I feel like Hyper Sonic in Archie would be a complete Ultra form. Ultra would be a taste of the power limited only by Sonic himself, but Hyper would be Super with Ultra’s infinite power and potential

I think hyper sonic has the hax. Ultra sonic has feats while hyper is "super but stronger" While ultra can be analyzed the only thing you can do about hyper is put him a tier higher than super.

You kind of point this out, but seven times infinity is still infinity. Super Sonic has basically infinite power. Then what's the point of the others? The best way to put it is control. Before Ultra Sonic was introduced, Hyper Sonic was basically the 'complete' form of super sonic. There's no powerscaling here, because these forms aren't dragon ball forms. They're narrative climaxes made manifest and enforce their thoughts and wishes through unlimited magical power. The only difference is their scope. Super Sonic is essentially the incomplete version of Ultra Sonic... Super Sonic is physically invincible, but he is vulnerable to chaos manipulation. Knuckles has a connection to the Master Emerald, which can manipulate the source of Super Sonic, and Eggman has been manipulating chaos energy for a long time now, hence pulling the emeralds out of Sonic in Unleashed. Hyper, conceptually, is essentially this, but without those vulnerabilities, and a far broader scope of chaos control. Where does that leave Ultra Sonic? Well, if I had to take a shot in the dark, Ultra Sonic is basically just a single step up from Super Sonic. A super emerald contains the same amount of power as seven chaos emeralds, so the form is essentially the same, but the upgrade grants Ultra Sonic further power over the world around him. His ability to manipulate his environment is escalated to unparalelled lengths, essentially becoming a god, with a vaguely limited scope. Conceptually, Hyper Sonic is an actual god. Not like a Dragon Ball god, an actual, capital G God that can enforce his wishes on the world freely. A conceptual archie hyper sonic would be that.
@@samuraixronin4630 Most developed fictional multiverses and real world religions and mythologies disagree with you. Capital G gods exist in lots of places. That's why Dragon Ball has this issue where they're either guaranteed to win or guaranteed to lose with no real middle because the gods in that series are lowercase g gods. Unless you can actually write and know that crossovers require balancing for the characters to meaningfully interact.
infinity is not always the same infinity, there are levels best way to explain is this: imagine a 1d line that line can be as long as you want. it can be infinite. but even if it's infinitely long, it will never be 2d. that infinite 1d line is still nothing compared to anything in 2d. now you can also take that 2d plane and make it infinite. literally infinite. but it will never be 3d. anything 3d is still greater infinity in 2d. that's why even if the chaos emeralds have infinite power, the super emeralds can be a tier above them and just one super emerald is greater than the infinite power of the 7 chaos emeralds
Just wanted to add that in the Archie Comics "Hyper" forms of Knuckles and Tails are basically just Super Forms and they scale to Super Sonic. Like the one time Super Sonic fought Hyper Knuckles and they were a match.
Now THIS was something else. I've never dug that deep into the Sonic lore before, so it was a real eye-opener. This was perhaps the most detailed look I ever had at the Archie comics so far, and likewise with the concept of Hyper Sonic. Initially, I was of the belief that Ultra Sonic was stronger for this reason, due to my lack of understanding. He was from the Archie comics where Sonic is generally considered to be stronger than in the games, the name just sounds stronger, and he's not flashing any colors, but rather has an infinity symbol of rings surrounding his chest. Not to mention in the sprite battle between Sonic and The Flash, Ultra Sonic was what brought Sonic out on top, and long story short he made quick work of the scarlet speedster. But after hearing how Sonic requires one super emerald or 1 billion rings to go Ultra, while remembering that he needs all seven to go Hyper (I did know that part), plus all the other stuff you added, now it all makes perfect sense, and I believe you couldn't have put it any better on why we have never seen Hyper Sonic ever again, and probably never should. My latest theory was that if you combined Super Sonic, Hyper Sonic and Ultra Sonic, then Sonic could achieve a form called Perfect Sonic: the final, ultimate demonstration of his true power. Now it is clear to me that that probably isn't necessary, because Hyper Sonic already is that form. :D
This was a treat, cause I was just thinking about this idea recently in one of my more out there story ideas. I thought of my own Sonic Universe that uses elements from as much Sonic content, but ultimately its more connected to the games. (Think Post Genesis Archie Sonic) Eventually he goes through a Spider-Verse crossover. A Sonic-Verse if you will. With Original Archie Sonic being one of them, and stated being stronger, and even mentioned that he is the strongest because of him grabbing the One Billionth Ring, and each universes rules are different depending on how much rings are in the universe. Which explains how 'chaotic' the rules are. It'll take awhile to explain it all, but basically, everyone teams up against Eggman, then a revelation turns everyone's back on each other and there is an all out war between everyone with many mirror matches. The main event being the Sonic's with the showdown Hyper Sonic vs Ultra Sonic. I thought about how it would go, and I guess I came to a similar conclusion like this video. Ultra Sonic is powerful, but it is merely an extension to Super Sonic, while Hyper is an ascension. Archie Sonic's base is still more powerful, and thus Ultra still is a match against Hyper. There is more to this, but I'll save that for the Discord Chat. (Unless someone is dying to know more here) But yeah, glad someone made a video on a bonkers idea like this.

