Just a tiny thing I want to add. Six's hunger is a result of missing a piece of her 'soul' and isn't satiated until she gets another one, the lady's soul. Forget to say that specifically. Also if this cycle is to be true, then we can come to the conclusion that this is in fact the 6th time that this cycle has happened hence there only being 5 lady's in the picture. Six being the sixth one, on her way to eat the current one.
Nice theory. But why would the tall man go after 6 wouldn’t it be best if he went after mono because if he did do that six wouldn’t have to leave the place that actually meant something to her.
beaver theirs a gnome that lives in the hunters addict were the gnome hat is located how do u think the gnome got there and why it isnt in the maw with other gnomes to work on the furnace
Hey James six didn't betray mono think about it in the first game she ate every she saw when she was hungry soooooo she probably would of ate mono and you need to get the secret ending to see that she's hungry
You know what breaks my heart most? Even as the Tall Man, Mono doesn't want to harm Six. Despite what she did to him, he doesn't try to get revenge. He keeps her in a room, full of toys, and her music box. Even after she betrayed him, he still just wanted to be her friend.
U know what, yeah thats actually true It just shows mono is lonely, he gave six what she was comforted for and in a room, a comfort room.. Despite what she did, he didnt kill her but just turned her to a monster just like she did to him its like "Equal" mono is not a revengeful kid. Respect.
To be honest, I don't think Six tried to kill Mono because of that. I think after she got turned into a monster that's when Shadow Six was born and it was her influence on Six that killed Mono.
@ZzzzZ That’s True So After Saving her SO MANY times (i regret saving her) She Just Said “long live the king” and betrayed me and i now am planning revenge

you know what's interesting. even as the tall man, I think Mono still love Six, that's why he didn't just kill her or torture her as revenge. he put her in a room, and not like a torture chamber or isolation chamber, the room is filled with toys and her favorite music box. he didn't exploit her, he didn't punish her, I dare say she was even happy within that room until Mono come to break the spell.
@@jaysblushs7495 a reflection on what she truly was on the inside? All the monsters are big and Six is a kid hellbent on survival which ultimately turned her into a monster (eating the Nome, dropping Mono, eating the Lady etc.)
I read a theory that the Thin Man wasn't trying to warn Mono at all. He was trying to kill him for trying to take Six away from him. Throughout the game, Six was the one kept alive and sought after by the citizens of the Pale City. Once the Thin Man was released he took Six without paying any mind to Mono. It wasn't until Mono tried pulling Six out of the TV that the Thin Man started pursuing Mono. The theory is that this is when the Thin Man started seeing Mono as a threat for trying to take Six away from him. This is backed up by the official Little Nightmares Tweet that said he was possibly looking for a second chance. This means the Thin Man never blamed Six for what she did to him and came to the conclusion that HE must've done something wrong and was trying to make things right. That's why he never hurt her and gave her her own fantasy world, safe from the outside world.
@@shawty1016 Maybe because his young self is trying to “rescue” Six. If the reason for Six betraying Mono is because he destroyed her music box, then adult Mono might want to stop him to prevent the cycle from continuing (he knows young self can beat him). I am pretty sure Six is nine years old, so it’s safe to assume Mono is around the same age. Sitting in a chair from 9 years of age to an old adult age seems torturous. He could have tried to kill his young self to prevent the future he’s currently living. Or perhaps he’s pissed at himself for being trapped for 40+ years for a “mistake” he made as a child. Time travel/loops have been portrayed a lot, and in many different ways so I can’t say whether or not killing young him would destroy old him, but if it did he may not care. At least it breaks the cycle.
When Thin Man captured Six, a fragment of her soul was removed, becoming Dark Six. When Did was reverted from her monster form, she still didn’t have a soul, her hunger is her body’s attempt to fix it. Dark Six is actually the good half of her. Haunting herself when she does terrible things
I think it’s the signal tower is the antagonist I mean it captures Mono and he slowly turns into the thin man And it might be the reason six betrays Mono because she is still brain washed

