I have been diagnosed with long-haul COVID-19 as well. I contracted covid Dec 2021, I lost my smell completely for about 10 months and my taste for over a year and a half. To this day most foods I eat don't taste the same. So I get what he is saying. I took the original 2 shots but no booster shots. Family members get the booster shots but I refuse to. People talk about what they knew but no facts behind it.

Here's what I knew at the time.
These were completely novel vaccines. No previous vaccine had ever used this mechanism (transfection).
Adenovirus vector and mRNA products were completely novel technologies. They had never been fully FDA approved for ANY purpose.
The clinical trial process had been drastically truncated.
The "experts in charge" were lying about natural immunity. Everything I knew about immunity suggested that, for reasons I won't explain in detail, my previous infection would be significantly more protective and durable than these vaccines could make anyone. And it also suggested that vaccination following previous infection would provide little to no additional protection. Data later on proved both of my assumptions to be correct.
So there I was. The so-called "experts" were blatantly lying.
So I started asking questions.
Why pick these untried technologies? Why not just make an inactivated virus vaccine, or a protein subunit vaccine? It's not about speed. They've had occasions where they've had to roll out a vaccine for an unpredicted strain of flu in 5 months.
So why? I looked into it. The FDA has apparently been very leery about approving anything that uses transfection. Not for cancer treatment, not for rare genetic diseases, not for anything. The manufacturers would have seen a deadly pandemic as leverage to get their first approvals of the technology. And then, once everything went super smoothly, the FDA would have no reason to not authorize the tech for other things. Cha-ching.
Second, the tech is still under patent. The virus was not. Processes for making conventional vaccines were not. Any generic manufacturer could produce their own conventional vaccine on the cheap. Novavax eventually did.
While Pfizer and Moderna charge $90 to $130 per dose, a pharmacy can get a 25ml vial of Novavax (5 adult doses) for about $10.
I had the same issues with HCQ and IVM. IVM has known antiviral properties and a long safety record. Its antiviral properties would make it useful as a prophylactic.
And HCQ also has a long safety record, and a plausible mechanism of action.
Most COVID patients ultimately die of something called cytokine storm syndrome (CSS), typically days or even weeks after the infection has been cleared. Basically, your immune system reacts to infection by spraying proinflammatory cytokines (PICs) all over the place. Sometimes, it mistakes the inflammation it caused for more infection, and releases more PICs. Which it then mistakes for more infection, and so on and so on, until your immune system's proinflammatory response ends up killing you.
HCQ inhibits the release of PICs. That's why it's used for inflammatory diseases like lupus and rheumatoid arthritis. It's role in down-regulating immune-mediated inflammation would not make it a prophylactic against infection--quite the opposite, in fact. Inflammation a vital component of the immune system's response to pathogens. It helps your immune system fight infection. But HCQ WOULD plausibly be a prophylactic against CSS in patients whose inflammatory symptoms are severe. High fever, extreme myalgia, inflammation and fluid buildup in the lungs, etc.
Which brings me to the panacea. Vitamin D. Your skin makes vitamin D out of sunlight. D's role in immune mediation is well understood. It reduces proinflammatory cytokines and increases anti inflammatory cytokines. It also enhances the activity of white blood cells. Basically, it makes them work properly.
Most people in the northern hemisphere are deficient in D, particularly those with darker skin. A meta analysis of hospitalized COVID patients found that vitamin D supplementation reduced ICU admissions by more than 70%, and deaths by more than 50%.
According to one witness testifying before congress, his hospital would not permit him to administer vitamin D to COVID patients, because vitamin D was not in the guidelines put out by the CDC.
Oh, and vitamin D also has a well-established safety record. It's nearly impossible to overdose on it. Most supplements are 500 to 1000 IU. You'd have to take 15,000 IU per day for months to reach toxicity.
Again, notice anything about ivermectin, HCQ and vitamin D? Yeah. They're all cheap generics.

True that it is very difficult to take Cuomo seriously after his horrendous CNN days. It is very easy to tell when he is simply covering his butt (starts using "word salads"). However, it's good to hear all voices (well, to a degree) so we can all make up our own mind.
I agree with the “ hear all voices” but when the voices continue to talk bs even when they pretend to shift their stance, to gain employment, you have to call them out and make a choice to help them promote their points. Chris Cumo, as a registered nurse who treated Covid patients and was then fired for “non compliance” with a vaccine mandate, I have stopped waiting on the day where the media and medical community will apologize for the pain they caused so many. You are right there Christopher, an apology will never come, certainly not from you it sounds like. “Frontline” workers were fired across the country, vilified and mocked. As a registered nurse, I lost my job, friendships, and had to pick up the pieces to care for my family and children. By the GRACE of God we had the strength to endure that.
There are many of us willing to speak on this but 4 years later there is no accountability. I’ve made my peace with that Christopher.
