I recorded the trilogy off the TV in the mid 80s, bought the VHS box set in 1989, the DVD box set in 2006. I have watched this film hundreds of times and The Good, The Bad And The Ugly well over a thousand times. These films never get old. The music and the cinematography transport you to a fantastical reality. True masterpieces.

Watched this movie when I was a kid, after fifty years it's still one of my favorite western movies of all time. The two bounty hunters in Clint Eastwood (still my favorite actors of all time) and Lee Van Cleef were awesome, El Indio must be given credit for his masterpiece performance as the villain. We don't have this kind of film making today. Hollywood has gotten out of wack.

Even the 2nd tier and the extras are complimentary. You could be watching a true story. The sets, the props, cinematography are exceptional. Finally, the music is without a doubt perfectly suited. NO-ONE else got the reference, apart from a couple also from Dublin. We ended up getting (yes, buying) a DVD of Dollars More and watched it on board the next day - BRILLIANT!
