger. Think about it; the Maw is out at sea ALL THE TIME and with that can come some diseases and what not. After all, a Janitor is there to clean up. Six is down in the suitcase because she has been, in a way, banished. The Lady knows that Six is the next in line to take over ownership but the Lady doesn’t want to give up her position. So she puts Six as far away from her as possible; in the bowels of the Maw. Maybe Six was originally part of the staff but when the Lady discovered that Six was next in line, she was put away. Perhaps that’s why Six has pictures inside her suitcase? The Janitor is actually a friendly person. It seems unlikely since he captures you but he’s just doing his job. When we first see him he’s “watching” over the children in the beds. And, unlike the Chefs who will just throw you in an oven and turn it on, the Janitor just catches you. Maybe he puts you back where you came from? The Granny is actually the Janitor’s wife.
The last part is wrong I think The Janitor is the Granny’s son and maybe in Six Campaign the one in the Shoe Pit was actually the Grandpa and The Lady is not Granny’s Daughter she was just hired to help the Lady take care of the children’s a long time ago so there😕
I sometimes think that the Janitor thinks he's playing hide and seek with Six. Because he's smiling. Idk if he stops smiling at some point but he seems to be enjoying the chase. So maybe the children like to play with him. And then Six chops off his arms... But the theory regarding that Six is named that because she's the sixth owner of the Maw is really good. I deeply believe it. However, some people call the runaway kid "Seven", and that kinda confuses me.
You're the only UA-camr I've seen that actually has delved into the theory and story behind little nightmares. I've watched other UA-camrs play it and it's so frustrating that they don't have the eye for detail like you lol. It's also really nice that you incorporate so many clips referring back to things if we don't remember what the scenes looked like. In my opinion, all your hard work for these theory videos is SUPER appreciated as well as effective. It's obvious that Six absorbed the powers from the Lady but I never once thought about the other things she ate! Also having you reference the comic is very nice since I'm sure a lot of people haven't ever read it or even know about it. If there is a sequel do you plan on making more theory videos? I really hope so as these videos are just absolutely amazing to watch!

I really like his theories and ''itsjustjord'' 's theories as well both seem to me the closest to what my mind would consider ''logical'' for little nightmares.

This theory with the mirror showing the lady’s ugly face... it reminds me of “the picture of Dorian gray.” The story shows a man who wanted to live forever as long as a painting of him is alive. He succeeded for a while... but then he realized that the painting looked horrible, ugly, and bloody
There's something no one has been talking about and it's driving me insane. The song at the end of the residence is the same song that lady hums. it could be the song that she's trying to recreate when she's humming by herself in her room. There is no limits to the theories that can be based off of this one bit of information. For example it could be the song she heard as a child and would sing it to the other children
Continuing and now full out revealing my theory from the last video, this is a time loop, whereas when Mono eventually becomes the Thin Man, due to the dimensions she and Mono were in, Six gains her hunger and Shadow Six [spoiler alert: the secret ending where Shadow Six looks to the Maw] and that leads to Six going to the Maw in order to "eat". In the first Little Nightmares game, when Six gains the Lady's powers, I believe that the Lady IS Six. The monster that Six became is the face of the Lady during the Runaway Kid's DLC and that's why we actually don't see Six's face when she becomes that monster. So when Six does become the Lady, that is why the Lady wears a mask, in order to forget the painful memory of betraying Mono, this being shown when she doesn't want to surround herself with mirrors that reflect the monster she was. Maybe that's why she chose to turn the Runaway Kid into a gnome... Possibly being reminded of Mono when she saw him. Maybe the Lady/Six knew what her fate was and knows of the time loop they’re in, because when she is defeated, the mirror is like breaking the music box, and this is why we see a music box in the Lady’s quarters. We get that the Thin Man is Future Mono, and that’s why the Thin Man is desperate to catch or perhaps separate Mono and Six so Mono wouldn’t have to face the same fate again… And to perhaps break the time loop. If he manages to stop the loop, Mono doesn’t become the Thin Man, and Six doesn’t gain this hunger and darkness and become the Lady. As for the hanging man, maybe it IS Mono, or rather the Thin Man, BECAUSE we do not see any other TV in the maw other than the one the Janitor has and that is how he got into the Maw and possibly killed himself. Even further, if we connect the story from the Very Little Nightmares game, in the end, the original bearer of the yellow raincoat (who is NOT Six) perishes with the Child or the Duchess character, leaving Six to escape. We see the yellow raincoat drift away, possibly how it then reaches the City. In LN2, when Six spots the raincoat, she’s reminded of the girl who saved her and decides to wear the raincoat. That would mean that the girl is also linked to the time loop, and is the one who saves Six, to where Six escapes and is captured by the Hunter. Therefore every time the time loop begins, there will always be someone to be Mono and someone to be Six. Eventually, the new Six and Mono will come back and then become the new Thin Man and Lady. And that's why when the description of the Thin Man who is searching for something is looking for a way where this time loop can break so he and Six can be saved. Because when Six and Mono dangled at the end, Six hesitated to let go. I believe that Six didn't want to let go of Mono but she had no choice. At least that's my theory
Your wrong, Six is not the lady. And the reason why The Lady is wearing a mask its because she thought that she was ugly so thats why she wears a mask cause she thought people will judge about her face being ugly. Six betrayed Mono its because at the last part on LN 2 on where Six holds Mono's hand on the place where Six betrayd Mono, its because Mono looked like Thin man but on his younger version. Six thought she is not safe to be with Mono because he sees Mono's face as the thin man so she dropped her and took his powers to get out of the TV.
I know it sounds weird, but it actually makes me feel better about six eating him. Like he wasn't just ousted just to be done with him! No there was a purpose!... hopefully his theory is true or the devs consider it!.
I suppose if they both would have been caught in the end then it probably was the only option, you could say that although the runaway kid didn’t intend to give his life up, it’s lucky he did otherwise the continuation of wrong doings would have still took place at the maw at the hands of the geisha.
Beaver, I agree that Six absorbs the essence of the things she eats but I think I know why Fear took her to the the Maw, or back to the Maw. That part of the comic that had Fear take her back to the Maw took place after Six killed and ate The Lady, but after that Six got out of the Maw, but lost her magic. That's why in the comics the guests were shocked that Six was there and why Fear took her back to the Maw as a punishment. And there was also a new lady, that Six defeats in the end of her campain, Shadow Six. That means that Six went through the same experience twice. And this makes sense that she knows what to do in the campaign, and the part of The Runaway Kid getting eaten by her, takes place on Six's second time on the Maw. Well that's just a theory, A LITTLE NIGHTMARES THEORY.

