There are plenty of creators out there telling everyone about the technical aspects of Autism now (it seems), but there aren't as many people talking about the little daily bits that all of us deal with. I enjoy hearing what things you found helpful, or cozy, or nice, or just what is bringing you joy. I'm especially liking hearing how you are accommodating yourself and your sensory needs into your daily life, as you discover more about your authentic self. You are always honest and I appreciate you being real and vulnerable with us, Ella. I'm happy to keep watching whatever content you decide suits you

Agree. I love seeing neurodivergent happiness for once instead of the negative parts. (Tho it is important to share the bad aswell as the good)

Thank you, that's kind of what I'm feeling, like there is so much lifestyle content for allistic people, but not a lot that has an autistic angle so I want to make that

Thank you for all of your videos. I just found out about & subscribed to this channel while on my self-discovery journey. I'm 46 and have 2 children with autism. Just (finally) realized that I also am autistic (& add) but not diagnosed after years of researching autism for my 2 boys. Now I've been seeing content about late diagnosed autism in women and it REALLY helped put the pieces together. I love ALL your videos, whether they're about games, matcha, jellycats, or lifestyle/make up content. My favorite game is Farmville 3. I also love when you get really specific about autism and adhd. I even bought an entire matcha set to try after watching 1 of your videos lol. @PurpleElla

I really enjoyed this video. It felt like a friendly chat over a cuppa. You were one of the first neurodivergent creators I stumbled across when I began my own audhd diagnosis journey. And you are still one of my favourites. Please keep doing what you do and being you.

"and after that I became obsessed with getting a grey cardigan". All of the biggest yes! This happens to me a lot.
    Magpie effect (^_^)
And I very much love both kinds of fantasy you mentioned. Ghibli is amazing, but book wise I love things like Terry Brooks 💙💙💙

I also wanted to say Yes, do what you want on YOUR channel! Social media wants us to believe our worth is in follows and likes and views but IT'S NOT and success can look like many different things. ❤

I love your comment on plushies. Watched this video with a giant, super squishy Molang by Nici (big German plushy comoany) on my lap. My partner fell in love with it, too so they got their own for their birthday. So, yeah... plushies ❤❤. My cozy (not cozy) game at the moment is Cult of the Lamb on easy mode. And hail the algorithm 😅

I love seeing cozy games and clothes. I’m the guy who was putting ND on the road. I’m in Rishikesh India rn and two weeks ago I was in Kathmandu Nepal. I’m literally sat at the side of the Ganges which is my favourite place to sit. It is do peaceful here with people meditating or doing yoga on the steps down. Plus it is a free activity. I can just bring a bottle of water and sit peacefully. I can’t wait to get into meditation and yoga myself as this is the world centre for meditation and it is so good for self care. The Beatles came here in the sixties to learn transcendental meditation from the Maharishi Yogi. I’ve been to the, now abandoned, ashram and it is such a beautiful place. I should also get my act together and start a vlog.

I have been watching your channel a lot the last few months, basically towards the beginning of my own assessment. I was just diagnosed with both autism and ADHD this week, and your videos have been tremendously helpful already. Cozy things are also so important to me, so I very much appreciate content like this. It's also nice to see someone my own age talking about neurodivergent issues, since that is somewhat rare. Makes me feel it's never too late to learn new things, and especially about ourselves. Thanks for everything you do- I hope you continue to focus on subjects that interest you as chances are, they will be helpful to us all. ❤

Thank u for showing us ur cozy ways! I also have ASD and life sometimes is just too overwhelming so I think it’s very important neurodivergent people find cozy things that help them relax. Even the simplest of things like a game or a calming drink can rly help our mood throughout the day!💜

I really enjoyed listening to you talk about your comforting things, it feels homely/cozy and I watched while brushing my teeth as a self care thing after my stomach got irritated (I have stomach issues that mean I can't keep down much food, I suspect gastroparesis but awaiting gastroenterology appointment to discuss).

I love Coral Island! And wait, is it a ND thing to have a lot of cups going with different drinks? 😅 I'm usually carrying my ice water, cold brew coffee, and maybe later have a hot tea 🤣
Also I love plushies and comfy clothes and weighted blankets. My ideal day is probably staying home in comfy clothes, under the weighted blankets, with all my comfort items around me, my favorite drinks, and noise-cancelling headphones just happily stimming away 😁
My mom has like an 8 step korean skin care routine and I did 4 steps for a while but couldn't keep up the routine.

