I just went out and bought the AMP12. Having used the rush24 for the last 5 years as an EDC/range/hiking bag. I can say without a doubt that the AMP12 has just as many uses as the rush 24. With the extra versatility of the AMP12 it seems to me that the value is definitely worth it. That being said my only gripe about the AMP is that there is no side molle for attaching molle or extra pouches for carrying water bottles or other gear that you want available without completely removing the bag.
Not watched the video yet but glad you looked at this product. Friend of mine was showing off photos of the Amp12 yesterday on social media and this range has gone right under my radar till yesterday.
I was recently looking to purchase the rush24 but decided to email 5.11 directly with a list of the 3 bags I need replaced and the different uses with a list of items I carry. They reconmended the Rush series and the AMP... to me the AMP aestheticly looks way better for an EDC, especially when I'm going to the office. The other use I have for the bag is a diaper bag. And they sent me pics of how their attachments can double up as a extended diaper bag. I was about to order the bag when their site told me they don't ship to Singapore :( ... so now I'm waiting to hear back from them on how I could get the bag. The local stores only have the Rush Series..
What impressive to me is the MSRP of the AMP bag series in US ! ! ! In france price is 160euros for the AMP 12 for example but the wages doesn't high like in US (1600 euros net is for a lot french people the months wages !!!)
Can you do an instruction video on how to properly fit the AMP vest with a backpack? I got a front chest pouch, vest, and backpack (12) but I don't know if I have it all cinched right. Any help with that?
could you please tell me what was the bag on the right side of the plate carrier and what pouches where you rocking on it ? I loved how you configure it and I want to get the same config. I would really appreciate if you let me know! btw, love your videos! subscribed.
I saw these packs at Shot Show. They are great but not great enough to make me want to switch from my Rush 12’s or 24. Plate carrier and pull strap in your video was a great demonstration 👊🏻
I've written off Osprey and 5.11 as brands I will even consider. Too many bottom seam and shoulder strap problems. But.... GREAT video nonetheless. Keep up the good work.
@@sogeking9395 Interesting. I've got two different 5.11 packs for car/bugout kits and have had zero problems with straps or seams. I've had the same bags for several years now.
You're kidding your self, that hex pattern is a joke, it's pathetic and weak, when you mount something you want it to be strong and snug against the pack/vest and have no wiggle room, the hex pattern is a poor design and gear flops off it and is an inferior product, it will come and go, traditional patterns will live on, hence why they keep selling and this gimmicky crap won't last. Your excitement surrounding the inside and outside water bottle clearly indicates to me you haven't thought about it very well, the whole point of water bottle carriers is that they're on the outside and extend out from the pack, 1- for quick access and 2- to not take up room in the pack. With this pack both the inside and outside "bottle holders" protrude into the pack taking up important real estate. Both that pack and plate carrier can't holder a candle to a Rush pack or the previous plate carrier.
I fell in love with the fit of the AMP24 at SHOT show last year. I purchase as soon as I could at the local store. I agree with the Hex grid comment, it should have more bar tacks every few grids like the Maxpedition Atlas system did. But the bottle holders inside are a great idea. Yes it takes real estate but it was a good enough idea that even Triple Aught Design copied that style for their new version of FAST Packs. Overall I love my pack, downside is the hex grid. Upside is that it is removable with gear sets and other hook/loop accessories from other companies
Great teaser! Always love your videos!!! U along with about 3 other Channels finally motivated me to get off my butt and start my channel. Most of my hunting gear is 5.11 (24 and 72 hour RUSH packs and pouches) . It will last forever! If u have time I’d love for u to check out my channel -I only have one video up- but since it will be outdoor tips tricks hacks etc we probably share the same audience. Thus why I’d love to know what u think or if you have any pointers.
Got the 511 sling bag for a get home bag works great than I got 511 biggest 50 liter bag which was a a little big along with a $250 Duluth which is a beautiful woodsman bag but bugging out without a little MOLLE and strapping cuts in half what you can carry so next I’m gonna go for what I wanted all along a vasque bag around 40 liters no more maybe a little less but with straps and lots of pockets built great pricey but I’m anal and have to make a decision before I run out of family to give my other bags to.I almost forgot no matter the bag it’s always accompanied by my hidden woodsman haversack great piece of gear especially if u wanna scout something out and don’t wanna carry that 35 pounds bag just take the haversack and leave the bag at camp with friends great video love bags watches pens flashlights gadgets good boots and clothes and of course my favorite knives or anything with a blade that was made well and fits in somewhere with my setup 👍👍👍😘😘😘😘🥰🥺🤮😈
Thanks for doing a lite version of the amp review. I own several 5.11 packs and enjoyed seeing what they are doing with their new packs,
Please bring the analysis of the new AMP 10 send a hello to Brazil.
Is the value of the AMP worth it compared to the value of the Rush series? This seems to be a good piece of information that was not explained.

Hey man, I'm gonna be using a AMP 24 for a diaper bag as well. I was wondering if you could send me what they sent you in reference to that?

I saw some videos mentioned about the computer compartment has a stiff back. How’s is that feel on your back for a long day, let’s say for a hiking.
Very Cool products from 5:11 Tactical. Thanks for showing thesis Sir. I really like their backpacks

If you play the video at half the speed, Aaron sounds really drunk lol.
Thanks for pointing that out made me laugh :)
Can you attach a sleeping pad/roll to it?

Cody Evans What brands do you lean towards?
Deuter,Vanquest, and REI Trail25/40 series. Latter are two great packs for new hikers or people putting together car kits or bugouts.

Hard to exited about backpacks.
300% markup, made in Bangladesh/Vietnam/China - No regular Law Enforcement/Military discount in store. Great video! Horrible brand.
When I watch a video on a product I want to see the product in the video. Not the narrator.