One of the most condescending things I've ever heard. Like no, obviously that alone is not why people came to that conclusion. Plus it's not like abusive relationships aren't a thing in real life and fiction, so it's not that far fetched of a theory.

I noticed that too, and I guess it meant that, for what the Lady truly is, it's her inner anger and greed screaming at the child (if they really are the source of her youth). Probably because her secret was discovered, her reflection screamed, while she, her physical appearance, didn't 'scream' because of the fact that she truly still wants to care for children. But she knows that she just can't do that anymore, because her vanity gets in the way and her true self is extremely greedy in wanting to keep herself beautiful despite not being able to see herself as one anymore. It became a curse for her, basically. I guess.
My 3 theories Theory 1 - Six is actually the 6th monster of the Maw. 1. The Janitor 2 & 3. The cooks/twins 4. The Lady 5. The Granny 6. Six (This is more of a guess than a theory.) Theory 2. Six is actually a Wendigo. A wendigo can be created anytime someone commits an act of cannibalism of any kind. A Wendigo is a creature that is said to have an insatiable lust for blood and are never satisfied no matter how much they consume. In some tales the Wendigo can take the power/abilities of those they consume. (This theory is supported if the meat Six eats at the begins is in fact human flesh.) Theory 3. The Lady is in fact the Baba Yaga. Now hear me out of this. The Baba Yaga was once a beautiful lady who sold her soul for immortality at a great price. The Baba Yaga is a supernatural being that appears as a deformed and/or ferocious-looking woman. The Baba Yaga eats/consumes small children to steal their youth. She tends to hide her true appearance by wearing a mask/disguise as she is ashamed of what she has become. The BabaYaga may help or hinder those that encounter or seek her out and may play a maternal role. The Baba Yaga commonly appears as either a donor, villain, or may be altogether ambiguous. She is enigmatic and often exhibits striking ambiguity. The Baba Yaga is seen as a many-faceted figure, capable of inspiring people to see her as a Cloud, Moon, Death, Winter, Snake, Bird, Pelican, Earth Goddess, totemic matriarchal ancestress, female initiator, phallic mother, or archetypal image. She also is said to live in a house with only one door that resembles a mouth. The house is able to uproot itself and move freely walking with the legs of a chicken. I mean it's a stretch but, you never actually see the bottom of the maw. For those who know the tale yes I know she is typically seen in the forest, but why can't she just be a new spin of the tale and reside at sea? (I strongly believe in this theory as there are a lot of similarities.)

I look closer at the Lady's face and it does resemble's the Granny,so i think what happened is the Granny is actually the previous Lady, in "The residence" DLC we see 4 statues. What if those means each individual lady that has been in the maw, so once a Lady get's old. The Lady got replaced by the other Lady, and then when The Lady cheated on her youth form.She get's the form of the previous Lady, that's why i think The Lady resembles of the Granny
I was thinking that too. In the DLC when you play as the runaway kid, theres never a point where you're just sitting there waiting to throw bread. The only time you see 6 is in the 3rd DLC that takes place in the mansion, where you use the giant eye and look through all the places you've been, seeing 6 in the shoe room. It would make sense for him to be the one who gives 6 the bread just so theres a connection between the 2, but seeing as how far ahead of 6 he was, I just dont see how thats possible.
Yeah, the timeline does not work at all for the Runaway to be the one that gave her bread. I figured after playing all of the DLCs he would drop that theory. The DLCs give you clues as to when things line up between the two stories. No matter how you look at it, the Bread Kid and the Runaway kid can not be the same person.
i became so sad of the ending in the dlc. I rewatched it even though I know what happens but still. It's sad that he just suddenly died trying to offer Six the sausage to instead be eaten instead. Like why??