Ella some great Cozy games i've found for phone are:
Animal Crossing Pocket Camp - you suggested that one, and I've LOVED it!
Adorable Home - you have to look cats. You start with one and have to earn 'love' which is your currency, by doing things such as making food for your partner that he will enjoy, looking after your one cat, etc and you can use love to get more cats
Cat Forest - this is a new one I havent tried yet, I've just downloaded it today, but its very similar to Animal Crossing Pocket Camp. The only difference I'm pretty sure is that the animals are all cats.
By the way, these games are all 100% free with in-app purchases. Let me know what you think! I think you'll really like the Adorable Home one as it's very calming and relaxing and the vibes are AMAZING. BIG chef kiss on the vibes for that one!

I love urban fantasy, which is what you're describing. I'm not sure you'll love them but you might want to try out Charles de Lint; maybe get one of his books from the library; there's definitely an element of whimsy, but it's not about knights on swords with telepathic horses.

Love this! Would you ever consider doing let's play videos, where you film yourself playing games? I love cozy games as well, they are a special interest of mine. I love your videos and they make me comfy, so I would love to be able to watch along as you play games that make you comfy. At the same time, it sounds like you have been doing a lot of reflection as to what you want this channel to be in a way that makes sense for you, and I understand if cozy games are things you would like to keep just for you and not put that process online to an audience. But I would love to see you share about skincare, that is another special interest of mine that I became obsessed with a few years ago, and I love seeing people's routines and products.
Happy to hear you got your first manga and are enjoying it! I love manga and for your cozy cat inclinations, I would recommend some more: I Am A Cat Barista, The Masterful Cat is Depressed Again Today, Cat Massage Therapy. Also you mentioned you like Studio Ghibli-eque things, I cannot more highly recommend the manga and anime series Natsume's Book of Friends. It is the most visually pleasing, comforting, beautiful and heartfelt thing I have ever experienced- it is about a boy named Natsume who can see yokai (Japanese ghosts/spirits) and because of that, he has always been outcast from his peers and society. His parents died and he has been passed from relative to relative, until he finally is taken in by distant relatives who truly love and care for him. He encounters a cat that is a yokai who informs him that his grandmother saw spirits too, and she compiled their names in a Book of Friends. This cat becomes his guardian, and he helps solve problems for different yokai who seek his help, or otherwise get out of trouble from other kinds. There is always a heartwarming and tear jerking story/message to this series. The art style focuses on the quiet, smaller things in life and beautiful depictions of nature, similar to Studio Ghibli. It is so rewarding to see Natsume, this little trauma baby, be cared for and allowed to root in place and make meaningful relationships with those around him as well.

I'll do one better: I'll like AND comment! 😁
I had borrowed "Before the Coffee Gets Cold" from the library, but never got around to it, so I definitely want to borrow it again! (I'd buy it, but I just did a massive destash of books and am trying so hard not to ask for a glut of books for Christmas or go out and buy any... although I might ask for Chloe Hayden's book, even though a library copy should be on my way soon!) If you're looking for another translated-from-Japanese book, "How Do You Live?" by Genzaburō Yoshino was really good. It's aimed more at older children (about 12-14, I think), but I think any adult would enjoy it.

Runner on the spectrum here... wondering if you think it would be helpful to people if I made a video about my experiences with running and difficulties? I've run for 19 years, 30 marathons, almost feel like running is a meditative stim and routine. But I've never talked about it on my running channel. Should I just go for it?! I guess as I was late diagnosed (5 years ago) I'm still apprehensive / accepting it at times :-/

I think you have to do what you enjoy. I have a PeerTube instance, which I was close to saying, "nah, I'm not really making this work," then I ended up finding something new that I was enjoying, and it's resulting in me posting "public domain" movies (some are and some are more functionally so) with the intention of watching them "together" but with people being welcome to watch and comment as they wish. I am still feeling it is "cheating" for that being how I'm justifying running my own PeerTube instance, but with UA-cam suddenly becoming more reliably unreliable... I'm feeling even just having it to be able to watch what I want.
This is *not* trying to say do what I do. It's saying, find what you enjoy doing. I've never financially supported you (I wish I had felt I could justify it) but the worst I've felt about your content has been, "Nah, not into this, and I have way too much open right now, maybe next time."
