When we opened the box and saw all the card bundles, none of the players in my group had any idea why so many decks existed, and why there were nearly a dozen decks that had some of the same cards in each one. And then we watched your video and realized that the cards came in decks that have NOT been organized for play at ALL! They're put in together at random, quite apparently without pattern or reason. It would have been a SIMPLE change to put the cards together in their correct decks and ship the game that way, ready to play, like the way I've put the decks together in our game box now. Why they didn't do this is beyond reason, and a huge oversight that could have made this game so easy to understand... ... Luckily you came along and made a video that does that. Easy to follow set-up instructions. A rules explanation that, after watching, enabled every new player at our table to play and only look at the rules book TWICE for the entire session! Thank you so much!
+Sethdevan Thanks for watching. Yes the initial setup was a bear. They could have organized the decks better or at least made the print for each deck bigger. Unfortunately I hear they didn't learn their lesson and the Predator game is just like this one when shipped. Have fun.
I've read the Legendary Aliens rulebook 3 times and have learned something new with each reading. This video is most helpful in making sense of this game as it really filled in the gaps for me by providing more understanding. Thank you for helping me out! :D
+TheFewzz Yeah, the initial sort was a big pain. You would think a company that produces Baseball cards could sort decks. If you have any other questions just ask. Thanks for watching.
@@hatchimmmmm If I remember correctly, the hive deck is stacked so that there are cards relevant to the objectives separately shuffled then stacked on top of each other so eventually you will either scan the cards reveling the objectives or they will go into the combat zone, I think it was called, and then they will automatically be reviled. So technically you are correct, but more than not you will complete the game before the deck runs out.

Thanks for the kind words and have fun.
I finally got this game today and you saved game night. Thank you so much for doing this.
Great video! I just picked this up today and was quite overwhelmed by all the cards and their purposes. You made this much easier to understand.
Been looking for a decent setup, thanks for your time and effort
Thanks Barry, I appreciate your efforts. Your video was truly helpful.
This video setup is suuuuch a great help! 😎👍🏻
Very useful, thanks man!
El Cylon en la Sombra Thanks for watching and leaving a comment.
Hi May I ask if the strike cards stay with you throughout the game until it is healed?
What about two or solo players? What avatar is recommended for that?
Solo: Gunner. 2p: Gunner and technician.
thank you for your video
What about player card setup, you went through all this and left that out, still a little lost as to what to do now.
+TheFewzz What do you mean by player card setup?
Ignore me, more i watched more i understood, man this game is awkward for a new player to set up, took me all night just to sort the cards lol

wow just opened my box and dont have the proper amount of cards and an extra commander
That suck but I'm sure if you contact the publisher they will get you squared away. Thanks for watching.
I though that when the hive cards are over the game ended
I do not understand. Please explain or leave a time stamp so I know what your referring to.
@@BARRYREYNOLDSagatewaygamer 22:50 the hive deck is composed with the 3 objectives, so at the end of the hive deck the game shouldn't end?

it is hard to understand some words you say. it would help if you enunciate a bit more. Thanks for the video