Well ultra sonic is as powerful as a super emerald which could mean that one super emerald in the comics is stronger than seven super emeralds in the games so if Archie were to get all seven unless there’s one in his universe, he would destroy and alternate universe and *POSSIBILY* another dimennsion with a multiverse.

Sega banned hyper sonic from the continuity because he was so op and unfathomably powerful, from using all 7 super emeralds. It's a reason why hyper sonic has never made an appearance ever again because hyper sonic would have no challenge anymore if sonic had continued use with the form. He would destroy everything he come across. No one would be able to stop him because he is too op and broken you can't comprehend it. Hyper Sonic is more powerful than Ultra sonic. Ultra Sonic is imperfect only using one super emerald and hyper sonic is the complete and mastered form of ultra sonic using seven super emeralds. We don't really know what hyper can really do. We just know its a way more powerful form than super sonic and if you add all of super sonic feats and bring hyper sonic back into the continuity he would've easily bodied and no diff and even one shot a godlike being like Solaris and etc. Hyper Sonic would be too op.
If Hyper Sonic were to be used again, he should appear whenever a being stronger than Super Sonic by a long shot to the point to where he won’t lose with just that.
A theoretical abilities to add onto the list of ultra for hyper 1. Selective erasure... he can erase stuff in the game with hyper flash multiple AT ONCE 2. negative and positive chaos energy he can use both as he is chaos energy in its purest state not negative not positive but both 3. the ability to power up allies to super level(if super sonic can do this stuff then so can hyper heck he could prolly power em up to ultra or even the dark form... as that is negative chaos energy but its weaker than ultra due to it being less pure) 4. no need to breathe at all

I think we can guage a hypothetical current Game Hyper Sonic. Super Sonic's highest peak in games was in 06. He shared his power to make him, Shadow, and Silver into their Super selfs. Solaris's very exsistence was destroying all of time and space, this would include Maginary World from Sonic Shuffle where every dream was a universe. We don't know how long this place exsisted but it would make no sense to say it only has exsisted since Sonic itself has. For all we know this could have been since the beginning of time and Solaris coming into exsistence destroyed this. There would be beyong Quintillions of universes considering we have humans and humanoid animals and other dimensions like Blaze's in the Sonic Multiverse. Each Super defeated a Solaris in a different time period and destroyed his armor which tanked the Multiverse's destruction with no scratches yet Super Sonic and also Super Shadow and Super Silver could completely destroy said armor. Sonic asorbed this mich power without any strain since Sonic has used what he's needed for his Super form since we don't know how much he can take from the Infinite power let's just say that this was his max. One Super Emerald makes Super Sonic in the game meaning Hyper Sonic could be 7× of Game Super Sonic who could take in 3x the power of Solaris, arguably making Hyper Sonic 21× the power of Solaris. This is broken considering current Sonic would still have Space-Time manipulation via Chaos Control.

If you mean in the Sonic Franchise, then yes. But there are other franchises where there is an omnipotent being. And I don't mean those characters who claim to be omnipotent like Darkseid, I mean actual omnipotent characters, like The One Above All from Marvel (basically Marvel God)
@Divuv X You might be right. But this video is giving us an interesting idea. Hyper Sonic is a video game character. Heavily limited by gameplay mechanics. Super Sonic is also heavily limited by gameplay mechanics. In cutscenes, he can use Chaos Control, fly anywhere, purify negative energy, etc. In gameplay, we are just invincible. That’s it, no extra abilities. Even if Ultra Sonic existed in the games, we wouldn’t be able to use his powers. In gameplay, he would just be invincible. So, what if Hyper Sonic existed in the comics? What if he wasn’t limited by gameplay mechanics? Logically, he should be capable of doing anything Ultra Sonic can, but better.
@Jason black Yes, but if we were comparing a version of Hyper Sonic from the comics to Ultra Sonic, he would be significantly more powerful. It's common knowledge that Archie Sonic is much more powerful than game Sonic, but a comic version of Hyper Sonic would be above Ultra Sonic.