Yeah when Six came back to her original self after Mono destroyed her music box, we could see she was pissed. You can just feel it. Her getting up slowly and just staring down at Mono rather than running up to him and greeting him. To Six, that exact time when Mono whacked her music box for the first time, she knew he was an enemy.
For me I think it’s because she knew what would happen if he broke it, that if she couldn’t be the host then the tower would take him instead, although it’s clear monster six loved the music box but six that’s in her right mind didn’t care THAT much about it at least not enough to kill someone over it So monster six did attack mono and defend the music box but I believe that deep down the real six had an influence, not to save the music box but to save mono, that’s why she’s so hollow after being saved (that and she lost her sole) If you don’t believe me here’s why I believe so 1st if six was as cold hearted as people believed then she wouldn’t have stopped to catch mono if she was she wouldn’t spend a single second longer there, six also doesn’t come across as sadistic 2nd the way she drops him comes across like ripping a band-Aid off, hesitating and ripping her hand away and she stares off even after she dropped him (like saying goodbye) 3rd the tower aims specifically at mono, breaks the part of the bridge that mono was running on, waits for six to drop him and only allows the rest of the bridge to crumble until after six leaves almost like it made a deal with six, “either leave mono here or I’ll keep you both” safe to say the bridge would’ve crumbled immediately after six pulled up mono 4th final one which is just speculation but I believe six chose to leave so she could get the power from the lady and come back to save mono Edit: but that’s just a theory, a game theory. I rather six not be totally evil which is another why I stand by theory
Bro please forgive me for the long ass reply 💀 did not realize I was yapping that much Edit: I feel like I should’ve just made this a normal comment instead of a reply lol I might later
i think all the "monsters" were once innocent children and were changed by the signal tower or the tv's, because as the name suggests, its a little "nightmare" meaning that everyone in the nightmare was once a child. I also believe that the people in the comics are gonna become the DLC's.
I completely agree. If you look into the lore of not only the bigger creatures of little nightmares but also the smaller creatures, like the gnomes or even the mannequins in number two, (if you haven't already) you will find them quite tragic.
I got chills watching it.. the most heartbreaking thing for me is to watch them form a friendship and have it ultimately ruined. And as you pointed out, when you watch Six closely you can see in her gestures how she slowly warms up to Mono. Even before releasing the Thin man, she is clearly terrified to death and she wants to run away from the TV, but she waits for Mono with her arm outstretched, beckoning him to start running as well. Idk it just makes me really sad that they had to end up like this.. but this was an amazing video, as always, thank you!
Another little tidbit, the fear of being alone is called monophobia. Rather than ending Six’s life once Mono became the thin man, he kept her in a room of toys and her own music box.
@@kikyoinuyashashipper4636 Nope he just wanted to make her feel the same he felt. he locked her in her room and made time speed up. even her limbs grew like his
@@YourNameHere i think he would lock six up so that the mono in the next cycle can get six to help mono break free and stop him from becoming the thin man
Probably little nightmares 3 will be about six in little nightmares 2 with six in little nightmares 1 as the lady, and many things will happen (bad things)
I think that for Six it wasn't just the music box that triggered her to drop Mono. She went to the music box after being taken by the Thin Man for comfort as she was so scared of the events and the song always calms her. Sharing the music box with Mono, a dear friend of hers who she trusts. So, when Mono breaks her music box, she panics and has a break down because that moment, her own friend destroys the thing that comforted her from such a traumatizing event. She can't be reasoned with because she is still so frightened by the events she acts out of anger. But once she is freed, she saves Mono, feeling guilty for her actions as in her mind he was her best friend who was trying to help. So, when she catches him, she sees something familiar about Mono and then it hits her, Mono is the Thin Man and his face being ever so alike to his causes Six to instinctively let go of his hand to get away from him. She's only 9 when she was taken by a man from the T.V and so to be around someone like that would overwhelm any child.
One thing about Six being the Lady... anyone else get the impression that these two are a little *too* different? Look at the Lady: dark and monstrous, yes, but her demeanour seems far calmer. Also, consider her immense vanity - she cares a little too much about her looks, having a lot of mannequins for various outfits, she sobs at looking at her twisted reflection, etc. Also linking back to the calm demeanour, the Lady also seems to show a strong maternal instinct, as seen as she caresses the doll in The Residence as well as her humming, suggesting she once had a relationship with someone else (could she have once been a mother?) Not once do we see any of these traits in Six. Think about it: throughout both games we see that Six is a survivor; she's scrappy, untrusting of others, even feral at times, and after leaving the Signal Tower, she appears callous and leaves Mono behind like nothing ever happens. In LN1 (which has been confirmed to be a sequel to LN2) she shows no concern for any of the other children; Six is out for herself. Plus, she comes across a music box in the prison on the Maw and doesn't seem to care about it at all; there's a small theory about Six moving away from her comfort zone surrounding the music box when Mono destroys it. She doesn't care about her appearance either. Yes we see her don the yellow raincoat, but it's to keep her safe from the cold, it isn't a fashion choice. So where would such a drastic change in character from a wild little survivor girl who doesn't need anyone to a vain motherly woman come from? And on top of that, after killing the Lady, Six immediately leaves the Maw. Does it seem like she'd ever have a reason to come back? She certainly doesn't seem like the settling down type. I know she's a child but even the idea that she grows up to become so radically different seems like a bit of a stretch to me, and I don't see how, after living in this cruel world for her whole life, that Six would ever grow out of those instincts that kept her alive for so long. But hey, that's just my opinion - feel free to disagree with me, all opinions are welcome, it's interesting to see people's viewpoints on this grim ambiguous world Tarsier has created
That is actually a good point. I honestly never believed six is the same person as the lady but I do think six might end up staying at the maw and become the new owner. So basically another lady but not the same exact person. But like you said, she doesn’t seem like the type to settle down at one place with the exception of her staying at the hunter’s place.
This is a totally valid theory, however I would argue that most people change pretty radically when they grow up. Elements of their nature will remain intact, but things like "becoming more vain" just sort of happen during adolescence, y'know? Plus the Lady is powerful and lives comfortably in a position of control - she isn't struggling day-to-day just to survive, so it makes sense that she could begin to indulge in a little vanity. I don't really think these particular differences preclude Six from becoming the Lady, but that's just me.
@@ThrillingDuck Agreed. The Maw consistently brings in new guests for the Lady's consumption, this could easily feed Six's hunger as well. Hence, the boat horn at the end of the game, signaling another shipment of guests to feast on.
No it's actually incredibly tragic. She shares her music box with you and shows absolutely no hostility until you attempt to break it.... I really want this cycle of suffering, revenge and hatred to end... if they could change the cycle both of them could be saved from their tragic fate and the events leading to the runaway kid being killed could be reversed as well

