Today we're checking out the Avengers of Japanese women metal bands, Doll$boxx! You guys requested I check out their song Take My Chance and here we are. Let's see how Fuki from Unlucky Morpheus's vocals mesh with the Gacharic Spin members!

Doing 4 shows at the end of the year in Japan as a two man with Gacharic Spin. We've been waiting a long time.

Totally agree with you. This is the best of both groups. Fuki gets a chance to sing with a tight band that is playing in parts together, as opposed to over top of each other in a competitive mess. A marriage made in heaven.
Karakuri Town, Shout Down and Dragonet would be some of my favorite DB songs. Also if you want Fuki with some color in her hair 😄then you'd have to look into their High $pec EP era. This one is from their first album in which they more doll-like look, with H$ EP they changed both their music and appeareance to be more darker.

Thanks for the reaction EFC. The idol version of the band is a lot of fun, but the non-idols look killer. Brilliant contrast, always worth a smile.

The pink haired vocalist in Gacharic Spin is Angie, who was about 10 years old when this was recorded. I don't remember Fuki having pink hair, but who knows she tends to change hair and eye color a lot.This is basically the 2012 Gacharic Spin lineup with Fuki of (back then) Light Bringer and Unlucky Morpheus. The MV comes from a DVD (from 2014) where they basically made MV's for all tracks of their first, 2012, album (except for the final track which is a GS cover). The MV's form somewhat of a story and go into each other with the begin/endcards.
Fuki definitely has had pink hair quite recently, though not as bright as Angies.

Ok, well scratch my comment about her hair then :). I honestly also don't tend to look at that kind of stuff too much, so I probably missed it. But it's hard to look past it with Angie though with how bright pink it sometimes is.
You are the only reactor (I have seen) able to read the text in the video, I didn't know. Doll$boxx as a group existed in two periods: 2012-2013 where they made one LP (Doll's Apartment), and 2017-2018, with one EP (High Spec). Doll$boxx can be seen as the heavier alter ego of Gacharic Spin, playing hard rock and metal. In an old interview they said Gacharic Spin create the music and Fuki writes the lyrics (but maybe it's a little more involved).There is going to be a reunion this year with tour events in december. This ought to be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see them, if you want. I like: Merrily High Go Round, Shout Down.
I will definitely check out those concert dates and see if I can go!! Sounds like a great time.

This and Loud Twin Stars are my two favorite songs by DOLL$BOXX but every song on the album is pretty good.
I really prefer to have a singers voice synchronize with the song they are singing. Love your on-the-spot Japanese translations! BTW, I hope your studies are going well Shira! I would place my money on you in a fight anytime but I don't encourage such behavior. I want the prettiest woman in Japan to always stay that way🥰

Of the three bands, this is hands-down my favorite one. My favorite performer in this group is Hana. The way she can bang the drums at 90mph with her own style and then lay in perfect vocals is amazing. Lots of drummer sing, but to do that while playing with that level of intensity and to also deliver such perfect vocalization is absolutely unique.
Loud Twin Stars is their best song.

My fav song from Doll$Box is Shout Down, you will see Fuki with her smoky purple hair, very cool. The song is great too Gacharic Boxx at their best or try Forever from the Spin, great Math Rock
As a drummer the biceps make sense and her scream igoes with " dont want to mess with her". But she is still super cute with the glasses