It’s a photo of a cancelled game from Tarsier Studios called “The City Of Metronome” They cancelled it because, they thought it was too generic and so, they used some ingredients from this game and made little nightmares. The city of metronome is also in a different universe.
Can Six turn the Nomes back into children now that she has The Lady's dark powers? And is Six more powerful than the lady when the lady had the dark powers? Would that mean if they make a Little Nightmares 2 that Six will be the final boss like the lady!? 😱
The “eating things, collecting their essence” Is a good theory but one problem with that is that six was crawling through vents way before she got the rat. Other than that the theory makes total sense.
Its because the sixth sin of the deadly sins is gluttony. Gluttony is basically absurd uncontrolled eating. It was out of six's power to eat everything else. Also with little nightmares 2 coming out, the new character mono is an interesting take. Mono means one, and the first deadly sin is pride. The official little nightmares website said that Mono has a desire to finish anything he starts. Perhaps he is cursed with a sin as well?
Here's my interpretation of the whole thing: The Maw used to be run by children cuz all the levers and buttons were made at a convienient child size. This also might explain a promotional pictures of Six helping a lady in the bath. The Lady wanted a family and couldn't so she sends the Ferryman to pick up kids. The Janitor and the Granny came to the Maw to take care of the kids. The Chefs would cook the meals and the kids would serve them. Kids working at the Maw is the closest thing she has to a fully fledged family and she loves them with all her heart. The Maw is enchanted with a spell that makes the guests extremely hungry and business is booming. But one day, one guest got so hungry that they ate a kid. This made the other guests crave children meat too. So, the Lady made a desicion to turn half of the children into Gnomes who help around the Maw and half are fed to the guests so they don't eat the Gnomes. She still wanted kids so she made the Shadow Children but still wasn't happy. She adopted a little girl but she escaped. Because of the sins she had commited, feeding the children to the guests and doing black magic, mirrors started showing who she became. An ugly old woman. The Gnomes wants to escape to and the Lady can't bear to lose more kids so she made a deal with them. They would work in the engine room and they get to see their old selves again with the magic fire. Because the Granny loved the kids, she was furious when she found out. The Lady had to banish her to the depths of the Maw and the Janitor felt sorry so he began feeding her scraps. The Lady blinded the Janitor cuz she suspected that he'd end up like the Granny. He is told that half of the kids are rats and will be sent to the kitchen for sausages. He complies, sending kids he catches to the kitchen and the rest of the kids are taken care of until they get turned into Gnomes. The Lady can't bear to look at her face again so she smashes all the mirrors she could get her hands on. Then, Six arrives at the Maw and Little Nightmares happens. Idk this is just a theory. Edit: I edited the theory to explain some other things I had in mind.
The theory was very nice. Well done once again. However there is something very important that i think you missed. And that's that the runaway kid was never confirmed to be the kid who gave six the bread. In fact it would be nearly impossible for Runaway to have been the same kid. (Not only did he escape before six, his whole ordeal was observed and we would have seen him feed six earlier in the dlc at some point.) And without Runaway being the bread kid the ending trophy "we'll meet again" doesn't make much sense. (Because neither kids have had any real interaction with each other throughout game.) Or at least it wouldn't, UNLESS it wasn't referring to an encounter that's already happened; but rather foreshadowing a reunion that has yet to have taken place in the game. In fact maybe, just maybe, the trophy wasn't referencing Runaway and Six. It was a message between Runaway and the players. Not a requiem for a dead character, but a promise that you will see them again. And yes, i realize that's a bit of a far reach. But you never actually see the Runaway die- even if it is heavily implied. And we've already seen spirit like aberrations that seem to prove a soul can cling to the world even after death. In a world as strange and terrifying as the one Little Nightmares has created its not much more of a stretch to believe that the Runaway kid is still around- in some shape or form. And i still hold on to the hope that he still has a part to play in whatever comes next.
Right. Cause there was a part in one of RK's DLC'S where you find a room and can see Six in the twins chef's kitchen on camera(think it was the kitchen haven't played the previous ones again) and then when RK is trapped by the Janitor he was the kid in the cage that we see taken away after Six tried to eat the food inside the cage and was trapped as well. So their stories were definitely happening at the same time more or less. I think as the nome he tried to give her the sausage cause he saw she was hungry. Don't think it had anything to do with the lunchroom kid. I think RK had been through so much and saw some of what Six had been through as well and wanted to do anything to help her escape since he couldn't.

And you're right about that if the lunchroom kid was RK we should have seen him feed her at some point and at no point do we even see RK interact with food until he becomes the nome.

The kid that gives Six the bread isn't the Runaway Kid. This was confirmed by their Twitter account. Just throwing that out there for anyone curious. I know that little detail isn't important at all, and that this video is from 2 years ago as of this comment, but still.

