- Hello and welcome to a new episode,
This week's episode we venture backwards to a location i did a while back, This place is filled with iconic Peugeot 505s, The ones used in the Famous Dakar Desert Rally. Now i know there not exactly used in the rally but they still have the potential to be built into rally replicas, I would love to be able to build a rally rep, This is the sad part about being poor, We have fantastic ideas, but no back up to follow the dreams, Being 42 with 8 children is hard on its own, But having little to no money is even harder, All i want to do is build cars, Thats been a lifelong passion, And seeing everyone else do it, and not being able to keep up is heartbreaking, So all i can do is sit back and watch as other people fulfill their dreams, I do hope one day i can bring you the content i desire, But for now we will have to make do with what i find out in this big old world, Thanks for watching....

That's the stokze we know walking in fields and getting stuck in hedges them pug 505 are rare now and all pugs wat have been dumped never rust and been there for years mad how a estate is a GTi but never understand why people leave cars like it just shocks me them Opel mantras are really rare they would sell quickly that place would take some clearing up would be plenty of fire wood good to see it again thanks mate

Really wish you could talk to the owner and let him tell his love story for the 505's and ask if he want to sell or let you go and work to get them seen again and just washed! Would be my dream to do that!

I remember the last time I saw a 505 was back in 1987.. It was new on a D plate, a metalic Brown 2.8 V6 170bhp with all-around electric windows, electric sunroof, and heated front seats. I haven't seen one since. Nevertheless, I find your videos very interesting, to say the least.. It's like a walk back in time with all the cars we all once knew about, but through time.. forgot all about?? Keep those videos coming Stu 👍🏻

Peugeot 505,s are unbelievably rare and I've just seen a telegraph newspaper article from 2019 about rare cars and it shows a 505 gti and it states there was only 2 left on the road so extremely rare and they are just sitting there lovely to see them but as a car lover it breaks my heart seeing lovely cars rotting away AMAZING VIDEO STU 👍

Although it’s sad to see (or nearly see) all those vehicles, when you peeled back some of the undergrowth covering that Peugeot - it was strangely comforting to see that it had in fact been protecting the car from the elements. Good old Mother Nature taking care 🤗 Would love to see what the others look like uncovered.

Back to days of old ,gold finds in bushes and long forgotten vehicles left to nature
Got to mention that little Red Fiat Panda MOT ran out 2008 Mileage 157,000 miles !! A stonking mileage for Panda .
That 505 estate reg ending in WWW has 206,000 miles on it so those cars were well used before being parked up .
Having been worked that hard they deserve to be resting in the bushes. It is a shame but that how went back then.

Stokze, I have two 505s. An SRD turbo, just back on the road (the only one on the road in the uk) and a GTD recently purchased awaiting light recommissioning. Needs a windscreen, an offside front wing and ideally a sunroof. Id love to contact the owner of these. Can you contact me privately regarding possibly providing details of their whereabouts. Hi Stokze, I was thinking when you were going through the first lot of cars and how long they might have been there and of course why, well it looks like about 10 to 15 years. This makes think about the scrappage scheme which was out in 2008/9 where you can get money off a new car to scrap an older car like an A or B reg Peugeot, 505 that would have only get a grand for PX but you could have got 2.5 or much more with an extra incentive from the manufacturer, so many people took this offer that there would have been hundreds if not thousands of cars, remember the cars could Not be put back on the road even though they looked okay, so there must be hundreds of cars in fields just like this as they didn’t know what to do with them all.
Peugeot's of that era were actually treated with zinc galvy and actually had pretty good steel tbf. that's why you find alot of them hold up pretty well in terms of rust. If you check inner wings though on most they'll be rotten.

Them 505’s are easy restorations , they were the last of the proper made cars, solid steel panels, very strange I used to think that they still made these in the early 90’s , they looked old in there day compared to say a mk4 Escort

Hoarders are a mixed blessing. They store these cars in a field allowing us to see them long after they would have been scrapped. But they are being left for nature and rust to slowly reclaim them. I suppose the owners would rather see that than have them crushed. Yet don't want to sell what's left as they can't part with them. People are strange 🤔
You should come see Trinidad we have some awesome cars abandoned theres an S14 that was in a garage a Datsun 280C and many more cars
The one with the plate had it's last V5 LOG Book in 2012.. the car is from 1988.
So 2012 is probs when it was "laid to rest" in the bushes.
Most of the tractors you find stu are Nuffield 420, fordson major and Massey 135

I'm a big fan of the 305 and 505 would love to rescue one of those 505s and return it to the road be an awesome to put one with my 87 R9.
I had a 305 diesel in battleship blue, not a pretty car but drove lovely, built solidly

No details no the 505 but the last V5C was on13 September 2012 but the estate 505 GTI mot expired 17 March 2009 with 149.901 miles on the clock
