This movie is the best "Western Movie in my life". When I was a high school student, I have watched it thousand times. My favourite is the last scene, Clint Eastwood, Lee Van Cleef, and Gian Maria Volonte who are the most beautiful actors at that time are glaring at each other before shooting with Ennio Morricone's beautiful music. NO NEED ANY COMMENT ABOUT THIS. This movie is the best. Sorry for the fans of John Wayne and anti-Macaroni Western fans.

For a Few Dollars More...where the good guys turn out to be bad, and the bad guys even worse. This grisly tale smells like a sweaty armpit. The casting is excellent. Even the 2nd tier and the extras are complimentary. You could be watching a true story. The sets, the props, cinematography are exceptional. Finally, the music is without a doubt perfectly suited. This is a western done right by Italians.

Humour, tension, brilliant acting, Morricone's music using a tuba, the twitch, the itching to draw a pistol, absolute instinct in pulling a pistol and being stopped suddenly, the synchronised match scratching between Monco and Mortimer, the frightened barman ducking down, Monco smoking and smiling, the close ups of Indio's gang also powerless to deal with Mortimer's insulting affront, and all achieved without a single word of dialogue until the gang walk out. Gian Volante- so perfect for these roles. That face.
The humming and whistling at the start, where the rider is gunned down- I say it's Colonel Mortimer (Lee van Cleef) bringing down another wanted crim. He does this so well.
Awesome soundtrack from Ennio Morricone, as usual.