@@philly_keem8248 I picture our darkest self as the version void of love and just thinking about ourselves and not others at all. Doing whatever we want not caring about the consequences and who we hurt in the process.
Maybe there is no way to break this infinite loop. The Blob (this is what I'm gonna call the eye goop thing) is an immortal entity outside of time and space that takes away the bodies and glitched souls of the citizens of the pale city to survive. Whenever something bad happens, like the thin man catches mono and tells him not to go after six, it just creates a new timeline where this probability never happens, which explains the respawning animation. Maybe when mono/six spawns back, he/she is in a new timeline. IN the animations, the character wakes up from a nightmare after being killed. Maybe the character was having memories of the other timeline in which the loop was broken. Basically what I'm saying is that the blob wants to make the world dystopian, manipulating the 2 main characters essential to the loop (six and mono) to do what it wants them to do in order to continue the loop. The blob might be a god-level creature that cannot be comprehended by a human, so it appears as a giant tower. During his transformation into the thin man, over the years mono hunts the pale city for children, looking for six to kill her and have revenge and acquires his long clothes and hat (this explains the glitched remains). During this, Six asks the Ferryman to take her to the Maw, where she can have all the food she wants. She becomes hungrier and hungrier, eventually eating the Lady (her older self from the loop). The Lady tells her minions to hunt for children because she knows that she killed the Lady when she was young and she doesn't want that to happen to her. After present six kills the Lady, she inherits her powers and waits near the chimney of the ship for rescue, however, no rescue comes, only hordes of gluttonous people. She accepts her fate and starts controlling the Maw, till the next version of her kills her and so on. Maybe Six ( The Lady ) wears a porcelain mask to hide her face just in case Mono comes after her (as he's more powerful). I think the game symbolises the descent of mindset from a child to an adult, and how a child's innocence and goodness fades away into evil, as they continue their life, experiencing dark and horrible things. The Blob orchestrates all the events of all the games from beginning to end and repeats this infinitely for it's own malicious purpose. Anyways, that's my theory, hope it made some sense to you.
Yeah, it's like trying to show someone the hard cold truth, but they'd rather live in a beautiful lie, so they think you're trying to hurt them, but in reality you just want to help them.
You're a protagonist serving a role of a villain who looks out for herself, against the antagonist who is trying to break the cycle in order to save the world as the hero.
@@1DAR26 the protagonist is the one who the story follows, not the one who saves the day or does the right thing. If a game or show has a villain centric story, the villain is the protagonist, we see things from their eyes. The hero trying to stop them would be the antagonist to the person whose story we follow. A big theory going around of why six dropped mono is that she’d only seen him with his face covered or hidden under a hat. Once she saw his face, she saw he was the thin man who’d brought her into the nightmare
And to the secret ending we know that six stole some of monos power to go through the tv and accidentally severing her soul in the process making the "hunger" setting ln 1 in to motion

