Question ❓ I'm having to run new coax cable ony marine vhf radio. How do you measure the the length of the cable ? Every 3 feet or 1.5 feet ? I only need 6 feet at the most and I don't want to screw up the frequency that it runs on . Thanks

Another good continuity test that should be done is between the centre conductor and shield to check it isn't shorted, especially given the soldered core looked quite long inside the fitting.
I have a full size strobe led light bar on my roof (warning lights) i have a small CB no big power but when i key the mic, It will turn on the lights do you know what is wrong or how to fix??????????????????????????????? SOME ONE PLEASE HELP!
They have diff wires - the lights have a 12v d.c. from batt into cab where it goes into a controller for the lights from there the power lines exit the cab to the roof where they go into the light bar.... The CB has a cig plug wire (12v. D.C.) from the dash to the cb, then a ant. coax cable from the CB to the roof into the ant. there are NO SHARED wires.
OK do the wires run close/touching/intertwined ? Maybe inducing enough voltage from field to energize lights. If so separate wires 1m or more. If not, better talk to an electrician. I'm a mechanic. Good luck.

The point of watching is to see how to repair from your guidance but I couldn't see what you were doing so it was pointless for us both. Thanks for trying to help though. Are they sharing the wire? Seems you are energizing the lights with the mic switch. Run a separate wire for your CB (antenna)
