I went to Wreck's website and was happy to see that this particular model also comes with an ebony fretboard, darker colored pickups and with the exposed pyramids inside seemingly also darker.
As for myself, aesthetically speaking, I think these darker features are more appealing. The one you demo'd with the light maple neck, white humbuckers and the light covered pyramids inside the f-hole cavity seem to clash with the overall beauty of the guitar.
But other than that an excellent review of a top-tier investment instrument and as always as is par for the course, your guitar acumen is exquisite!
This put tears in my eyes. Sounds as stunning it looks. Although everytime you play I stop and listen.

Nice sounding guitar and certainly premium work and attention to detail. For me, they should have gone roasted flame maple neck, brushed nickel hardware and black pick up covers. Black hardware and white pickups looks like partscaster.

Palm mute. Play frets 0-3-5-7-10-12 on the lowest 3 strings at the same time all with one finger. Sprinkle in fret 2 for a minor sound or 1 for Phrygian, 6 for blues. There you go

If it had routed tone and volume controls like a prs core and rolled fretboard it would send it over the edge imo.
Agree about white pick up covers - the gun metal grey of bridge or black much classier. White looks shabby & jars.
What a sweet sound. The splits were very twangy and such a contrast with the fullness of the humbuckers. For the money, I'd rather own this than any Gibson or Fender. What a Wreck!

Yea, I was actually very surprised at the tonal diversity! I skipped past the chuggin` part thinking, this is 4sure a (expensive!!!) "One trick pony! Really Daniel, all that time detail and beauty... and standard tuners... I'm going to upgrade a guitar I had to take out a second morgage for??
It must be hard to send virtually any of the reviewed guitars back.. this one in particular..
A duel.... the gloriousness of this guitar, pitted against the gloriousness of Darrell's playing it!!! I'm not sure which is more GLORIOUS!!! But then, there is only one I can buy, so the guitar wins, but only because I can't buy talent!

Beautiful guitar, no doubt about that. The pyramids inside seem a cool custom thing, but kind of gimmicky at the same time. They're a really creative way to incorporate the logo/theme into the guitar, though.
No tone knob? I guess it is internally hard wired at some preselected value. Not sure about that.

What a stunningly beautiful guitar. Can you even call that an f-hole anymore? That's obviously a flame. 🙂 And for the prize I have to say that it is very reasonable for a guitar built so well. I expected it to be higher. Still out of my range, but even so.

I've seen the pyramid design in sound-damping materials in some studios. Will muffling be baffling? Or is it baffling becomes muffling? Regardless... in the Round Top, Texas Festival Institute, we see their theater packed with pyramidal walls and ceiling. It's very interesting. What does this guitar sound like acoustically? Compare it to other 'thin' hollow or semi-hollows, could you? At least this is a guitar that you and your chainsaw probably won't test the argument of Pickups vs. Body.

Black hardware with bright white pickups looks weird. Cream colored ones would blend in better.
Beautiful guitar, but it has a thin sound to it. I have heard some of the less expensive guitars you have presented that have a richer clean tone.
That builder takes some serious pains to do ALL of the little things right. Gorgeous instrument and it sounds excellent.
Gorgeous, and obviously custom/hand-made or assembled, so the price is not out of line with other instruments put together/designed in similar fashion. It is, however, totally out of line with my budget. Nice to look at, though.

Would look better with black pickups
It's beautiful, but once dust and stuff gets in there, I'd be afraid of it looking kind of shabby. Not the easiest thing to keep clean. (Most of my guitars are basic black so that any dings can be filled and color-matched without them being particularly noticeable. Fancy finishes are not for me.)

Looks and sounds great!! The only thing is that to my eyes those white pickups are way out of place there. Nothing to do with that guitars. Cream pickups would look great, or zebra or black but white… don’t look well to me. Otherwise the guitar looks great!!!
