It was a great time to be on God's earth. I worked in the SF Valley in Burbank for Lockheed from 78 till 22. A lot of the outdoor shots were made in that area. Life was good then. Please let the new president make America great again.
Yes, things were great back then -- I remember all of them -- including the beautiful Terri Garr. Best take away is this: Try to see things as they are now as Great also! Look at the world Today! Has there ever been a reason to be more optimistic? The World -- it is a-changin'!! (For the Better!!) Let's all change for the better too -- and Thank God that we still can!!
Old but really not that old a movie (1977) yet so many stars in this movie has passed. John Denver, George Burns, Carl Reiner, Teri Garr, Donald Pleasence, Paul Sorvino, and many other cast members - thanks for the memory and RIP 🙏
@@Woodman-Spare-that-treea depressing thought you say that life is so short. So why are you thinking that thought ? Especially when all the sages and saints tell you the opposite,...is true.
When my mother and father died within ten days of each other in June 1991, I was taking a shower the morning after I heard my father died and I all of a sudden couldn't move and was scared and I told myself, if I would just do something natural I would be ok. I started washing with my soap and I was able to get back into reality again and function. In this movie God basically gave that direction to John Denver when shaving. Somehow I must have subconsciously remembered that in the shower. By the way, God has kept me sober one day at a time, since November 5, 1992. I believe in miracles and Gods grace and mercy. 🙏 Remain grateful every day.
Folks took us to see this as a kid in the theaters. I did not understand it one bit, just that I liked watching George Burns talk in his funny voice with big round glasses, lol!
If someone has now watched this for the first time and wishes there was more of it, they actually made two sequels. Oh, God! Book II (1980) and Oh, God! You Devil (1984) are also very entertaining!
I'm glad more folks are discovering & enjoying this surprisingly funny, smart, good old movie with it's unexpectedly great cast, & especially "Johnny ;D" munchin' Fritos at work! 📽️🤩👍
Love John Denver my absolute favourite, inspired me! and I love this movie! It had such a wonderful message, and it was so cleverly and comedically written! Wish Hollywood let him in more movies! ❤ What a legend he is
Our God indeed is a covenant keeping God. Has he said a thing and not perform it? I watch how things unfold in my life, from penury to $182,500 every month and I can only praise him and trust him more. Hallelujah🙌🏻❤️🇺🇸

I've always wanted to be involved for a long time but the volatility in the price has been very confusing to me. Although I have watched a lot of UA-cam videos about it but I still find it hard to understand
1977 is when I graduated high school. I was 18. Now I'm 66 in 2025. Where did all the decades go? It's one of my favorite movies. RIP George Burns and John Denver.
Wowwww in 17:43 minutes I already pushed the like button on 🎉 🤩😍 so I have to watch it, okay I will come over and I will make a comment about it, thanks 🙏🙏🙏
IT was an amazing story so thanks a lot for sharing this wonderful movie 🎥🍿🍿🍿 well WE DON'T HAVE TO SEE OR HEAR HIS 🙏💖 VOICE TO BELIEVE IN OUR LOVELY FATHER IN HEAVEN AMEN 🙌🙏💖
Dear Warner Brothers, We're not asking much but it would be very nice to see you release some of your great classic movies on your UA-cam channel like 2001: A Space Odyssey The Treasure of the Sierra Madre Once Upon a Time in the West Badlands Ben-Hur (1959)
George was born in 1896 he wrote a book how to become 💯. He died in 1996..... John died in 1997 in the plane crash 🫣 And Terry in 2024😓🙏⚖️🎬 Watched this one in the pictures in 77,,, the same year they murdered Elvis 🙏😇😥 Bless all their SOULS 😍🤩🙏
Many people know Paul Sorvino as "Paulie" in Goodfellas. My first thought of Paul Sorvino is as "Reverend Big Mouth" in Oh God. This is a moderate-budget movie with no special effects, no guns, no profanity, no sex, no nudity, and with its subject matter, does not push religion or God onto the audience. Everything is up to us, and it's up to us to make things work. This movie could be easily be converted into Broadway play.
Good One...! Liked looking at all the cars in the parking lots. Once wanted to buy a Pacer, that had been turned into a truck. Dealership wouldn't sell it to me though.
"Oh, God !" - A fantastic movie. I saw this movie in the late 70s and it was something of a new concept that God meets a human. And He wanted that His work He assigns gets done by a person chosen by Him ! I saw this movie a few times more and enjoyed thoroughly. Then later on, there have been movies like, "Bruce Almighty" and "Evan Almighty' where God meets persons.
The book this movie is based on is great and greatly funny! I read it about 50 years ago, I laughed out loud as I read it. The movie is very enjoyable also.
God is very well portrayed, he says I don't preach religion from the pulpit but I leave a human to choose on his own, he brings suffering himself because his choices are wrong. He gets pain by his own preference. He advises against established religion proselytising.
Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior Son of the living God. Repent and believe the gospel of Christ Jesus who is the Word of God that came in the flesh and dwelt among us.
I feel in this & in life the worst is when those "beloved" dont support our "stand" and its quite ironic that the wife (Teri Garr) reacts in that way in a similar role in the film (also in 1977) "close encounters" ... this film highlights the negative which IS much much WORSE TODAY! ... & if "GOD" came out now, would get battered on "social media" not even a mention on the MSM!
I don't know who decided to start uploading all these classic movies and cartoons, but whoever it was deserves a promotion.
It was God!

its so messed up im61 and every ones dead in the movies i grew up with its hard sometimes we are nothing , seconds on the big scheme of things
John was such a sweet soul. I remember being so sad when he died so young and so tragically. 😢
