Would still like to see more interstate recoveries like he used to film not too many years ago. Ones were they have to unload the trucks and with very complex rigging to get it out.
Shelby is certainly more aggressive and doesn't stand back, she just gets in there and works and doesn't wait for somebody else do it. Great job Shelby. Give her a raise and employee of the year.
Shelby's attitude and willingness to work is impressive. She wants to learn and is not afraid to do what's necessary to get the job done. Her attention to detail and safety must be a blessing for you and your company. Please share this with her. Enjoying the videos. I look forward to lunch time on Fridays so I can enjoy a meal and a video. Thank you!
I’m not positive, but I think Shelby is Ron’s daughter (older than Ethan). If so, she has been working in the company office for many years and her husband manages the shop. 🇨🇦
I have to agree, Shelby's thinking was spot on and her concerns for any further damage was very impressive I was very impressed with her. Ron, Shelby is a well worth asset to your crew your whole crew is what makes your team effective a well oiled machine
Mornin Mr. Pratt and crew. I had to laugh when both yourself and Shelby talked to the equipment, due to that fact I do it too. Also please pass along to Shelby that as I was listening to her talk through the situation of rolling and the eventual lift, I was extremely impressed by her concern for the safety and working through how to minimize any further damage. As a military recovery specialist, it's extremely refreshing to hear the younger generation take all that into account. Well done young lady!
@MrFox2548 you should've seen the video where Shelby and ron had a forklift job she got in there and asked questions and got the job done. I'm impressed with her go get em attitude she is gonna go far.
I love seeing competent people doing it. Shouldn't matter if you are a man or a woman. DEI is harmful to society. Means Didn't Earn It in my book. We should celebrate competency, not gender.
Shelby needs a set of work gloves-put them on when you get out of the truck every time. Dig a piece of steel cable out of your finger and ask me how I know that.
I gotta tell you Ron, I'm really impressed, not only with Shelby's energy but also with her growing understanding of the rigging that needs to be applied in each job. Great job Shelby. I think you're going to be a pioneer in the Wrecker/Towing business.
Ron I think Ethan is going to have competition before long from Shelby she seems to be getting quite confident in how recoveries are being carried out well done to her and you for the great way you are training her.
Ron you are a luckiest man i know. You have been able to find young people who want to learn and more importantly they pay attention to safety You sir are a great mentor to the people around you It reminds me of my days in the navy when the young people really wanted to learn, and then when i work with a small company in the truck repair business
Oh my. I just need to say as a former towing & recovery operator for heavy equipment and trucks. I absolutely love how Shelby takes control of every situation that she’s involved with! She doesn’t even wear gloves!! Wow!Girl power!!

Love to see women in men dominated professions! God bless her greatly in her career and I wish for her to achieve the best possible for herself! You go Shelby!
Afternoon Ron and the Midwest Truck team. That refuse truck driver was a pure amateur. I mean, he didn’t even roll it under power lines to really put you too the test.😂😂 stay safe out there. 😎🇬🇧
Gotta love finding the easter eggs in Ron's videos,,,aswell as watching the crews abilities to clear up whatever job they have quickly, safely, and clear roads and highways. I mean where else do you see watermelon painted propane tanks, or find truly fast advertising sings for 'dumpster rental' being put up right at the point of a trash truck accident @17:50 lol...another fine job crew,, well done.
I know in situations like you were in there, Ron, it's hard to stay positive with all the stress. I could tell you was stressed out a little bit with your tone, but you held it together like a champ. Our Father always appreciates us being as positive as we can be at all times. God Bless you guys in all that you guys do.
I love Shelby. She is always concerned about protecol. When she picked up that torn apart car with no doors and no trunk she turned it over so well.❤❤❤❤❤
What a ballet dance with that dumpster hanging in the air good job Sir. And Shelby is really someone you should really appreciate, I'm glad to see her out on your rescue missions. 👍👍
Shelby is awesome. She is definitely an A1 employee and intuitive as well. The person that will go very far in her career with Midwest, sir. I drove truck for years (retired now) and always loved it when a new employee showed the smarts, logic and humility to learn and show intelligence when asked the question, " What is your thoughts on this situation? She shows those qualities.