Good ending idea. When six is holding mono, mono starts humming the same song as the music box and make six understand that she is safe with him, making her pull him up and escape together.
One of the best ways to tell a story through a video game is either by the actions of the characters that inhabit the game, or the world the game takes place in. Sometimes, the latter is more powerful a statement.

Knowing what happened to six I believe that other adults in the game are in a similar state, imagine if the tower isn't the only building that is in of itself an entity. It's a lovecraftian thought but, take the teacher for example. Why would she be teaching about the tower unless she knows that something about it is special, apart from cooks, doctors and the staff of The Maw she's the only resident viewer that we saw with an occupation that involved children, dolls or no the bullies are still children, children who like herself are victims of the TV screens. Regarding Monster Six: I think a reason as to why you also run into 6 as a "monster six" is because maybe mono realized the reason Six dropped him was because he destroyed the only thing precious to six: the music box. So, after becoming the thin man, once mono recaptured six as the thin man, he may have given her the music box and gave six her own little "room" within the signal tower with him ( thinking this was the only way to make six happy ) when in reality he simply fed and created an unhealthy obsession over it within her, warping her appearance. Idk if this makes sense or not.
Did six betray Mono is really hard to tell But I am sure if we know why monster six didn't want to hurt mono when she had the music box then we might be able to answer this question. The key to this is the music box, six with the music box doesn't want to hurt mono even in her monster form, destroy the music box and she becomes vengeful and wants to kill mono
Can we talk about how, if this theory is true, it gives a new meaning to the title "Little Nightmares?" "Little" is a commonly used way to say "young." "Back when I was little," and stuff like that. If Six is the Lady and Mono is the Thin Man, both of whom are nightmares, then the story follows these nightmares when they were younger, or "little." So we are playing as and experiencing the story of the "Little Nightmares."
Yesss! This makes so much sense and makes the entire story even darker. These children are basically unknowingly creating their own nightmares. Decend to repeat itself.
Wait this actually makes sense but the thing is there are multiple monsters so how many kids would we get to play as if this theory was true? And what would happen when we complete all the games?
19:02 , Top right, raptor jesus. Honestly the coolest, most deep thought in this entire video. That comment gave me goosebumps and it all comes together and makes so much sense. I've watched a lot of theory videos for little nightmares and no one has ever mentioned that.

Seven probably got the worst fate in my opinion because he is stuck to repeat a cycle of always getting close to freedom, only to become a Nome by the Lady and inevitably cannibalized by Six.
When six eats something she doesn't just consume it normally. She consumes the sense itself of the thing, I assume that when seven saw the lady's face and her reaction he figured out the way to defeat her, so when six ate him she gained his knowledge and knew the way to defeat the lady....at least he wasn't just dead for no reason :'|

I almost feel sorry for all the villains in this story. They're all just tragic creatures looking to fulfill the themes that someone else has pushed on them. If you really look at what happens to to them and what made them the monsters they are, they aren't the real villains in the story. not only is six vengeful, she most likely saw mono's face and realized it was her captor's face. she recognized mono as the thin man and let him go, not only feeding her hunger for revenge, but also wanting to stop what happened to her from happening to others.
Yeah this seems to be the most popular theory lol. However, what makes me doubt that is 1) Mono’s face and the thin man’s face look absolutely nothing alike, and they don’t resemble each other in any way. 2) you have options in the game to wear hats that reveal Mono’s face, when Six is around. If what caused Six to drop Mono was seeing his face, I don’t think the developers would have put in options to reveal Mono’s face throughout the game since they want to keep it as consistent as possible. If the player put a hat on Mono, Six will have already seen his face before the Signal Tower part in the game. Yeah, Mono’s default/canon appearance is a bag over his head, but still like I said, since the options of wearing hats in the game exist, I think it rules out that theory since Tarsier would wanna be consistent. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@@Grace_Creation Six could have also recognized Thin Man from Mono when they held hands, since Thin Man himself grabs Six with his hands. The striking sense of familiarity must have hit her at that moment
GUYS I HAVE BIG THEORY: Alright so listen. At the end when Six let go of Mono nobody seemed to mention that Six saw the face of Mono for the first time. Yes and no she grabbed mono at the end to consume his power to go into the tv because she can consume the powers of others she planned to leave mono when he broke the music box because that’s the only thing she had left
Maybe the reason why six holds mono is because from the first game we know that six can absorb powers like she did with the lady and if you look at the exit of the signal tower looks like a static television screen that only mono and the thin man can go through the screens so she holds mono's hand at the end to absorb his powers to escape.