The Super Sonic transformation was inspired from the Super Sayian transformation, and then Ultra sonic was a thing before "Ultra instinct Goku" came around decades later.
7:51-7:55 Technically, sustaining his form depends on how much power he uses. Light use of his power, he can stay in his Ultra Form for a while longer. Heavy use of his power can result in a near instantaneous regression back into his regular base state. Think of it as being on adrenaline.
One ability of hyper sonic you forgot to mention was the hyper flash Which destroys all enemies on screen and gives sonic a double jump basically now the double jump could be a precursor to the boost ability Hyper sonic has SELECTIVE ERASURE he can erase the robotic shells around eggmans robots freeing the animals
If hyper was in the archie comics, and was the complete and full power version of ultra sonic, then he would have all of his abilities from ultra enhanced many times over, along with greater speed and physical strength
#HyperFormRules I like the looks more since it’s more colorful but I like the green one, could’ve liked it to be similar to Master Emerald color (I doubt you’d like it). I wish it came back in Mania Plus (justifying the Encore Special Stage), also having him be able to fly, no get crushed and cliff through the crushing blocks (yee), and being able to destroy Badniks on screen or even through the whole level. I like Hyper this way cause it’s very fun. I see the Hyper form multiplier like this. Each Super Emeralds is as strong as combined 7 Chaos Emeralds maybe even slightly stronger. (multiplier time, yee it doesn’t stop from DB) so random example is the Super form is x60,000,000,000,000 (not actually but only for example) but Hyper could x7 or another x60,000,000,000,000 so. - so 60E12 x7 = 4.2E14 - so 60E12 x60E12 = 3.6E27 I like the 60E12 x60E12 = 3.6E27 as it’s fun.
Didn’t Sonic use all 7 Super emeralds in Archie’s version of Sonic Adventure? And he just became...Super. Though not fully explained, I guess Chaos used most of their power to get Perfect, making their power equivalent to regular emeralds
Tails' form being called hyper is clearly just to give him a different name. Just like how his super form is inexplicably called turbo and Knuckles' is called hyper, there's no hidden meaning behind the names. If you're scaling Ultra above Super due to him "progressing" why don't you do the same for Hyper? Due to the nature of the game Super Emeralds, he would scale above all of game Super Sonic's feats. Comparing a What If? version of Hyper is kind of pointless for discussion, especially when Sonic did use all seven Super Emeralds in issue 83, rendering the entire idea of this hypothetical Archie Hyper Sonic moot.

I was referring to the naming conventions used in the Archie Comics. The games clearly utilize the real-world terms "supersonic" and "hypersonic" to showcase the power progression. It's incredibly unlikely that Sega's decision to limit super forms to male hedgehogs is due to copyright issues. If there was a copyright problem, how would they still be able to use Super Sonic at all? Burning Blaze was a thing before DBS. Toei clearly isn't sending them cease and desists over super forms. Tails needing the Super Emeralds is, unless I'm mistaken, never explained in universe, but it's generally understood to be due to his inexperience. He's able to transform with the Chaos Emeralds in Mania, so whatever caveat he faced is rectified.

The weird Sega restrictions on Super Forms started more than a decade before Universe 6 Saiyans became a thing. The 1st Case of it was Sonic Heroes in 2003 with Tails & Knuckles just getting Super Shields rather than full forms. Burning Blaze was a work around using a completely different set of Emeralds. Toei doesn't own Super Saiyans, they just have the animation rights for the Dragonball Franchise. Akira Toriyama is cool with references to his work in other series & there are several examples of it happening. Archie Comics is complicated supposedly Knuckles was naturally in Super Form because of the Master Emerald or something & he turns green when his Chaos Energy is corrupted & overflowing then he just needs the Chaos Emeralds to go Hyper because of the ME.
For the old Games, Both Sonic 3 and Sonic and Knuckles games had their own set of seven Chaos Emeralds since both games can play on their own, combine the games and you'd have fourteen Chaos Emeralds and that would break any lore the games had so they simply gave you seven Chaos Emeralds and made them become the seven Super Emeralds.

