Just listening blind, I'd say I'd found a previously unknown SRV vid. Very nice!!

Jesse is an amazing player! He is one of a few guys that can do the Stevie thing with justice.

jesse knows his gear lads, but he has this tone in his hands, mind and spirit. Most of the chumps of the world who think they are holding up candles to SRV and albert king, and collins, etc, think it's all about the gear. It's not, plug Jesse into a super revrb and he will still sound like this, because the heart and soul of this type of playing doesn't come from a tube, or a cap, or a resistor, or stomp box, and I am thankful it never will. That's why so many of the 'leading' guitarists today don't sound like this……
case in point : the SRV and double trouble hall of fame induction performance, not even an original and rare dumble will save a player as great as JM, next to jimmie vaughan going STRAIGHT into to 2 grammatico tweed bassman clones. And it looked as though Doyle had a cpl vibroverbs (fitting) with not near as many stomps as usual. Doyles fingers have more tone in them than just about any guy alive right now. Maybe 2nd only to Jimmie,,,,,all you need to do is spend 45 mins surfing youtube for Jimmie's live work in the past 10 years. It's scary,,,,,,,absurdly frightening that everybody misses the fact that the best parts of stevies playing were rooted in what big brother did and still does, the ingredients for the foundation of the recipe are right there,,, and i reckon Jesse Davey is truly one of the few of my generation who heard it before i did. and did something about it :) props to Jesse

He's good but I'm hoping he does other things besides playing and sounding like SRV.

s.r.v called he wants his licks back .yes it sounds great anyone who is plugged into a super reverb and has Albert king and s.r.v licks memorized would sound great also . just sounds like a good cover band to me nothing origional here . sounds great but slow licks he did with the whole and 1/4 bends that's Albert king the rest of the licks are s.r.v licks

Come on man, the guy is a clone… yeah the sound is in your hands duh… there’s nothing authentic in his playing it’s like, “what would SRV play here, every song lick is on an SRV album without the taste. An actor, this isn’t coming from the soul sorry

I so want to hate this, but damn dude, you got it. I guess it’s hard as a player when everyone tries to measure you up against another famous bloke. Excellent feel dude.

I can't put my finger on who this guy sounds like. But I would guess he vaguely sounds a little like a guitar player formerly known as Mr Stevie Ray Vaughan. But that is just my guess /opinion!

I've never seen this before just now, but I have to say that for a Strat player, he's as good at making pedals as he is at playing guitar.

@Strummingkid I wanted to, but it was over 10 minutes long......10 minutes is the limit (at least for my account)

This guy has a company where since 1999 he makes guitar effects pedals aimed at blues guitarists. He learnt electronics from his father as a kid. He thought of by other effects pedal makers as one of the best in the biz. Yes he still plays. He is about 10 times better now. I am 77 and a pro player all this time. When I say 10 times better I mean 10 times better. I know my sh@t!!!