If it's the former, then there's a chance she immediately regretted it (that we just can't see without dialogue or facial expressions). 2) She blamed him for releasing the Thin Man, leading to her capture and mutation. These loops always confuse me. There was a start to the loop, a time where Six was taken for the first time. So who was the first Thin Man? If Mono becomes Thin Man because of the betrayal, how did it start?
Just like our universe, perhaps there was no beginning. Maybe the watchtower just "exists" throughout all time as a connected entity, and all the events of LN never happened. Or! What if Mono and Six both existed outside of the watchtower's range at one point, but as soon as they entered the range, every event in the game instantly started happening? And all we are doing each playthrough is seeing the timeline from the children POV.
I feel like the doctor, janitor, teacher, chefs, hunter are all children's nightmare. The fear of going to the doctor, being caught by the janitor, getting cooked by the chefs, getting caught by the teacher, and getting shot by a hunter.
This moment when the developers said it was a sequel: 🕳👩🦯💨 Edit: also its not the first time she wears the raincoat she wears it at the end of VLN so I assume that it makes sense LN2 is a sequel
@@Mewos-l8z actually you never see her wearing the rain coat at the end but you see her going down, it could mean she went to try check if the rain coat girl was alive or not and maybe this matches according the little nightmares 2 comics as she is running away from the hunter. My theory: After realizing rain coat girl is dead and she couldnt save her she tries to go as far away from nest as possible but then she is found by the hunter, as the comics show she sees mono on a tree and gets distracted and that's when the hunter finds her. Then it's the start of little nightmares 2.

