Good to see you itching to get back at it. Hope your recovery continues. I live in Doncaster at have seen your videos on the Don and Dearne. Im after some Barbel and Chub. Any tips on locations for me please? I usually fish commercials but want to get some river sessions but not sure on good stretches of Don and Dearne
Hi and thanks. Behind Doncaster prison is a good stretch of Don-had some good sessions there as for the Dearne not sure if its as good as when i used to fish it but i mostly fished Broomhill and Darfield stretches. Broomhill is mostly overgrown where i fished but Darfield on the first bend below Houghton weir was good for me. Been about five years since i fished Don and six years since i fished Dearne for barbel so not sure what its like now. With the drought my tip is wait for a good downpour it will freshen rivers up and fetch barbel on the feed.