Shelby really has what it takes to get the job done ! Great job ! She’s learning from the best and it shows. She’s gonna be a great asset to Midwest trucking.
We look forward to every Friday to see what adventure you post. I like how you stay calm and use these calls as teachable moments for you people, looks like Shelby is picking up trade well. Thanks for sharing your work with us !
Great reasoning skills with this one. I know she has been on the team for a while but she seems to know what is going on... and asking great questions making pretty good assumptions. Seems to be good at predicting your needs...
Hey Ron, Shelby is really stepping up to the plate! Good suggestions, knows where stuff is on the truck, lots of hustle, and follows directions well. Not afraid to dive in and het her hands dirty either. Just add reminding you to turn cameras on to her checklist! LOL
A rubbish job, but someone's got to do it!!! Shelby's proving to be an asset to the team and is a quick learner. I dread to think what the stench was with that box, especially as it was a hot day. At least one thing was conspicious by its absence. . . . overhead power cables!!! Greetings from the UK. God bless!!
I'm not going to lie. I'm in this business, and wish I had a boss that talked to me and had the professional that you have. Makes for a stress free work environment
Ronnie u need to clean the tator, control panels r dirty dirty and thing aren't where they should be. Trucks been working hard. Live the videos and it's never the same situation. Thanks for taking us along. Love hearing Shelby give her ideas She is a darn good asset to ur company
Shelby has done learned the first rule in working with the Tater, sometimes you have to sweet talk it and sometimes you have to get tough with it. Give that girl a year or two and she'll be running that truck! Glad to see a hard worker and her willingness to learn and stay safe. To everyone at Midwest Truck, stay safe and God Bless!
There use to be an old song that comes to mind here--- "Give me 40 acres and I'll turn this rig around"... :) LOVE TATOR.... like it should have a cape and call it SUPER TRUCK!!!
I have to say how impressed I am with Shelby. I enjoyed seeing her getting right into the tough work, and she is not afraid to do it. I was equally impressed with the fact that she is using her smarts while out on a call. She shows initiative and asks questions. If she keeps up her incredible work ethic I think she may be worthy of a set of keys to The Rotator. I'm looking forward to seeing more of her in future videos.
Excitement never ends when you have the big guns from Miller. Shelby's gonna build some muscles lifting those weights two at a time. Ah, a cute propane tank painted as a watermelon. My propane company won't allow such--no painting or decorating. I've heard of garbage picking, but this is extreme and nerve wracking. Finally a gentle let down and big sigh. Good Teamwork.
Ron, Shelby thinks a lot like you. She keeps thinking way ahead. And she is not afraid of hard work. Don't let her go. She is a great asset to the company.
Great job Ron & Shelby very professional as always ! Shelby your a hard worker you are a great asset to the wrecker service ! Not afraid to get dirty to get the job done ! 👍👍
You wouldn’t think the bed of a garbage truck would fall off. When I worked for Bordens my refrigerator almost fell off. The refrigerator had one bolt b4 it too would’ve been on the ground. Scary things in the workplace.
Ron. With 52 years in fire service. We always tried to teach our guys to slow down and stop at intersections and lights. The Q siren is a Federal bumper mount. B safe my friend.

Hey hey Ron glad to see another video. Hoping all is well with ya. Love ya brother thanks for the awesome videos and showing us what you do for work. Keep up the good work
This is the first time I’ve seen Shelby so I don’t know her experience but she seems to be a great asset. She gets in there and does the job and gets out of the way when not needed. 👍
Look into getting your electronic siren programmed for Power Call. That moves traffic way better that wail or yelp. That's all I use when responding as a volunteer firefighter on our engines and rescue squads. Huge difference.
