    Engine bay looks great.
    Now you just need to do a battery relocate and build and air box in it's place, to convert that pod filter from a hot air intake to a cold air intake.

    Your a true professional Tom, I like your style. A 500whp, kid hauling, grocery go getter. Also I feel ya on our harness issues. Been fixing all the same issues on my 1g DSM. Which just happens to be a panda 91 talon Tsi!

    Whoa, the engine bay looks so spiffy with the engine in place. All that hard work cleaning and detailing has paid off, now..if there was some magical way to keep it that clean moving forward. :))

      yeah they did but if remember right that was only in other countries and we got the g54b i think thats the engine 2.6l sohc headgasket blowing sob

      That would be awesome to see. I wouldn't mind seeing a 4g63t swap in a Mighty Max pickup too. There was one in progress on 4g61t.org back when Tom was a member, but that was years ago.

      Waaaaaaay back in the day Tom started with a Starion. Can't remember the power plant but I recall it being a drag car backed by a power glide.

    You need to hire a helper........this man torques everything down, im shocked the battery tie down didn't get torqued lol.

    I'm so happy your making 4g63 videos again. I check back every couple months, and kinda bailed when I saw you sold your 1g. Even tho that miata is ridiculous haha..
    It's crazy you do all this work and filming and narrorating and editing by yourself.

      Neither have I, which as it appears to be a two point system is good news.
      Not sure that would have made it to the UK as2 points is not considered safe

      There's a separate lap belt in these cars as well. IIRC manufacturers had the option to use automatic shoulder belts or airbags for a short time period

      Brings back memories. Automatic shoulder belt; manual lap belt. Everyone who sat in the passenger seat for the first time would get in some weird struggle with the shoulder belt, instead of just sitting still and allowing it to be draped over them.

    I can handle 100 degree heat in the West, but high heat with high HUMIDITY..... Oh hell no! Even in the winter high humidity is unbearable.
    Yeah..... I'm from a dry climate. And I love it. Cars barely rust and its easy to cool down.

    That first start sounded very familiar! Unless it was only on some DSM's in that year range I would say you're missing the power steering pump heat shield.

    Are those the wheels that were on your 4g63t Mirage? I miss those days. I had a 92 Colt that I swapped the old tired 4g15 and 4 speed out for a built 4g63t with a Frankenstein 19c on it. I have a built boosted Civic now that makes 508 whp.

    Great job as usual. One question....car people know heat will kill an engine and reduce performance (hotter intake air as an example) so why does it seem no one upgrades their radiator, oil cooler, and transmission cooler? Especially with turbo and AWD setups.

    glad to see it up and running Tom! Just a little feedback, I would have loved to see the electrical repairs you did to that harness by the coolant housing. Did you insulate the repairs with something to prevent future wire damages from heat?

    You slacking a little, you spent the money on making the gearbox look beautifull but you didnt clean the clutch slave bolts. I'll be awaiting a valid reason 🤣

    consider changing the grille to one from an 89 or 90 galant. maybe even the taillights as well. much better looking from those model years

    Just wanted to ad a word of caution, I had one of those fuel filters installed inline on my turbo civic. Worked great for a while till it got cold out, the sludge in the filter froze during a cold snap and completely clogged my breather line, causing my crank case pressure to push tons of oil out of my turbo and into the exhaust.

      For anyone interested I was using an a6 block z6 head with a td05 14b mated to an adapter plate that allowed me to use the factory hf/std cast manifold. Made pretty good power, 220/183

    I had the same problem with my talon's harness ended up finding the connectors and replacing them and wiring.

      Dermot O Rourke I've been working on my project car forever out in the elements. But finally buying my first house with a garage.. ready for this game changer. Because after a certain time I couldn't work on it cause had no light. Now I can walk out at midnight and start working on it lol.
