Hi all, thanks for watching this video and even bigger thanks for those that watched it all the way through to the end. Don't forget if you have not already seen, there is a step one for blocking in layer and step 3 for final detail layer in this series so be sure to give those a watch also (Links in description) and please hit like and consider subscribing if you would like to see further tutorials. Suggestions on what tutorials you would like to see are also gratefully received.

I liked your reference showing in step one. I found it helped me see what your process was.

First half of the video was green for me for some reason. I really enjoy watching you paint!

I've no idea why that is happening to you. Not had this report from anyone else and doesn't do that to me either....:/

Wonderful video on Step 2 in painting the Pug. Thank you for telling us what colors you used. I’d love to see you mix them on your palette! Acrylic painting is so different from water color painting, which is what I’m use to using, so listening to you explaining your steps is so helpful. Your comment about artists developing their own style was very interesting. As a intermediate watercolorist it is so helpful, for me anyways, to watch and learn from other painters. It gives me the courage to try new ideas and techniques . Your paintings are so realistic. I can’t seem to capture the realism I want in water color ( I know I need more practice LOL) but, when I saw your paintings I had to learn more. Thank you for sharing 😊👍

Watercolour suits a more impressionist style and is designed for looser styles than what i do. It is always good to take bits of this and that from others and then incorporate it into your own techniques.
I currently have no room and no extra camera for filming the palette...plus i tend to hold the palette so it wouldn't be staying still lol....

Love this set... Youre very right about the challenge of sharing work before done and how stuff can look like a disaster for folks that have never painted / drew before. Im going to give painting a go again after 20 years away from it and thought to do pug for my wife (she love pugs) but of all the things ive drawn in my life i dont think ive ever drew/painted a dog.
Im trying a complete new line of acrylic paints so Im hoping im soaking in a lot of what you teach! I was wondering why you stick to larger brushes for detailing instead of smaller?. Is it to save going back to palate? ....ummm hahaha funny.. you literally just answered my question as I was typing message.
Would have really liked to have seen your process for mouth nose and eyes though! I think those areas likely a lot harder?
    keep on keepn on!

Cant see a part 3, is there one? I could watch these for hours btw, time lapse videos imo are pretty pointless to watch. Id also like to see a camera on the palette if at all possible in the future. A brilliant set of videos you have

yes there is a part 3.
As things stand, there is no space where I am working to have another camera on the palette...plus it means saving up for another camera to do it and they aren't cheap lol. I'm not sure if/when I'll be able to do that.
I will still do timelapse videos because i know I like to watch other peoples and I am often too busy for tutorials such as at the moment so they make good fillers.

Plus I hold my palette whilst using it so it doesn't stay still lol...
