My homeboy used to love Omega Red's different coil grab slams on XM:COTA. You can slam them left & right, then throw them up in the air, then super jump to air grab and air walk with them til they hit the ground. Only experts could pull that off marvelously.

Super armor can be a royal pain in the butt...I have to admit Sentinel is the one character I thought was trash. It took me watching past MVC2 tourneys featuring Justin and other well known players to find out how grossly I underestimated it. Now it's probably the most commonly used god tier in the game...fly like Storm and hit hard like Juggernaut with better defenses than him.
4:30 Always happy to see a Sentinel get low diffed, get that bot outta here. Omega Red was so damn fun to play, people would sleep on how quick Energy Drain will wreck you before its too late. He can rush down or zone/stall you out, so youre not forced to play a certain way, a mean cross-up game, and his meter building is pretty decent too. It sucks the delay on Carbanadium Smash is slightly too long where you can tell it was done on purpose, similar to Chun-Lis super. Obviously Dr. Doom is one of the best and overused assists possibly in the entire series but his synergy with Omega Red is absolutely nasty. Crossing people up with the Omega Destroyer/Doomrox after some Energy Drain airs throws is hilarious, even if they block the chip is real out here. Magneto/Storm/Sentinel players have a natural habit of air dashing/fly-unlfly after being thrown which is exploitable. Jill is still and always my #1 favorite but Omega is in my top 5 easily. You love to see it....

As a long time student of Marvel, I see one primary (and several ancillary) differences between the second and third iterations. A severe and noticeable gap in neutral. To me, Marvel is about scrambles, choices and its penultimate DPS (decisions per second) among fighters. Say what you want about X-Factor, but that mechanic significantly broadened the meta and all three qualities. But I digress. I'm sure you're up on 3 playtested UMVC3 variants - Palette Swap (new chars hidden in alt costumes), PMVC3 (Tyson's don't call it a mod "ruleset manager") and EX which buffs all the woefully inept chars from vanilla (UMVC3). Clear like the mud, yes? Assuming I'm right so far, it stands to reason that Marvel 3 with aforementioned mods + more neutral = some kind of sequel we never got. The former's been done and lotsa folks are playing / streaming the above. I dunno the best way to force neutral that doesn't feel artificial. One may be real block stun that varies per character, so with each hit in a combo the chances of dropping creep. My fav tho is just implement Infinite's Counter Switch. It elegantly solves our problem with a feature that was excellent in its own right. if you've read this far, means you'll flex jwong muscles and champion this shit. Otherwise I just look deranged on the internet. Popped that cherry LONG time ago. Pz
I play Omega on my lt teams a lot. His qcf k is fast, strong, seems to have good prio, and being able to pull it back by tapping the opposite direction is so fun and useful too. Makes a great battery.
Didn't see it so I'll just put it out there, I use Omega red and cyclops but usually with a pixie like wolverine. It's easy to miss the gene splice air combo with Omega but you don't have to jump! You can do crouching lk mk standing FP (assist gene splice) and coil with FP (upwards) always grabs the opponent unless you're in a corner which you have to jump in that case. I've honestly never seen anyone else do that combo aside from myself but it's very effective with 1/3-1/2 HP life loss.
I see a lotta combo spamming by you. the guy sits there and blocks must but once hes open you light em up. isnt there a way he can counter your offense like in alpha or 3rd strike?
