I noticed that Lillard rookie you sold in mid-March and I was like "hey, I bought that card in mid-March" so I checked and I bought it from you! You're the one who has taught me the most about COMC through these videos, so thanks for the knowledge and the card!
My pleasure Andy. I think Dame will have another moment in the sun. He’s in space jam 2, could play in the olympics, and who knows, maybe the Blazers will make a run.
Comc is a nightmare right now. Multi-month delays in submitting and shipping orders. IF you only flip on the site, you’re probably ok. But don’t ever try to submit or request cards from them anymore.
Hey Jeff. Yeah they're super backed up. I'm sure PSA's suspension will push more cards COMC's way. They are expanding but I'd expect delays for another 8 months. Have a great Sunday!
hey Da C. Not sure if I understand. I'm doing the math from the sale price, not the total price which includes tax and shipping. Either way, I'm hoping to sell more in person. Way more fun and profitable
@@TheComebackCardInvestor I think the future looks bright with in person sells. With new tax laws taking effect next year I hope to start seeing card collecting groups start forming in areas. That would allow a safer environment for selling and trading with one another locally than meeting someone off internet that we know nothing about.
What I like is that I sell a lot of these cards on eBay through COMC. About 20-25% of those flips were eBay buyers going through COMC's eBay store. Have a great Sunday!
Are you concerned with the new processing times for sending cards to COMC? Going from 3 to 12 weeks standard seems rough. fortunately I got a couple shipments in already to start off my account but am now worried about my future submissions I was working on.
Hi Sara. Not so much because I’ve been used to delays for the last year so I try to factor that in with all my purchases/sales/etc. delays are just the name of the game in the sports card market nowadays
Nice vid! Thanks for the content. Quick question for you. When selling cards besides Comc; do you use more auctions or fix price in EBay (or other)? I want to sell some of my cards to move up into more high end cards :) and doubting on the most efficient way. Thanks!
@@TheComebackCardInvestor yeah cool. Thanks man. Love the content, it connects more with the everyday investor so good work. I just see you have like Kobe’s, Reggie Miller, shaq and then like a Jeremy Lin haha. So, I wonder your strategy of finding them. Would be great to see how you go about deciding to go at those cards 👍 look forward to the vid
As a fellow COMC flipper I'm always curious to see others selling strategies. I see a lot of sellers on COMC that have cards set at a price at like 5 to 10 times the lowest price and seem to leave it there until it sells. I saw that you had a few cards that were for sale for a year but also had some that flipped in days. So I was wondering when you are selling a card do you set your price and just leave at that price until it sells or do you set a higher price and then drop your price down when the lowest price in line reaches your desired profit? Because I'm not playing with a lot of "house money" right now now I need to be in and out quicker than most probably so I'm trying to find that sweet spot were I can make enough return but I'm not buried behind 75 cards in line.
hey Raven Invest. Every card is different. If I have multiple, I'll sell one for a small profit, then guage the next one. If it's 1 desirable card, I'll wait it out, but the answer is based on a ton of factors...including if I feel like there are 100 of them headed to COMC and will be listed in a month's time
I find it so much easier to sell a PSA 6 or PSA 7 slabbed PSA card vs a raw where you disclose the issue with the card. And if you don't disclose the issue, expect a return.
@@TheComebackCardInvestor haha. Sorry. If I sent a picture of a raw card would you tell me what you think it would grade? That way I could estimate the cards value. With your experience I would like to see how close I am to what you think it would be.
Great video! Thanks! So it's possible to buy cards at COMC, then hold into it and sell again? Do they store the cards for you when you buy them on the page, or do they ship them right away? Thanks and have a great day.
hey Samir. Yep. They're a warehouse in Washington that houses and lists the cards. You can request shipment when you would like to or just relist and flip
@@TheComebackCardInvestor I feel ya but they are gonna be a little higher in price. 2021 is gonna be Monster year for the Angels, possible World Series!
Thanks for another great video man. What would you a say is the % you need to make to flip a card? If you’re buying and instantly flipping that takes a lot of constant effort and after a 10-15% online selling fee you’re weighing your profit at whatever % that may equate too... to the risk of that player or card tanking. Hell your doing it smart and I’m just lazy. I’m just wondering what % you’d say ultimately worth it to you if you break it down. I got my 4 wisdom teeth out today so I may not catch you live tonight but I’ll check it out as soon as I can tonight or tomrrow. Have a good one man and hopefully the cakes been goin good lately 🥶
hey TJ. Thanks man. Hope you're healing well. The cheaper the card, the higher the %, but I think 50% is the min I would want. At the same time, I'll take less profit if I have full confidence it will sell...like the Josh Allen rc
Man I got that off the meter Kobe/Vince card and I think it’s a 9 or 10. Nice little surprise to learn this afternoon! If a 6.5 goes for $265.00, how much does a 9 or 10 sell for?
Love the video! And all of your videos. I know you’ve helped me through this journey that is this hobby. I’m interested in creating content as well. Maybe one day I will get into it. Peace ✌🏻

once you purchase on COMC, are you just re-listing for triple the price?
hey Danny. Every time I price, it's different based on the card, the player, the amount of other sellers. It's way more of an art than a science
That 12% ebay fee actually is around 19% after they charge you the 12% from final price that includes sales tax and shipping.

Surprising to make a profit on such a beat up card, but that's the current state of the hobby :)