A bit of trivia for those who care. Sonic and Super Sonic both have black eyes in Sonic 3 & Knuckles. On the other hand, Hyper Sonic actually gains green eyes if you look close enough at his sprite. However, that doesn’t carry over in the best ending when we see him pose at the end of the credits. No one has ever brought this up but, his names, Sonic, Super Sonic and Hyper Sonic, are all essentially a play on the real words sonic, supersonic and hypersonic respectively. I know that sounds incredibly redundant but seriously, the very defintion of sonic speed is the speed of sound, supersonic is defined as a speed greater then the speed of sound (specifically mach 5), and hypersonic is defined as a speed GREATER then mach 5, greater then supersonic. That’s one of the reasons why I believe Hyper Sonic is a genius form. It wasn’t JUST a fancy name to give him that was inspired by the Super Saiyan transformation, it was a perfect play on his very name! The Hyper Flash that he emits that destroys all badniks onscreen is actually the ultimate upgrade of the Insta Shield. What the Insta Shield does is basically increase Sonic’s hitbox just a little bit so that he technically doesn’t have to fully touch enemies. It’s very helpful against spiked enemies. and once he turn into Hyper Sonic, instead if a slight increase in his hitbox, it just takes up the entire screen! Another way that the Hyper Flash boosts his abilities is being able to dash in any direction. The Flame Shield, Thunder Shield and Bubble Shield have him boost forwards, double jump and bounce down and back up respectively. Well, the hyperflash not only does ALL of that, but can also send him in all diagonal directions too. On top of cover the Bubble Shield in allowing him to breathe underwater. I personally would’ve liked it better if the Emeralds didn’t have the innate abilities to manipulate Space-Time as it was made to in Sonic Adventures 1, 2 and Sonic 06 and instead ONLY have the ability to enhance the user’s OWN abilities. Along with granting invincibility. Examples would be how not only can the user move faster but in the case of Tails and Knuckles, Tails can fly horizontally faster and Knuckles can climb vertically faster as well. Also, Shadow already demonstrates the ability to teleport short distances and use chaos energy for attacks in carious ways. The Choas Emeralds would just enhance THAT about him! Instead of being only able to teleport a short distance, he can teleport THE ENTIRE BLACK COMET as Super Shadow. However, that would mean Sonic would’ve blown up in Adventure 2 if Sonic wasn’t also able to teleport so oh well.
I wonder if anyone have ever thought of how sega could've kept hyper sonic in the games (like how they could of put like 12 to a 15 second timer on the form and make a reason for the timer like: its too powerful to be held for long no matter how much its used)
Hyper Saiyan & Ultra Saiyan would've been way better names than Super Saiyan 2 & Super Saiyan 3. Imagine Super Sonic 2 & Super Sonic 3 instead of hyper & ultra.

Hey Juan. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. If you let me know which art it was on which video I will credit you. This has been one of two things. Sometimes I can't find the name of the artist to credit (if you notice in all of my descriptions, I always credit the thumbnail arts) or second, it use to be one of my flaws to use art on DB and Sonic without crediting because I use to think it was fair use with it already being copyrighted characters. BUT... After becoming an artist myself I understand the effort put in so I've changed a lot and always try to credit when I can. Honestly when I learned about ultra and hyper sonic after seeing ultra instinct, I said that ultra sonic the incomplete version and hyper is the perfected state
Tbh I never had a problem with the ring timer while playing with hyper Sonic. Whenever I play Sonic 3 and Knuckles I always exploit the special stages you get when you cross a checkpoint, because of those I’m literally able to get half a thousand or more rings and just play hyper Sonic the whole stage with no limits… well really the only limit is just playing hyper Sonic so aggressively that he breaks the game and glitches out by phasing through walls, or completely surpassing the speed cap to the point where the environment can’t load where I’m at and everything is just a glitchy mess. Of course to get that certain special stage at each checkpoint you have to cross the checkpoint without taking damage which I’m able to do all the time to the point where hyper Sonic feels like cheating

I havent read the comics in a long time. (they are the best iteration of sonic along with the old school genisis comics.) But if my memory serves me right, during the Xorda stuff and learning of mobious' past, isnt it learned that chaos emeralds are basically each equal to the power/destruction of a nuclear bomb?

