Man, as much as I fully understand why, it sucks that Nighthaunt are inevitably going to be the target of such unbridled wrath from the nerf bat. The design philosophy behind their battle traits is so fun and makes me wish that GW had extended that philosophy to all the other armies who got half (or arguably a quarter in some cases) of a trait for theirs. Death Stalkers absolutely needs reining in, but I hope they look at this as an opportunity to build out the factions who need more identity rather than stripping it from those they nailed the feel of
Return of the King might have ruined me, but I feel like an army of ghosts SHOULD be a bit overpowered. At the very least they deserve their time in the sun after the last couple of years
So like I said before, "No core rules, we fightin' now." And I clocked that without ever having yet played a game, as I am still putting together my army of spookily boys (and girls). But I'm also with Heywoah at the end there: this just feels like what every army should be written like? Some of the most major abilities are lesser versions of things they could just DO in 3rd. Nerf 'em a little, sure, but maybe focus more on bringing everyone else up.

I agree 100% I miss 2nd edition because stuff was skewed but armies felt a bit more flavorful. Too many 4th ed armies are just fine.
I couldn't agree more! Make wveryone else Nighthaunt level cool, don't nerf Nighthaunt to boring.