Ok, ok, I have to say this... could it be possible that Six could be the Lady's STEP-daughter? Here's the little story I came up with. The hanging man is Six's father and Six's birth mother died for some reason, and her father didn't want Six to grow up without a mother, so, he married the Lady. They were living happily, then, the Lady had a daughter of her own... the run away girl. I know u said that she didn't marry BEFORE the Maw, so, she married Six's father with her job on the Maw. They had a fight, which lead the hanging man to take his daughter, Six, and run away into the deep parts of the Maw. The Lady's own daughter, the run away girl, became a reminder of the family she had lost. So, she sent her to live with the rest of the children. She sent letters to her husband, hoping he would change his mind and come back. Until she learned that he had committed suicide before he could read her last letter. Still working out the details. Hope this might help with some more theories.
A theory that I have about the post that you talked about is that seeing that moms want their children to stay children forever that could be why the lady is keeping the children and the children want to leave and be adults like any kid wood
My own theory is that the Lady wants Six gone because Six was sent in the Maw to take the Lady's place (it would explain her strange hunger the runaway kid lacked, Six is not "normal" the same way the Lady isn't) . The Lady we see is turning into a "Granny " so a replacement must be found as the Maw needs a Lady to control it...and maybe the Lady doesn't want to be substituted for two reasons: she would lose her beauty and powers AND she would be thrown away like the previous Lady had been, and her pride could not stand it. Thus Six (The sixth "Lady") had to go, one way or another...but that is just my theory! A GAME theory! XD XD XD XD XD XD

This is so interesting. It can be read so many different ways. On the topic of a sequel, I thought it would be interesting if you played as a character, and then find out it is the geisha, as we get more information about her and the others in the maw. Or even play as a child that shows how the geisha came to be like this. I really hope they do a sequel, or another DLC.
I have a little theory of my own. What if the man who hanged himself, who we assume to be the Bellman, rebelled against the Lady? First I wanna talk about the mirror Six uses to defeat the Lady. Why is it even there? It doesn't make sense that the Lady would break all mirrors except for one. Let's go back to the Bellman. I think that the Bellman is related to the Janitor. They could be related, like how the chefs are like twins, the big differences between the Janitor and the hanged man (the Bellman) connect them, the Janitor has long arms, the Bellman has long legs. And if they aren't blood related then I think that the Bellman, like the Janitor was a caretaker for the Maw. As we see in one of the concept art pictures the Maw is HUGE and as handy as the Janitor is (pun intended) he can't be everywhere at once. My theory is that the Bellman took care of some parts of the Maw. It always bugged me why does the Hiddeaway look abandoned? The Janitor is seen there but he isn't doing a very good job at taking care of the place. The only explanation I can think of is that someone else ran that place, someone who is now gone, to me that is the Bellman. So what else did the Bellman do? Well I think he was like a warden to the Prison, which is why he was hanging there and he was also the one watching from the surveillance rooms. A lot of people seem to forget about them. The first one you see is before you enter the Lair. The Janitor couldn't possibly be the one using it. The other one is in the Hideaway, which reinforces my theory about the one using those rooms to also run the Hideaway and being the hanged man (the Bellman). One more reason why I think there is someone other than the Lady who is watching is the post-credit scene in the DLC. In it we see that the credits where played on a TV. Furthermore to me it seemed that someone was watching the whole DLC on that TV, the chair, the cigarettes etc. And finally the figure that appears in the TV, it has long legs and a hat that kind of resembles that of the Janitor. I think that person is also the hanged man. This brings us to the conclusion that the hanged man, who we assume to be the Bellman, stood against the Lady, that's why he was killed and it was made to look like suicide (another theory which says that the chair is too small and should've been kicked to the ground if it really was suicide). But before he died he left a mirror in the Lady's quarters and left a clue (the hidden last image in the surveilance room before the Lair where the mirror Six uses to kill the Lady is shown) in hope that one day a kid will escape and defeat the Lady, doing what the poor Bellman could not.