I have to disagree with you about not bringing Hyper Sonic back. You see the Sonic series has been degrading some what these years and hasn't really progress much. Plus there are ways to have Hyper Sonic back while not making him seem so overpowered. Like bringing more powerful and dangerous villains and entities like Solaris was. You can still have Hyper Sonic while bringing newer more powerful antagonists and enemies to challenge him in the Sonic series.
Hyper's slept on only because there's a limit to how broken your character should be. DC Comics has broken this rule many times before and regretted it, actively nerfing their characters when it happens. Yeah, that's right, I said DC Comics. Those characters, you know, the ones that always win in Vs. battles unless it's Batman. Those characters have actually reached levels akin to a hypothetical Hyper Sonic and the writers/comic distributors stopped doing it because people started losing interest due to their power eclipsing any kind of possible drama/challenge. Ultra's indeed OP as all hell and broken beyond measure but as we learned with his battle against Wally West, he's not completely invincible. Archie Hyper Sonic would be. No character can win against a character who could just blink his damned eyes and every possible universe/dimension/law/physics/time/space/everything you can think and haven't thought of yet bend to his will. That's basically giving your main character the God Mode cheat code and keeping it on at all times and just like when people see a gamer do this and groan, they'd do the same with an Archie Hyper Sonic. It's not like with, say, Goku learning Ultra Instinct and mastering it. Goku, even with a mastered form such as Ultra Instinct, is nowhere near invincible and this is why people love him so because, even though he always finds a way to win anyways, the path to victory for Goku is one littered in blood, be it his own or those around him. If Archie Sonic ever achieved Hyper then there's no longer a need to ever, EVER feel uncomfortable about something bad happening to him or anyone else around him again. Why? Why would Sonic allow that if he can just tick on God Mode and win? I feel Sonic Mania finally put the nail in this coffin once and for all by showing us that the Super Emeralds are in-fact destroyed. That's basically SEGA/Sonic Team's way of telling us, the viewers: Yes, we know Hyper existed. Yes, we know you want him back but you can't have him back because if you did then you'd break our games in half and it'd no longer really be much fun anymore. Also, it's probably so that we don't have to get 14 goddamned emeralds over and over. Seriously, I adore Hyper as a form and concept but FFFFFFFFFUCK Blue Sphere. GOD damn it. Sorry, that was repressed.

The Super emeralds are not destroyed in Mania. Those are stone replicas. It's not possible to "destroy" the Super emeralds as they are simply chaos emeralds empowered by the master emerald.

In the event "the great harmony" all the chaos emeralds in the universe (including Super emerald) converged into the Ultimate Chaos Emeralds, but when Sonic used them he does not turn into hyper sonic, but an absurdly powerful Super Sonic. ¡AH! and Ultra Sonic its a pre-super form, there's nothing beyond super sonic (in fact i think that the comic's authors said that)
curious if the chaos emeralds are from past universes all containing unlimited and boundless power. over time, they fuse and before a super emerald and repeats the process again till they turn into a master emerald. our timeline haves the current set of emeralds but one day will join into being a super emerald and the universe starts all over again. each wave showing a hero with boundless potential and only getting stronger.
The power rings you use to turn into super Sonic or whatever is basically the Kindleling and what ever that's left over the power rings is used to stay in that form each one is drained per minute in that form just to maintain that form acting like a fuse box and a transformer for Sonic so he wouldn't explode.
I feel like Hyper Sonic in Archie would be a complete Ultra form. Ultra would be a taste of the power limited only by Sonic himself, but Hyper would be Super with Ultra’s infinite power and potential

The best way to put it is control. Before Ultra Sonic was introduced, Hyper Sonic was basically the 'complete' form of super sonic. There's no powerscaling here, because these forms aren't dragon ball forms. They're narrative climaxes made manifest and enforce their thoughts and wishes through unlimited magical power. The only difference is their scope. Super Sonic is essentially the incomplete version of Ultra Sonic... Super Sonic is physically invincible, but he is vulnerable to chaos manipulation. Knuckles has a connection to the Master Emerald, which can manipulate the source of Super Sonic, and Eggman has been manipulating chaos energy for a long time now, hence pulling the emeralds out of Sonic in Unleashed. Hyper, conceptually, is essentially this, but without those vulnerabilities, and a far broader scope of chaos control.
Where does that leave Ultra Sonic? Well, if I had to take a shot in the dark, Ultra Sonic is basically just a single step up from Super Sonic. A super emerald contains the same amount of power as seven chaos emeralds, so the form is essentially the same, but the upgrade grants Ultra Sonic further power over the world around him. His ability to manipulate his environment is escalated to unparalelled lengths, essentially becoming a god, with a vaguely limited scope.
Conceptually, Hyper Sonic is an actual god. Not like a Dragon Ball god, an actual, capital G God that can enforce his wishes on the world freely. A conceptual archie hyper sonic would be that.

That's why Dragon Ball has this issue where they're either guaranteed to win or guaranteed to lose with no real middle because the gods in that series are lowercase g gods. Unless you can actually write and know that crossovers require balancing for the characters to meaningfully interact.