@@somethingseismic7937 No I get the OP'S point don't be like that. I'm saying that they are intentionally being named variants of one and six and could potentially be part of a set. I'm not saying that means we'll be getting characters like 'Trio' or 'Hand'(Implication being 5 because 5 fingers), just that we're supposed to be paying attention to the fact that they are. The alternative, as Beaver's video would indicate, is that Six is six because she's the sixth lady, and Mono is One because he will always be stuck in his cycle of solitude and be the singular Thin Man.
I’m thinking “mono” is more referring to the word “monochromatic” which would make sense since the thin man’s appearance and his association with monochromatic tv.
Kind of curious about a question that's been nagging me for a while and I don't know if it's been asked/answered before... What if Little Nightmares 2 is literally a series of traumas that we (the audience) view our daily lives to be? The woods/huntsman could be a reference to the idea of kids having abusive parents, lack of parent-like figures, or just being lonely in general. The school could be a reference to an orphanage with how the puppet children view teachers as people who look over them with their "outstretched necks" and "strict rules". The hospital portrayed in the game could also be a reference to how children are viewing doctors "towering over them" as they proceed to work on the children such as a procedure. The Signal Tower/Watching Eye could represent society looking down upon the main protagonists as they struggle to create an impression to other or reach towards it in an effort to become acknowledged/accepted. The thin man could be what children view adulthood to be like when we grow up and that's exactly what we see in Mono as he grows up. This is just a theory, but it is a very interesting theory in my opinion.
I thought all of it is a childs worst nightmare. With the forest haunted by the hunter, the teacher, the doctors. Theyre common nightmares of a child. well for the adults, well yall know how abusive they are to children.
My theory is that Little Nightmares 2 is kind of a representation of the media, such as the TVs sucking and deforming people until they die and some innocent children becoming not-so-innocent and giving in to the darkness that it the internet lol.
Yes when Shifoo sends the bird to ensure Tai Lung is secure in prison but its the feather from the bird he actually uses to free himself. 10 year old me was fascinated by that 😂
You said it ALL! These are the exact same things I've been thinking about!!! Oh my goodness I love these games, but I'm so sad for Six and Mono, their relationship is such a beautiful tragedy, and in my mind I would just love to see them grow up safe together and love each other forever!
The runaway kid was pure of heart and he was so important in the story of the maw even if it was for him to be killed I wish they would’ve talked more about him in this
Another part that i found touching was when Six became a monster, she still sees Mono as a friend and doesn't attack him.. Only when Mono destroyed something that she cherished that she started attacking Mono..
there is in the loop we see after six drops mono, mono see why it happens and stays inside and the evidence is in very little nightmares which beaver forgot about
I think that the Eye monster is a Demon like the Snot Demon in Jing E Eat o story , It made a Brother and Sister do horrible and evil things to every one and every thing around it for it to eat and feed of there misery. Even getting the Big Brother to kill his own parents. I cant help but think the Eye Demon is the same in that way?
This UA-cam video is so well designed and helps to perfectly explain this very confusing and complex masterpiece of a story. Thank you for helping me understand the story so much better. What a franchise, if there was ever a game franchise that needed to be turned into a TV series, Little Nightmares is that one! A masterpiece tv series is literally in the waiting room.
i totally agree with you!!! i think to expound upon this a little further, i believe Mono is the embodiment of maturity and Six is the embodiment of childishness. this would explain why Mono has the reasoning and logic to see that Six is actually trapped by the music box, and he has the selflessness to save her over and over again throughout the game. meanwhile, Six is too innocent to have a greater sense of morality, empathy, and ability to let go of grudges, and this character flaw is what leads her to kill the porcelain boy, mutilate the prosthetic fingers, warm her hands by the incinerator, and of course, betray Mono.
I was convinced that Six was the lady, when i saw the picture where the lady, and 4 other shadows of her, making her the 5th lady. Meaning that Six, will be the 6th one. As the door where you find the thin man in, has the letter “6” in it. Representing the 6th cycle.
!Someone please weigh in on my theories! People have already mentioned that Six and Mono turn into their worst fears. Six's 'Monster form' is a reflection of all the trauma she has experienced at The Maw. But the Thin man looks very human, he is just tall. This is because Monos worst fear is very simple. Becoming an adult. Mono is afraid of becoming a sheep and a slave to the transmission like all the other citizens in the city. This explains why The Thin Man dresses the same as all the other citizens, he is a reflection of all the citizens. There is no individuality. This also explains why he is so tall. Children look up at adults and percieve them as taller than they actually are. It also explains why Mono likes to dress up in so many different hats. To protect his childhood playfulness and individuality. To never look or act like the other citizens. This makes me think that Six didn't actually betray Mono. She was trying to protect him from his worst fear, growing up. When she dropped him she believed it would kill him and end his loop. In the secret ending when we see Six glance at the poster for the Maw, she knows that she will never be free from her cycle of hunger, her loop will never end.
Breaking her music box wasn't a good move. It makes sense in the moment 'cause you're trying to free her from the monster she became so that you can escape together, but I knew Mono messed up the moment I saw her slow stand up and look at him. I remember thinking "well, hopefully he doesn't need her to grab him" after that. xD The development of their friendship throughout the story was touching. Even as a monster, she still regarded him as a friend until he broke what she cherished. I think it was quite cute.
and when I realize what really "little nightmares" mean, my heart feels clenched. that little nightmare is being betrayed by the person you thought your friend, leaving you behind to suffer, eternally.
This was so heartbreaking because mono thought he was helping her. Maybe the nightmare could also be doing irreversible damage when you think you’re rescuing one you care about only to realize they don’t want to be rescued and they hate you for it.
@@mayasayswhat2228 which isn’t true. Six betrayed mono because that wasn’t six anymore. Six’s soul was removed from her body when the thin man abducted her leaving behind shadow six, the real six. The soulless six dropped mono because for her it was survival of the fittest
i have an idea, so like how the maw is shaped like six's music box, her desire. what if the singnal tower is a signal tower because thats mono's desire, to communicate, interact, and reach out to others, like with signals like tv or wifi
Imagine if instead of the thin man going to the past(repeating the same cycle) he instead goes to the future. In the process, meeting an older version of six with the lady's powers. I'd pay good money to see if that ever comes to fruition.
Or, introducing a third child. As we've already seen, Six and Mono have powers, so it stands to reason that other children should have powers. Not all of them but some. So perhaps a child with time alteration powers could break the chain. They go backwards through the story, altering events, changing, and therefore breaking, the cycle. For example: stopping the thin man from taking Six
Tarsier Studios already confirmed that Six and the Lady aren't the same person though and aren't related. It's more suggested that Six was drawn to the Maw by her shadow self because the Maw is where Gluttony is rewarded, and by gaining the power of the Lady, she can draw in more victims to satisfy her hunger over and over again. Where Mono was the unwilling and literal entity that is the Tall Man, Six was the willing heir and replacement for the Lady. also brb still crying about the betrayal and utter hopelessness of it all. Haven't felt this level of despair at a backstabbing since Berserk lmao
Happy Valentines day :D
Nice theory. But why would the tall man go after 6 wouldn’t it be best if he went after mono because if he did do that six wouldn’t have to leave the place that actually meant something to her.
What if the roles were reversed and Mono is the one that goes to the maw and kills the Lady?
beaver theirs a gnome that lives in the hunters addict were the gnome hat is located how do u think the gnome got there and why it isnt in the maw with other gnomes to work on the furnace
Now that you say it saddens me even more! :'(