This is probably obvious, but do you know the geisha’s humming song 7:45, she was humming the tune of the sequence when the runaway kid was as a nome and he was in the room with the sausage. So she (or the developers) kinda hinted/ foreshadowed to us that she was involved with that nome. It’s kinda hard to explain but hopefully you get the gist of it. (Also in runaway kids chapter, when the lady was in the room with dolls the music box was playing that tune Aswell, so that was foreshadowing his fate aswell)
This kinda reminds me of hocus pocus, where the witches take the youth of the children away by magic,making the three sisters young forever, also leading to the childs death.but one childs youth doesn't last forever, thats why they continued to take children away. Eyes are the gateway to the soul and mirrors reflect thing the lady is looking at the mirror through her eyes the mirror is showing the lady her soul either that or she keeps her looks but she is still aging and the mirror shows her true self
Could it also be possible the maw is used to be a daycare and would sail to get more children to take care of them. The room where six first sees the janitor is where the children sleep(it also looks like where orphans sleep in an orphanage with bunk beds), and now is where he keeps the children to keep them safe.Below the lady because the lady never seems to leave the floor she’s on. And that’s why in some of the pictures he’s holding hands with some of the children. And he feeds the granny because he was the grandpa before being the janitor. In the early days of the maw they both ran a orphanage . The children were allowed to wander when one day some of them never came back. When they found out it was the lady they hid them away in the lower parts of the maw. But making sure when the children die that they dispose of them properly so they wouldn’t arouse suspicion under the watchful eye of the lady. When she found out what they were doing she ripped his eyes out and banished the granny to loneliness away from the children she loves. From that day on he protects the children by keeping the children safely down in the depths. Plus to add to your theory that lady uses children to stay young Lady is a word used to describe a woman that is old or wise. This is probably completely far fetched and is not true, but gotta try.
What if the hanging man use to make mirrors for the lady and when the mirrors started to show her in a hideous state in a fit of rage trapped the hanging man who eventually committed suicide
And probably the hanging man was in love with the Lady. But with the things that had happened, mirrors showing a hideous face of the Lady and the Lady imprisoning the hanging man in the same place where Six was held (I guess the most isolated place possible? So I guess the *worst* possible place to put him in?) out of anger because of those mirrors, he felt extremely disappointed with himself for failing the Lady in obtaining her happiness, hence that's the reason why he killed himself. Probably.

heres my theories about little nightmares:
The painting/photo of the five women in the Lady’s quarters is not of the Lady and the “staff” of the Maw, but instead of the 4 past owners of the Maw with the Lady in the middle. Our character is named Six because she is sixth in line to become owner of the Maw. Perhaps the Lady’s name was Five?
The guests are NOT eating the children! The body bags are WAY too big for them to be the small children that inhabit the Prison. The same can be said for the room of shoes; WAY too big to be the children’s shoes. The guests are actually eating the previous guests. It has been confirmed that the guests who enter the Maw are “never seen again”. The chunks of meat seen in the kitchen and guest area are too big to be child meat so it must be meat from the previous guests.
The children seen being wrapped up by the Janitor were the ones who died on the Maw. Not killed but just died from disease or hunger. Think about it; the Maw is out at sea ALL THE TIME and with that can come some diseases and what not. After all, a Janitor is there to clean up.
Six is down in the suitcase because she has been, in a way, banished. The Lady knows that Six is the next in line to take over ownership but the Lady doesn’t want to give up her position. So she puts Six as far away from her as possible; in the bowels of the Maw. Maybe Six was originally part of the staff but when the Lady discovered that Six was next in line, she was put away. Perhaps that’s why Six has pictures inside her suitcase?
The Janitor is actually a friendly person. It seems unlikely since he captures you but he’s just doing his job. When we first see him he’s “watching” over the children in the beds. And, unlike the Chefs who will just throw you in an oven and turn it on, the Janitor just catches you. Maybe he puts you back where you came from?
The Granny is actually the Janitor’s wife.
The last part seems a bit strange, but the rest is actually a very interesting theory that fits with the rest of the information given! Well done!

I sometimes think that the Janitor thinks he's playing hide and seek with Six. Because he's smiling. Idk if he stops smiling at some point but he seems to be enjoying the chase. So maybe the children like to play with him. And then Six chops off his arms...

You're the only UA-camr I've seen that actually has delved into the theory and story behind little nightmares. I've watched other UA-camrs play it and it's so frustrating that they don't have the eye for detail like you lol. It's also really nice that you incorporate so many clips referring back to things if we don't remember what the scenes looked like. In my opinion, all your hard work for these theory videos is SUPER appreciated as well as effective. It's obvious that Six absorbed the powers from the Lady but I never once thought about the other things she ate! Also having you reference the comic is very nice since I'm sure a lot of people haven't ever read it or even know about it.

Laмira i know right ? The bit about how she learned to go thru pipes after eating the rat is really clever and also that picture in the suitcase at the very beginning of the game. I really like his theories and ''itsjustjord'' 's theories as well both seem to me the closest to what my mind would consider ''logical'' for little nightmares.

The song at the end of the residence is the same song that lady hums. it could be the song that she's trying to recreate when she's humming by herself in her room. There is no limits to the theories that can be based off of this one bit of information. For example it could be the song she heard as a child and would sing it to the other children