Now THIS was something else. I've never dug that deep into the Sonic lore before, so it was a real eye-opener. This was perhaps the most detailed look I ever had at the Archie comics so far, and likewise with the concept of Hyper Sonic. Initially, I was of the belief that Ultra Sonic was stronger for this reason, due to my lack of understanding. He was from the Archie comics where Sonic is generally considered to be stronger than in the games, the name just sounds stronger, and he's not flashing any colors, but rather has an infinity symbol of rings surrounding his chest. Not to mention in the sprite battle between Sonic and The Flash, Ultra Sonic was what brought Sonic out on top, and long story short he made quick work of the scarlet speedster. But after hearing how Sonic requires one super emerald or 1 billion rings to go Ultra, while remembering that he needs all seven to go Hyper (I did know that part), plus all the other stuff you added, now it all makes perfect sense, and I believe you couldn't have put it any better on why we have never seen Hyper Sonic ever again, and probably never should. My latest theory was that if you combined Super Sonic, Hyper Sonic and Ultra Sonic, then Sonic could achieve a form called Perfect Sonic: the final, ultimate demonstration of his true power. Now it is clear to me that that probably isn't necessary, because Hyper Sonic already is that form. :D
This was a treat, cause I was just thinking about this idea recently in one of my more out there story ideas. I thought of my own Sonic Universe that uses elements from as much Sonic content, but ultimately its more connected to the games. (Think Post Genesis Archie Sonic)
Eventually he goes through a Spider-Verse crossover. A Sonic-Verse if you will. With Original Archie Sonic being one of them, and stated being stronger, and even mentioned that he is the strongest because of him grabbing the One Billionth Ring, and each universes rules are different depending on how much rings are in the universe. Which explains how 'chaotic' the rules are.
It'll take awhile to explain it all, but basically, everyone teams up against Eggman, then a revelation turns everyone's back on each other and there is an all out war between everyone with many mirror matches. The main event being the Sonic's with the showdown Hyper Sonic vs Ultra Sonic. I thought about how it would go, and I guess I came to a similar conclusion like this video. Ultra Sonic is powerful, but it is merely an extension to Super Sonic, while Hyper is an ascension. Archie Sonic's base is still more powerful, and thus Ultra still is a match against Hyper.
There is more to this, but I'll save that for the Discord Chat. (Unless someone is dying to know more here) But yeah, glad someone made a video on a bonkers idea like this.

I think we can guage a hypothetical current Game Hyper Sonic. Super Sonic's highest peak in games was in 06. He shared his power to make him, Shadow, and Silver into their Super selfs. Solaris's very exsistence was destroying all of time and space, this would include Maginary World from Sonic Shuffle where every dream was a universe. We don't know how long this place exsisted but it would make no sense to say it only has exsisted since Sonic itself has. For all we know this could have been since the beginning of time and Solaris coming into exsistence destroyed this. There would be beyong Quintillions of universes considering we have humans and humanoid animals and other dimensions like Blaze's in the Sonic Multiverse. Each Super defeated a Solaris in a different time period and destroyed his armor which tanked the Multiverse's destruction with no scratches yet Super Sonic and also Super Shadow and Super Silver could completely destroy said armor. Sonic asorbed this mich power without any strain since Sonic has used what he's needed for his Super form since we don't know how much he can take from the Infinite power let's just say that this was his max. One Super Emerald makes Super Sonic in the game meaning Hyper Sonic could be 7× of Game Super Sonic who could take in 3x the power of Solaris, arguably making Hyper Sonic 21× the power of Solaris. This is broken considering current Sonic would still have Space-Time manipulation via Chaos Control.

The Super Sonic transformation was inspired from the Super Sayian transformation, and then Ultra sonic was a thing before "Ultra instinct Goku" came around decades later.
7:51-7:55 Technically, sustaining his form depends on how much power he uses. Light use of his power, he can stay in his Ultra Form for a while longer. Heavy use of his power can result in a near instantaneous regression back into his regular base state.
Think of it as being on adrenaline.

I like the looks more since it’s more colorful but I like the green one, could’ve liked it to be similar to Master Emerald color (I doubt you’d like it).
I wish it came back in Mania Plus (justifying the Encore Special Stage), also having him be able to fly, no get crushed and cliff through the crushing blocks (yee), and being able to destroy Badniks on screen or even through the whole level.

Tails' form being called hyper is clearly just to give him a different name. Just like how his super form is inexplicably called turbo and Knuckles' is called hyper, there's no hidden meaning behind the names.
If you're scaling Ultra above Super due to him "progressing" why don't you do the same for Hyper? Due to the nature of the game Super Emeralds, he would scale above all of game Super Sonic's feats.
Comparing a What If? version of Hyper is kind of pointless for discussion, especially when Sonic did use all seven Super Emeralds in issue 83, rendering the entire idea of this hypothetical Archie Hyper Sonic moot.