@@polaris9452 but why would he be trying to kill himself wouldn’t that basically just he destroying his own future?

For me I think it’s because she knew what would happen if he broke it, that if she couldn’t be the host then the tower would take him instead, although it’s clear monster six loved the music box but six that’s in her right mind didn’t care THAT much about it at least not enough to kill someone over it
So monster six did attack mono and defend the music box but I believe that deep down the real six had an influence, not to save the music box but to save mono, that’s why she’s so hollow after being saved (that and she lost her sole)
If you don’t believe me here’s why I believe so
1st if six was as cold hearted as people believed then she wouldn’t have stopped to catch mono if she was she wouldn’t spend a single second longer there, six also doesn’t come across as sadistic
2nd the way she drops him comes across like ripping a band-Aid off, hesitating and ripping her hand away and she stares off even after she dropped him (like saying goodbye)
3rd the tower aims specifically at mono, breaks the part of the bridge that mono was running on, waits for six to drop him and only allows the rest of the bridge to crumble until after six leaves almost like it made a deal with six, “either leave mono here or I’ll keep you both” safe to say the bridge would’ve crumbled immediately after six pulled up mono
4th final one which is just speculation but I believe six chose to leave so she could get the power from the lady and come back to save mono
Edit: but that’s just a theory, a game theory. I rather six not be totally evil which is another why I stand by theory
Bro please forgive me for the long ass reply 💀 did not realize I was yapping that much

@@Jash639 or perhaps stop the eye and save six and mono

@@crowmmm THIS
I actually think this theory is confirmed in the comics
I've heard someting about a little nightmares mobile game?
Maybe there's some lore there
@@ThrillingDuck Agreed. The Maw consistently brings in new guests for the Lady's consumption, this could easily feed Six's hunger as well.

Darkest self what does that mean?

@@1DAR26 the protagonist is the one who the story follows, not the one who saves the day or does the right thing. Its right And wrong. The reason is that the bad guys is evil to lives And Good at Trying to stop the cycle. The reason about six is that six is Good at beginning And take revenge at the ending like evil person at little nightmare 2 And six is evil at little nightmare 1
No, the bad guy would be that monster with all the eyes thing at the very end and the one who made the nightmares. Furthermore, six wasn't the one who made the world the way it is.

Regarding Monster Six:
I think a reason as to why you also run into 6 as a "monster six" is because maybe mono realized the reason Six dropped him was because he destroyed the only thing precious to six: the music box.
Everyone why did six betray Mono.

XD
U get a like
Get em again
Did six betray Mono is really hard to tell
But I am sure if we know why monster six didn't want to hurt mono when she had the music box then we might be able to answer this question.
The key to this is the music box,
six with the music box doesn't want to hurt mono even in her monster form, destroy the music box and she becomes vengeful and wants to kill mono
Man you should make a game. Your idea sounds best for a new game concept

Yellow Raincoat Kid from VLN: Is forced to jump off a cliff and dies
Mono: Gets betrayed by Six and becomes the Thin Man who is stuck to repeat a cycle
Runaway Kid (Seven): Becomes a Nome and gets eaten by Six
Six: Becomes a mass murderer and potentially becomes the Lady
It sucks being a protagonist in the universe of Little Nightmares.
Is six the teacher?
It was confirmed that the Runaway Kid was not the nome that Six ate.
@@samibiloff233 what are you talking about? it was shown that The Runaway Kid was turned into a nome and got eaten by Six in the dlc.