Continuing and now full out revealing my theory from the last video, this is a time loop, whereas when Mono eventually becomes the Thin Man, due to the dimensions she and Mono were in, Six gains her hunger and Shadow Six [spoiler alert: the secret ending where Shadow Six looks to the Maw] and that leads to Six going to the Maw in order to "eat". In the first Little Nightmares game, when Six gains the Lady's powers, I believe that the Lady IS Six. The monster that Six became is the face of the Lady during the Runaway Kid's DLC and that's why we actually don't see Six's face when she becomes that monster. So when Six does become the Lady, that is why the Lady wears a mask, in order to forget the painful memory of betraying Mono, this being shown when she doesn't want to surround herself with mirrors that reflect the monster she was. Maybe that's why she chose to turn the Runaway Kid into a gnome... Possibly being reminded of Mono when she saw him. Maybe the Lady/Six knew what her fate was and knows of the time loop they’re in, because when she is defeated, the mirror is like breaking the music box, and this is why we see a music box in the Lady’s quarters. We get that the Thin Man is Future Mono, and that’s why the Thin Man is desperate to catch or perhaps separate Mono and Six so Mono wouldn’t have to face the same fate again… And to perhaps break the time loop. If he manages to stop the loop, Mono doesn’t become the Thin Man, and Six doesn’t gain this hunger and darkness and become the Lady. As for the hanging man, maybe it IS Mono, or rather the Thin Man, BECAUSE we do not see any other TV in the maw other than the one the Janitor has and that is how he got into the Maw and possibly killed himself.
Even further, if we connect the story from the Very Little Nightmares game, in the end, the original bearer of the yellow raincoat (who is NOT Six) perishes with the Child or the Duchess character, leaving Six to escape. We see the yellow raincoat drift away, possibly how it then reaches the City. In LN2, when Six spots the raincoat, she’s reminded of the girl who saved her and decides to wear the raincoat. That would mean that the girl is also linked to the time loop, and is the one who saves Six, to where Six escapes and is captured by the Hunter.
Therefore every time the time loop begins, there will always be someone to be Mono and someone to be Six. Eventually, the new Six and Mono will come back and then become the new Thin Man and Lady. And that's why when the description of the Thin Man who is searching for something is looking for a way where this time loop can break so he and Six can be saved. Because when Six and Mono dangled at the end, Six hesitated to let go. I believe that Six didn't want to let go of Mono but she had no choice. At least that's my theory

I know it sounds weird, but it actually makes me feel better about six eating him. Like he wasn't just ousted just to be done with him! No there was a purpose!... hopefully his theory is true or the devs consider it!.
I suppose if they both would have been caught in the end then it probably was the only option, you could say that although the runaway kid didn’t intend to give his life up, it’s lucky he did otherwise the continuation of wrong doings would have still took place at the maw at the hands of the geisha.

Beaver, I agree that Six absorbs the essence of the things she eats but I think I know why Fear took her to the the Maw, or back to the Maw. That part of the comic that had Fear take her back to the Maw took place after Six killed and ate The Lady, but after that Six got out of the Maw, but lost her magic. That's why in the comics the guests were shocked that Six was there and why Fear took her back to the Maw as a punishment. And there was also a new lady, that Six defeats in the end of her campain, Shadow Six. That means that Six went through the same experience twice. And this makes sense that she knows what to do in the campaign, and the part of The Runaway Kid getting eaten by her, takes place on Six's second time on the Maw. Well that's just a theory, A LITTLE NIGHTMARES THEORY.

I noticed that too, and I guess it meant that, for what the Lady truly is, it's her inner anger and greed screaming at the child (if they really are the source of her youth). Probably because her secret was discovered, her reflection screamed, while she, her physical appearance, didn't 'scream' because of the fact that she truly still wants to care for children. But she knows that she just can't do that anymore, because her vanity gets in the way and her true self is extremely greedy in wanting to keep herself beautiful despite not being able to see herself as one anymore. It became a curse for her, basically. I guess.

Theory 1 - Six is actually the 6th monster of the Maw.

What if those means each individual lady that has been in the maw, so once a Lady get's old. The Lady got replaced by the other Lady, and then when The Lady cheated on her youth form.She get's the form of the previous Lady, that's why i think The Lady resembles of the Granny

The achievement you get at the end of the residents could also be referring to the point where six and the runaway kid met at the end of the dephs.
The kid that gave Six the bread wasn't the Runway Kid, he had escaped before Six made it to that point in the game.

I was thinking that too. In the DLC when you play as the runaway kid, theres never a point where you're just sitting there waiting to throw bread. The only time you see 6 is in the 3rd DLC that takes place in the mansion, where you use the giant eye and look through all the places you've been, seeing 6 in the shoe room. It would make sense for him to be the one who gives 6 the bread just so theres a connection between the 2, but seeing as how far ahead of 6 he was, I just dont see how thats possible.
Yeah, the timeline does not work at all for the Runaway to be the one that gave her bread. I figured after playing all of the DLCs he would drop that theory. The DLCs give you clues as to when things line up between the two stories. No matter how you look at it, the Bread Kid and the Runaway kid can not be the same person.
i became so sad of the ending in the dlc. I rewatched it even though I know what happens but still. It's sad that he just suddenly died trying to offer Six the sausage to instead be eaten instead. Like why??

That’s not concept art for little nightmares. It’s a photo of a cancelled game from Tarsier Studios called “The City Of Metronome”
They cancelled it because, they thought it was too generic and so, they used some ingredients from this game and made little nightmares.
The city of metronome is also in a different universe.

The “eating things, collecting their essence” Is a good theory but one problem with that is that six was crawling through vents way before she got the rat. Other than that the theory makes total sense.
Its because the sixth sin of the deadly sins is gluttony. Gluttony is basically absurd uncontrolled eating. It was out of six's power to eat everything else. Also with little nightmares 2 coming out, the new character mono is an interesting take. Mono means one, and the first deadly sin is pride. The official little nightmares website said that Mono has a desire to finish anything he starts. Perhaps he is cursed with a sin as well?

