Thank you Lord you still have a remanent....this madness and unfortunate support from the church to this authoritarian governments is not Biblical at all, this is sad and May the Lord have mercy of his church
I agree with John Piper completely and that Filipino Christians should see the need to pray and witness Jesus to our countrymen, however, the question by Hannah is not completely informative and there is another side of the coin: The government graciously offered that any drug addict or pusher that surrender willingly (already in the millions) will be given over to rehab AND an evangelical church will partner to disciple those people - that is actually great news! I believe that Hannah, I and the rest of the Christians in this nation should not just know how to 'react' to issues like this. We should not just be reactive (responding only when the need arises) but be proactive (making things happen) and become radical and missional in winning souls for Jesus in this nation. Jesus is the Way - the only Way. God bless the Philippines! And thank you John Piper and Desiring God!
Your other side of the coin doesn't exist. You obviously don't understand drug addiction. Condoning the murder of innocent people is wrong. No way to sugarcoat that. Nice try Buddy.
I am against a killing of an innocent, but if my Govt. chooses to place judgement against people involved in illegal activities, then I go back to Romans 13:1... Do you think that what is happening in the Philippines is outside of Gods control? Just as the Bible says that we should be still and know that He is God.
Romans 13 says "he is the minister of God to thee for good." That is the description of the powers that be which are ordained of God. How do holocausts happen? You're seeing the answer right here folks. It's called excusing the inexcusable.
That makes no sense sir. I do not support anything that is corrupt or evil.