I almost feel sorry for all the villains in this story. They're all just tragic creatures looking to fulfill the themes that someone else has pushed on them. If you really look at what happens to to them and what made them the monsters they are, they aren't the real villains in the story. The children are, and as innocent as they may seem, there IS something more sinister at play. The adults to me are more victims than villains. Just look at the lore.

ye i feel like Six must have known that the thin man was Mono, she probably felt betrayed herself which led to the betrayal

1) She recognized his face as the same as the Thin Man's, putting two-and-two together, and dropping him out of shock or thinking it could stop whatever loop they're in. If it's the former, then there's a chance she immediately regretted it (that we just can't see without dialogue or facial expressions).
2) She blamed him for releasing the Thin Man, leading to her capture and mutation. As well as how he turned her back by destroying the thing that gave her comfort.

My theory: After realizing rain coat girl is dead and she couldnt save her she tries to go as far away from nest as possible but then she is found by the hunter, as the comics show she sees mono on a tree and gets distracted and that's when the hunter finds her. Then it's the start of little nightmares 2.

Yeah. Both Mono and Six are numbers. 2-5?
@@chaosrex1487 this may be an on the ropes woosh
@@somethingseismic7937 No I get the OP'S point don't be like that. I'm saying that they are intentionally being named variants of one and six and could potentially be part of a set. I'm not saying that means we'll be getting characters like 'Trio' or 'Hand'(Implication being 5 because 5 fingers), just that we're supposed to be paying attention to the fact that they are.
The alternative, as Beaver's video would indicate, is that Six is six because she's the sixth lady, and Mono is One because he will always be stuck in his cycle of solitude and be the singular Thin Man.
Wait, if mono means one and we meet six then is there going to be 4 more games. The games follows six and show how she is the true monster
I thought so as well
I thought all of it is a childs worst nightmare. With the forest haunted by the hunter, the teacher, the doctors. Theyre common nightmares of a child. well for the adults, well yall know how abusive they are to children.
very interesting :^)
My theory is that Little Nightmares 2 is kind of a representation of the media, such as the TVs sucking and deforming people until they die and some innocent children becoming not-so-innocent and giving in to the darkness that it the internet lol.

Notice how in the painting there are five ladies, could it be that Six is called Six because she is the sixth lady?
Oooooo that’s a good one
Yea but the previous lady's before her was called six to but they were not the sixth
Oooooh
i know! i was thinking the same thing!
then maybe there are meant to be only six ladies.. that's why we play this cycle the last two cycles before something brakes it
I was convinced that Six was the lady, when i saw the picture where the lady, and 4 other shadows of her, making her the 5th lady.
In the secret ending when we see Six glance at the poster for the Maw, she knows that she will never be free from her cycle of hunger, her loop will never end.
hmmm true but it failed know for little night mares 3 i think we can brake the loop how throug another univerese mono and six
Theories are amazing! Your theory is worth reading.
@@davidnoel1665 agreed
About the six part, no cause this game takes place before, it's a prequel.
Soooooo trueeee !!
This was so heartbreaking because mono thought he was helping her. Maybe the nightmare could also be doing irreversible damage when you think you’re rescuing one you care about only to realize they don’t want to be rescued and they hate you for it.
I saw someone say that six let mono go because she would get hungry and eat him
@@mayasayswhat2228 its a theory the only way we could get real answers is a dlc or LN3
Imagine they make little nightmares 3 where they start the time loop again but you can choose choices to finally stop the loop.
YOOOOOOOOO
YYYEEEEESSSSSSSS
Imagine if instead of the thin man going to the past(repeating the same cycle) he instead goes to the future. In the process, meeting an older version of six with the lady's powers. I'd pay good money to see if that ever comes to fruition.
Or, introducing a third child. As we've already seen, Six and Mono have powers, so it stands to reason that other children should have powers. Not all of them but some. So perhaps a child with time alteration powers could break the chain. They go backwards through the story, altering events, changing, and therefore breaking, the cycle. For example: stopping the thin man from taking Six
@@yaxlndxiii1290 yesss being that this loop has happened many times i don't think they can break this themselves. I like the idea of a 3rd child
Haven't felt this level of despair at a backstabbing since Berserk lmao
ohh ok that makes more sense
What if six is the lady's daughter?
@@tresorchrist2364 Tarsier Studios said they weren't related, but I guess Six is still her heir whether she likes it or not haha
So then even though she isn’t related she’s the ladies heir? So doesn’t that make the lady six because of the cycle?
Being related has nothing to do with being an heir, therefore there is nothing to say Six is not one of them.
But everything else is true.
Imagine them making a part three and its about breaking the cycle