I was referring to the naming conventions used in the Archie Comics. The games clearly utilize the real-world terms "supersonic" and "hypersonic" to showcase the power progression.
It's incredibly unlikely that Sega's decision to limit super forms to male hedgehogs is due to copyright issues. If there was a copyright problem, how would they still be able to use Super Sonic at all? Burning Blaze was a thing before DBS. Toei clearly isn't sending them cease and desists over super forms.
Tails needing the Super Emeralds is, unless I'm mistaken, never explained in universe, but it's generally understood to be due to his inexperience. He's able to transform with the Chaos Emeralds in Mania, so whatever caveat he faced is rectified.

The weird Sega restrictions on Super Forms started more than a decade before Universe 6 Saiyans became a thing. The 1st Case of it was Sonic Heroes in 2003 with Tails & Knuckles just getting Super Shields rather than full forms. Burning Blaze was a work around using a completely different set of Emeralds. Toei doesn't own Super Saiyans, they just have the animation rights for the Dragonball Franchise. Akira Toriyama is cool with references to his work in other series & there are several examples of it happening. Archie Comics is complicated supposedly Knuckles was naturally in Super Form because of the Master Emerald or something & he turns green when his Chaos Energy is corrupted & overflowing then he just needs the Chaos Emeralds to go Hyper because of the ME.

For the old Games, Both Sonic 3 and Sonic and Knuckles games had their own set of seven Chaos Emeralds since both games can play on their own, combine the games and you'd have fourteen Chaos Emeralds and that would break any lore the games had so they simply gave you seven Chaos Emeralds and made them become the seven Super Emeralds.
Someone do an in depth theory of if Sonic can goes super without using the chaos emeralds.

A bit of trivia for those who care.
Sonic and Super Sonic both have black eyes in Sonic 3 & Knuckles. On the other hand, Hyper Sonic actually gains green eyes if you look close enough at his sprite. However, that doesn’t carry over in the best ending when we see him pose at the end of the credits.
No one has ever brought this up but, his names, Sonic, Super Sonic and Hyper Sonic, are all essentially a play on the real words sonic, supersonic and hypersonic respectively. I know that sounds incredibly redundant but seriously, the very defintion of sonic speed is the speed of sound, supersonic is defined as a speed greater then the speed of sound (specifically mach 5), and hypersonic is defined as a speed GREATER then mach 5, greater then supersonic.
That’s one of the reasons why I believe Hyper Sonic is a genius form. It wasn’t JUST a fancy name to give him that was inspired by the Super Saiyan transformation, it was a perfect play on his very name!
The Hyper Flash that he emits that destroys all badniks onscreen is actually the ultimate upgrade of the Insta Shield. What the Insta Shield does is basically increase Sonic’s hitbox just a little bit so that he technically doesn’t have to fully touch enemies. It’s very helpful against spiked enemies. and once he turn into Hyper Sonic, instead if a slight increase in his hitbox, it just takes up the entire screen!
Another way that the Hyper Flash boosts his abilities is being able to dash in any direction. The Flame Shield, Thunder Shield and Bubble Shield have him boost forwards, double jump and bounce down and back up respectively. Well, the hyperflash not only does ALL of that, but can also send him in all diagonal directions too. On top of cover the Bubble Shield in allowing him to breathe underwater.
I personally would’ve liked it better if the Emeralds didn’t have the innate abilities to manipulate Space-Time as it was made to in Sonic Adventures 1, 2 and Sonic 06 and instead ONLY have the ability to enhance the user’s OWN abilities. Along with granting invincibility.
Examples would be how not only can the user move faster but in the case of Tails and Knuckles, Tails can fly horizontally faster and Knuckles can climb vertically faster as well. Also, Shadow already demonstrates the ability to teleport short distances and use chaos energy for attacks in carious ways. The Choas Emeralds would just enhance THAT about him! Instead of being only able to teleport a short distance, he can teleport THE ENTIRE BLACK COMET as Super Shadow. However, that would mean Sonic would’ve blown up in Adventure 2 if Sonic wasn’t also able to teleport so oh well.
You should probably do what your thoughts on the Archie and IDW Comics of Sonic.

