Great video! I just purchased a baby red tegu. So I see you live in Arizona, where humidity is nonexistent. I live in Vegas...also nonexistent with humidity, so I mist my temporary enclosure as well. My question is, should I keep its hide where its basking spot be, or should I have its hide in the more cooler side? I notice on the basking side, the humidity gets real low. Let me know what you think! 🙂

breeder male and female can be communal in cage? or single cage?
some will cohab, but i prefer to keep every gecko seperate because aggression can/has happened where females attack each other or males attack each other and get hurt really bad, or have died, so just my preference to single house.
I have a question. I just got a baby tegu and I have a question about humidity. All the research I have done says to keep his enclosure at 80%, so I got a mister and it's going off every few minutes to keep the humidity that high. His enclosure is constantly sopping wet and his food bowl keeps getting filled with water. Something doesn't seem right. I have done so much research on tegus and I have never seen an enclosure that wet. So is 80% humidity correct? It just doesn't see. Right?? Thank you so much in advance
So the whole enclosure doesnt need to be 80% as long as you dedicated 1 hide (on the warm side) that stays damp 24/7, ur good. Also place a large water bowl so they an take baths, for babies tho, make sure they can get out of the water bowl so they dont drown, nothing over neck high u know?

Did he discuss humidity and I just missed it?
If i did not mention it humidity def needs to be in one hide, I usually spray their humid hide once a day or 2 days if it dries out too quickly :)
At what age do you ship them out ?
I can ship as young as 3 2-3 weeks old if the gecko is looking solid :)
