Every time "The Boss" shows up, the video gets better. Despite a few communication issues, in the end you did what needed to be done to help this driver out. Breaking down on a holiday weekend SUCKS!! This driver can relax knowing that his load and equipment are safe for the weekend. Job well done!!!!

The coolest thing watching this video is hearing the respect that you have for your Dad and the happiness you have in Your voice that he is there to help you. I also love that older Peterbuilt truck your Dad is driving. The colors are old school but still looking like new. You are blessed to still have your Dad working with you at "Pepe's Towing". GOD bless your families for the upcoming holidays 2023.

It is not a language barrier, it is a cultural barrier. Folks from India and Pakistan are some of the most keen negotiators in the world, and the "language" barrier was his way of negotiating. He knew he couldn't leave the trailer in the dock, but hoped that once it was there, the owner would have no choice but to let it stay (much cheaper than towing and storing it).

I admire the way you were able to deal with the "miscomunication" without losing your cool. I have just finished a marathon of "PEPE"S Tow" and each of the videos your politeness to the public, customers is great. One obious reason that the company has grown. To all the people who made rude comments, I hope you enjoy your easy chair or coffee with a tablet. It reminds me of the time my oldest brother told a man who was grumbling about how his generation did a job better "Yeah, that was when the winter was colder and the snow deeper" Thnaks again for the new video!

Tow to your yard & charge him for storage, you got to get him off the middle of the street. He may have no money, but that's trucking. He's got to prepare for these issues. Trailer storage is minimum $500.00 per day, any where. This drivers going to need to book a room at an "Extended Stay Hotel".

These flip floppers love running junk equipment working for peanuts dropping rates down to nothing even where a mega carrier can’t compete. Now we have huge problems with new Canadian trucking companies hiring company drivers as incorporated and not paying them things like vacation pay , wsib, health benefits, proper taxes and so on . when the employees are really company drivers but just scamming the government by not paying proper taxes and another reason why these companies can run so cheap .

That driver is a prime example of why the government raised the standards for getting a CDL. Most of the unaccredited mom and pop "schools" that likely gave this guy a CDL are gone, hopefully. Gone are the days where you could take the CDL test without any training and start driving a truck.

Come to Canada and all you will see now is this group of people driving. Poorly trained, many drive poorly maintained trucks. Rates cut so low even big companies can't compete. A total mess and yes like this driver you really don't need to know how to speak english

so his communication skills are terrible. one of the least sought after skills in this industry. moreover the above nonsense about hole in the wall schools is garbage, many states use their personnel to do road and pretrip testing, though illinois where guy is based www.ilsos.gov/departments/drivers/driver_education/commercial_driver_training/thirdparty.html does not always, though certifies third party testers. while there are some fake cdl schools that pop up in recent years, most are not. some are lower quality. the one i attended, i can say with certainty, was a joke. the dmv people that came in to test us were hacks. one of them even tried to take off points for a part that does not exist on the steer axle during my pre trip test until i argued. my road test was also a bit of a joke. it's still around and kicking, churning out people that will never be able to pass any good company's hiring tests.
moving on to companies, my first job should not have been putting drivers on the road. less than a week with a trainer and either they like you and give you a truck or they give you 2 days to improve and send you home on a bus. i took my truck home and knew pretty much immediately i needed more training and was winging it. i'm still trucking and looking for another company that will pay me what i'm worth. there are absolutely new drivers being put in positions where you either get good quick or you get somebody killed.
his truck broke down as he was setting up to back all the way into a weird dock. he didn't get stuck, he didn't crash, etc. the only thing i can imagine you shittalking is the flip flops and the fact that he's a foreigner. that's pretty much the two things i hear other drivers raging about.

@@Leotheconstructionguy Yeah, you check fluids on a pre trip. Missing FIVE gallons of ATF might be noticeable and knowing that would've made the mechanical problem avoidable.

Well the flip flops tell us something…
Looks like he’s able to back though. Definitely wouldn’t be stuck if his transmission wasn’t screwed up. Not sure if it’s the microphone or if the truck is running rough, sounds very tin canny in this video and it’s fairly new.