Hey Juan. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. If you let me know which art it was on which video I will credit you. This has been one of two things. Sometimes I can't find the name of the artist to credit (if you notice in all of my descriptions, I always credit the thumbnail arts) or second, it use to be one of my flaws to use art on DB and Sonic without crediting because I use to think it was fair use with it already being copyrighted characters. BUT... After becoming an artist myself I understand the effort put in so I've changed a lot and always try to credit when I can.

Honestly when I learned about ultra and hyper sonic after seeing ultra instinct, I said that ultra sonic the incomplete version and hyper is the perfected state
Tbh I never had a problem with the ring timer while playing with hyper Sonic. Whenever I play Sonic 3 and Knuckles I always exploit the special stages you get when you cross a checkpoint, because of those I’m literally able to get half a thousand or more rings and just play hyper Sonic the whole stage with no limits… well really the only limit is just playing hyper Sonic so aggressively that he breaks the game and glitches out by phasing through walls, or completely surpassing the speed cap to the point where the environment can’t load where I’m at and everything is just a glitchy mess. Of course to get that certain special stage at each checkpoint you have to cross the checkpoint without taking damage which I’m able to do all the time to the point where hyper Sonic feels like cheating

I have to disagree with you about not bringing Hyper Sonic back. You see the Sonic series has been degrading some what these years and hasn't really progress much. Plus there are ways to have Hyper Sonic back while not making him seem so overpowered. Like bringing more powerful and dangerous villains and entities like Solaris was. You can still have Hyper Sonic while bringing newer more powerful antagonists and enemies to challenge him in the Sonic series.

Hyper's slept on only because there's a limit to how broken your character should be. DC Comics has broken this rule many times before and regretted it, actively nerfing their characters when it happens. Yeah, that's right, I said DC Comics. Those characters, you know, the ones that always win in Vs. battles unless it's Batman. Those characters have actually reached levels akin to a hypothetical Hyper Sonic and the writers/comic distributors stopped doing it because people started losing interest due to their power eclipsing any kind of possible drama/challenge.
Ultra's indeed OP as all hell and broken beyond measure but as we learned with his battle against Wally West, he's not completely invincible. Archie Hyper Sonic would be. No character can win against a character who could just blink his damned eyes and every possible universe/dimension/law/physics/time/space/everything you can think and haven't thought of yet bend to his will. That's basically giving your main character the God Mode cheat code and keeping it on at all times and just like when people see a gamer do this and groan, they'd do the same with an Archie Hyper Sonic.
It's not like with, say, Goku learning Ultra Instinct and mastering it. Goku, even with a mastered form such as Ultra Instinct, is nowhere near invincible and this is why people love him so because, even though he always finds a way to win anyways, the path to victory for Goku is one littered in blood, be it his own or those around him. If Archie Sonic ever achieved Hyper then there's no longer a need to ever, EVER feel uncomfortable about something bad happening to him or anyone else around him again. Why? Why would Sonic allow that if he can just tick on God Mode and win?
I feel Sonic Mania finally put the nail in this coffin once and for all by showing us that the Super Emeralds are in-fact destroyed. That's basically SEGA/Sonic Team's way of telling us, the viewers: Yes, we know Hyper existed. Yes, we know you want him back but you can't have him back because if you did then you'd break our games in half and it'd no longer really be much fun anymore. Also, it's probably so that we don't have to get 14 goddamned emeralds over and over. Seriously, I adore Hyper as a form and concept but FFFFFFFFFUCK Blue Sphere. GOD damn it. Sorry, that was repressed.
But remember mania is in another dimension separate from the main canon timeline therefore we do not know the true fate on the original universes super emeralds
The Super emeralds are not destroyed in Mania. Those are stone replicas. It's not possible to "destroy" the Super emeralds as they are simply chaos emeralds empowered by the master emerald.

In the event "the great harmony" all the chaos emeralds in the universe (including Super emerald) converged into the Ultimate Chaos Emeralds, but when Sonic used them he does not turn into hyper sonic, but an absurdly powerful Super Sonic. ¡AH! and Ultra Sonic its a pre-super form, there's nothing beyond super sonic (in fact i think that the comic's authors said that)

curious if the chaos emeralds are from past universes all containing unlimited and boundless power. over time, they fuse and before a super emerald and repeats the process again till they turn into a master emerald. our timeline haves the current set of emeralds but one day will join into being a super emerald and the universe starts all over again. each wave showing a hero with boundless potential and only getting stronger.
The power rings you use to turn into super Sonic or whatever is basically the Kindleling and what ever that's left over the power rings is used to stay in that form each one is drained per minute in that form just to maintain that form acting like a fuse box and a transformer for Sonic so he wouldn't explode.