Here's my interpretation of the whole thing:
The Maw used to be run by children cuz all the levers and buttons were made at a convienient child size. This also might explain a promotional pictures of Six helping a lady in the bath. The Lady wanted a family and couldn't so she sends the Ferryman to pick up kids. The Janitor and the Granny came to the Maw to take care of the kids. The Chefs would cook the meals and the kids would serve them. Kids working at the Maw is the closest thing she has to a fully fledged family and she loves them with all her heart. The Maw is enchanted with a spell that makes the guests extremely hungry and business is booming. But one day, one guest got so hungry that they ate a kid. This made the other guests crave children meat too. So, the Lady made a desicion to turn half of the children into Gnomes who help around the Maw and half are fed to the guests so they don't eat the Gnomes. She still wanted kids so she made the Shadow Children but still wasn't happy. She adopted a little girl but she escaped. Because of the sins she had commited, feeding the children to the guests and doing black magic, mirrors started showing who she became. An ugly old woman. The Gnomes wants to escape to and the Lady can't bear to lose more kids so she made a deal with them. They would work in the engine room and they get to see their old selves again with the magic fire. Because the Granny loved the kids, she was furious when she found out. The Lady had to banish her to the depths of the Maw and the Janitor felt sorry so he began feeding her scraps. The Lady blinded the Janitor cuz she suspected that he'd end up like the Granny. He is told that half of the kids are rats and will be sent to the kitchen for sausages. He complies, sending kids he catches to the kitchen and the rest of the kids are taken care of until they get turned into Gnomes. The Lady can't bear to look at her face again so she smashes all the mirrors she could get her hands on. Then, Six arrives at the Maw and Little Nightmares happens.
Idk this is just a theory.

The theory was very nice. Well done once again. However there is something very important that i think you missed.
And that's that the runaway kid was never confirmed to be the kid who gave six the bread. In fact it would be nearly impossible for Runaway to have been the same kid. (Not only did he escape before six, his whole ordeal was observed and we would have seen him feed six earlier in the dlc at some point.)
And without Runaway being the bread kid the ending trophy "we'll meet again" doesn't make much sense. (Because neither kids have had any real interaction with each other throughout game.) Or at least it wouldn't, UNLESS it wasn't referring to an encounter that's already happened; but rather foreshadowing a reunion that has yet to have taken place in the game.
In fact maybe, just maybe, the trophy wasn't referencing Runaway and Six. It was a message between Runaway and the players.
Not a requiem for a dead character, but a promise that you will see them again.
And yes, i realize that's a bit of a far reach. But you never actually see the Runaway die- even if it is heavily implied. And we've already seen spirit like aberrations that seem to prove a soul can cling to the world even after death. In a world as strange and terrifying as the one Little Nightmares has created its not much more of a stretch to believe that the Runaway kid is still around- in some shape or form. And i still hold on to the hope that he still has a part to play in whatever comes next.

Cause there was a part in one of RK's DLC'S where you find a room and can see Six in the twins chef's kitchen on camera(think it was the kitchen haven't played the previous ones again) and then when RK is trapped by the Janitor he was the kid in the cage that we see taken away after Six tried to eat the food inside the cage and was trapped as well. So their stories were definitely happening at the same time more or less. I think as the nome he tried to give her the sausage cause he saw she was hungry. Don't think it had anything to do with the lunchroom kid. I think RK had been through so much and saw some of what Six had been through as well and wanted to do anything to help her escape since he couldn't.
And you're right about that if the lunchroom kid was RK we should have seen him feed her at some point and at no point do we even see RK interact with food until he becomes the nome.

The kid that gives Six the bread isn't the Runaway Kid. This was confirmed by their Twitter account. Just throwing that out there for anyone curious. I know that little detail isn't important at all, and that this video is from 2 years ago as of this comment, but still.

Ok, ok, I have to say this... could it be possible that Six could be the Lady's STEP-daughter? Here's the little story I came up with.
The hanging man is Six's father and Six's birth mother died for some reason, and her father didn't want Six to grow up without a mother, so, he married the Lady. They were living happily, then, the Lady had a daughter of her own... the run away girl. I know u said that she didn't marry BEFORE the Maw, so, she married Six's father with her job on the Maw. They had a fight, which lead the hanging man to take his daughter, Six, and run away into the deep parts of the Maw. The Lady's own daughter, the run away girl, became a reminder of the family she had lost. So, she sent her to live with the rest of the children. She sent letters to her husband, hoping he would change his mind and come back. Until she learned that he had committed suicide before he could read her last letter.
Still working out the details. Hope this might help with some more theories.

