  • This was a few cooks in and my bro brought over some locally sourced (brandt) chops, pork roast and store bought ribs to go along with my Brandt Farms pork belly. Really good times making this video 😄

Right on, love seeing the full sized IVS in action, and with pork belly burnt ends? Nothing better right there.
My IVS went into fabrication a couple weeks ago so ready for that call any day.

Very nice! What package did you go with? I definitely want to check it out once it arrives. This thing flowed through this cook like a breeze. It was nice being on autopilot with a cook with a few pieces of protein like this. Thanks for watching be sure to stick around. Plenty more cooks to come!

@@kerncountyrd5263 just a heads up I tossed a shorts vid out this morning showing how easily you can drain under the cart. Im not sure how the shorts work exactly but if they don't notify you, it is out there.

Man those IVS are machines. Watch leaving that door open too long. That bad boy will get hot and they are hard as heck to get down to temp again. great cook man! Have a great one.

Hey brother Biggs! Thanks for watching. You are absolutely correct (for anyone reading through comments don't do what I did) I have been putting these pits in really weird situations to test how much grates I can get from them before things are too hard to recover. I'm going to have a ton of fun with this little machine in the future! I truly appreciate you dropping a comment. Those bellies (bacon) were outstanding!

First, love the hat, way to cold for anything else, super impressed with the connections to source top quality proteins, brother you alway march to the beat of your own drum, threw a curve on this video, expecting brisket and get some swine👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 the interior of the smoker looks like it’s seasoning very nicely, something bout that bronze color on those first cooks, that fat looks nice and rendered, and those golden spare ribs 🥳,

I legit have a brisket and srf ribs here. I almost pulled the trigger because you and I talked about straight cook, no wrap but I already had a ton of beef because of chili that I made so I went with Arnold (green acres) lol.
Thanks brother! This hat is super clutch on days like today and the day that the other part was shot. I'm doing a cook now and my fingers were numb dealing with my phone.
There is an absolute huge difference with local and store meat. A shockingly big difference I've learned. Of course I still get a lot of stuff from the store but when I pull out the frsh stuff I don't let it go to waste!
That compliment on the ribs means a lot coming from the rib master!! I appreciate that sir 🙏 I hope you're staying warm put! And cool out since it went from 62 to 19 in one day smh

@@dsquebackyardbbq217 😂 I’ll bet Arnold was tasty and tender too, I’m pretty much limited to paying the premium price for mail order, SRF and Creek Stone Farms, with prices what they are I may as well purchase the best, saw a bag of chicken breast at Walmart for 25.00, walked away, I’m patting myself on the back for stocking up when I did, looking forward to warmer temperatures and you rolling that badboy out and cooking mass quantities 🍖🦃🥓

@@bjsbackyardbuckeyebbq5820 I feel you about stocking up. That was much better than 5 yrs worth of tp in the garage lol 25.00 for some yard bird is insane. I can't believe what is being done with these prices. They are going to force folks to go old school victory garden. I will say that I've seen brisket prices drop around a dollar or so. Still has a little way to go though.

Hey Brother D! Nice fresh Pig right there! So what is that flavor profile you use at the house? What stoker you using? BTW....that's whats up! 👍
Like how you got the controller in a plastic tub. 👍 Your sauce sounds great and of coarse your wife makes it better than you. 😁
Pig has nice color and those ribs look dynamite! Dude.....close the door! LOL What are you using for fuel in this Pit?
    Great Vid Bro.......Metal On! \🔥/

    • @dsquebackyardbbq217
      @dsquebackyardbbq217  2 роки тому

Lol I was trying to dog this thing a little to see how much I could get away with leaving the door open before I got a huge temp spike 😅
I try so many different flavors for the house when I'm not making my own it's insane. You should see the seasoning box. This day I used KC sweet by Cuisinart. It is surprisingly decent. I find myself loving it on pork.
That controller is the fireboard 2 drive. I really like this thing. Flame boss used to be my fav but it is still unreliable connecting to their wifi during peak days like holidays.. The guru is a not too distant 3rd mainly because you get more probes with the fireboard and it keeps temp just a little better.. and yeah tubs make things extremely stress free in this OH weather!
Btw... I think I will delete your comment before the wife sees it and starts bragging hahahaha
Thanks as always for dropping by, Ken!

Oh and B&B char logs. My guy Toby got me hip to them. I had used prime 6 last year (have a ton of footage testing longevity that I need to put out) and another brand as well that my bro gave me. Just learned of B&B this year