A theory that I have about the post that you talked about is that seeing that moms want their children to stay children forever that could be why the lady is keeping the children and the children want to leave and be adults like any kid wood

My own theory is that the Lady wants Six gone because Six was sent in the Maw to take the Lady's place (it would explain her strange hunger the runaway kid lacked, Six is not "normal" the same way the Lady isn't) . The Lady we see is turning into a "Granny " so a replacement must be found as the Maw needs a Lady to control it...and maybe the Lady doesn't want to be substituted for two reasons: she would lose her beauty and powers AND she would be thrown away like the previous Lady had been, and her pride could not stand it. Thus Six (The sixth "Lady") had to go, one way or another...but that is just my theory! A GAME theory! XD XD XD XD XD XD

This is so interesting. It can be read so many different ways. On the topic of a sequel, I thought it would be interesting if you played as a character, and then find out it is the geisha, as we get more information about her and the others in the maw. Or even play as a child that shows how the geisha came to be like this. I really hope they do a sequel, or another DLC.

I have a little theory of my own. What if the man who hanged himself, who we assume to be the Bellman, rebelled against the Lady? First I wanna talk about the mirror Six uses to defeat the Lady. Why is it even there? It doesn't make sense that the Lady would break all mirrors except for one. Let's go back to the Bellman. I think that the Bellman is related to the Janitor. They could be related, like how the chefs are like twins, the big differences between the Janitor and the hanged man (the Bellman) connect them, the Janitor has long arms, the Bellman has long legs. And if they aren't blood related then I think that the Bellman, like the Janitor was a caretaker for the Maw. As we see in one of the concept art pictures the Maw is HUGE and as handy as the Janitor is (pun intended) he can't be everywhere at once. My theory is that the Bellman took care of some parts of the Maw. It always bugged me why does the Hiddeaway look abandoned? The Janitor is seen there but he isn't doing a very good job at taking care of the place. The only explanation I can think of is that someone else ran that place, someone who is now gone, to me that is the Bellman. So what else did the Bellman do? Well I think he was like a warden to the Prison, which is why he was hanging there and he was also the one watching from the surveillance rooms. A lot of people seem to forget about them. The first one you see is before you enter the Lair. The Janitor couldn't possibly be the one using it. The other one is in the Hideaway, which reinforces my theory about the one using those rooms to also run the Hideaway and being the hanged man (the Bellman). One more reason why I think there is someone other than the Lady who is watching is the post-credit scene in the DLC. In it we see that the credits where played on a TV. Furthermore to me it seemed that someone was watching the whole DLC on that TV, the chair, the cigarettes etc. And finally the figure that appears in the TV, it has long legs and a hat that kind of resembles that of the Janitor. I think that person is also the hanged man. This brings us to the conclusion that the hanged man, who we assume to be the Bellman, stood against the Lady, that's why he was killed and it was made to look like suicide (another theory which says that the chair is too small and should've been kicked to the ground if it really was suicide). But before he died he left a mirror in the Lady's quarters and left a clue (the hidden last image in the surveilance room before the Lair where the mirror Six uses to kill the Lady is shown) in hope that one day a kid will escape and defeat the Lady, doing what the poor Bellman could not.

This is probably obvious, but do you know the geisha’s humming song 7:45, she was humming the tune of the sequence when the runaway kid was as a nome and he was in the room with the sausage. So she (or the developers) kinda hinted/ foreshadowed to us that she was involved with that nome. It’s kinda hard to explain but hopefully you get the gist of it.
(Also in runaway kids chapter, when the lady was in the room with dolls the music box was playing that tune Aswell, so that was foreshadowing his fate aswell)

Eyes are the gateway to the soul and mirrors reflect thing the lady is looking at the mirror through her eyes the mirror is showing the lady her soul either that or she keeps her looks but she is still aging and the mirror shows her true self
Could it also be possible the maw is used to be a daycare and would sail to get more children to take care of them. The room where six first sees the janitor is where the children sleep(it also looks like where orphans sleep in an orphanage with bunk beds), and now is where he keeps the children to keep them safe.Below the lady because the lady never seems to leave the floor she’s on. And that’s why in some of the pictures he’s holding hands with some of the children. And he feeds the granny because he was the grandpa before being the janitor. In the early days of the maw they both ran a orphanage . The children were allowed to wander when one day some of them never came back. When they found out it was the lady they hid them away in the lower parts of the maw. But making sure when the children die that they dispose of them properly so they wouldn’t arouse suspicion under the watchful eye of the lady. When she found out what they were doing she ripped his eyes out and banished the granny to loneliness away from the children she loves. From that day on he protects the children by keeping the children safely down in the depths. Plus to add to your theory that lady uses children to stay young Lady is a word used to describe a woman that is old or wise.

What if the hanging man use to make mirrors for the lady and when the mirrors started to show her in a hideous state in a fit of rage trapped the hanging man who eventually committed suicide
And probably the hanging man was in love with the Lady. But with the things that had happened, mirrors showing a hideous face of the Lady and the Lady imprisoning the hanging man in the same place where Six was held (I guess the most isolated place possible? So I guess the *worst* possible place to put him in?) out of anger because of those mirrors, he felt extremely disappointed with himself for failing the Lady in obtaining her happiness, hence that's the reason why he killed himself. Probably.
