I own this bag in black and been using it as my work bag for about 5 months now and I can attest it's an amazing backpack, especially if you live by the greyman philosophy. It's very spacious and easy on the back for long term use. Overall, probably one of the best, if not, the best backpack I've ever owned tbh. Highly recommend it!
I have this bag and it is really great. The harness system is very comfortable. One thing missing are compression straps, two on both sides. That would pretty much make this one of the best all-rounder edc bags of all time.
Luke over at the Outdoor Gear Review released a video yesterday detailing 5.11s future commitment to bettering their customer service performance which is worth checking out too. Great review as always Aaron, hope you're keeping well brother.
I bought this bag to replace the 5.11 boxpack which I used for a few years(still in very good shape). Most everything is an improvement but the one thing with the dart24 is the shoulder straps. The yoke system on the boxpack felt more comfortable because the weight was closer to the body. With the dart24 the weight comes off the body more, which feels awkward and shifts the weight more lower on the body. I walk about 3.5 miles to and from work and it's noticeable difference but I keep the bag
It amazed me that the 5.11 removed almost all tactical traits and looks in the Dart 24, one may have difficulty recognizing its brand in the first place as the general stereotype of 5.11 bags is Molle exterior and militaristic color scheme, all in all the Dart is another series of bags well designed and I suppose they still sport the unbeatable durability of the Rush series.
I love this bag. I've using one for 4 years, and it is still good. But... The shoulder straps are not fixed. They move, and that is the only fault of the backpack. If you use on only one shoulder, the pack will slide and fall, what forces you to use both straps at the same time AND to clip the shoulder strap. That is what I would change.
Thanks for the review on this pack.. I've been eyeballing this thing for a minute and I was really hesitant on pulling the trigger on this bag but today I was down at the 511 store in Littleton and they are having a 70% sale on certain items and I was able to pick up this pack for 50 bucks... The only thing is they only had it in the gray which I wasn't sure about it but now that I have had it in my hands I actually really like the color. Keep the reviews coming 👍🏽👍🏽
I really liked it until i saw there are no side compression straps, no bladder tube hole and the way the shoulder straps are connected. One day i will find the perfect EDC/day hike pack
Shame I just recently bought a similar style backpack (under armour). Don't like to over collect bags and stuff..., but this pack seems close to perfect. Might 'have to' get... Thanks for good review.
Nice pack! 👍 Gotta love the "butt wipes"! Hahahaha! 🤣 But kidding aside, I like the detachable admin/laptop panel... Being so much of an OCD, I like packs that are simple, yet has organizational capabilities... I might consider this to alternate with my 5.11 Tactical AMP 24...
Glad you showed this ! With some compressionstraps, neded because compression keeps a pack silent (!!!) and a few Molle-point on the outside for a couple of pouched, I would buy it for my son, right a way.
Been $80 on the 5.11 site for a while now. Love my pack so much! Wish the heather grey was 420D and not 300D Nylon, but it's held up pretty well so far. Also love the option for a hip belt, but bummed 5.11 doesn't have any hip belts that I know of... only regular belts.
The yoke system is for a dedicated backpack. The articulating nature of these straps allow for sling bag carry and facilitates the easy access to the concealed carry pocket.
Great review as usual. I am always looking forward to your next review. Do you have any thoughts on the 5.11 LV18 or do you plan to review. At first glance being divided the compartments look smaller. Thanks for all the great videos and do you have a website?
I see a lot of similarities to their Covert box pack that they had some years ago, but this is something I would be much more likely to carry. Great review as always!
Did 5 11 discontinue this pack cannot find it on the website. The have one now called" the dart pack" that dosnt look as good as this or maybe its version 2.

Bought this 2 1/2 years ago and have carried mine daily. 100% excellent pack

Much prefer this over the Covrt series. Cheers for the great review as always.
Bayley Anderson I agree !!
I really liked it until i saw there are no side compression straps, no bladder tube hole and the way the shoulder straps are connected. One day i will find the perfect EDC/day hike pack
Note when it’s not full, the top part can be folded over the front and act as compression straps.
WOW! looks like 5.11 really stepped up their grayman gear. I really like the look of this pack.
Element Bushcraft and Survival for sure!
You should get some gayman gear
@@hambo1147 ok. I subscribed to your channel so I can see what that is.

Wow, well thought out pack. Looks like it would work for my EDC bag. Thanks for letting us know about this one.
Thanks for the great video, Looking forward to the GT Show! The behind the scenes was a good one
I like the Helikon Tex Summit a bit more, but this thing is really sweet as a low profile option!
This has way more organisation tho!
Glad you showed this !

can it resist a heavy rain situation? and I mean heavy rain, like if someone is shooting with a water hose at you
Not sure 🤔

Would you pick this over the Gamut?
Great review. Shows all aspects of these bags that I have questions about before buying. Keep up the good work.
Nice piece of gear. Some of the features from this model would be great for AMP series backpacks.
Always like how you present a new product honostly.
To bad it doesnt have the yoke system like the rush 24 and 72.
The yoke system is for a dedicated backpack. The articulating nature of these straps allow for sling bag carry and facilitates the easy access to the concealed carry pocket.
Hey man! Good morning, glad to see a new vid from ya!!💰
Got mine for urban "picnics." Couldn't make it work. The main compartment is top-loading only, limiting access severely.
is that the 48 ounce? Love mine, hardly ever see them on anyone anymore

Very Cool 5.11 tactical backpack Aaron.
have any idea where can i find one dart 24, Gideon?
5.11 don’t produce anymore
What bag are you currently using?
I see a lot of similarities to their Covert box pack that they had some years ago, but this is something I would be much more likely to carry. Great review as always!
Darth Croll nice brother! I would agree with you
I like this one a lot. I found a smaller version on their website that would work for me. Just not as many features.
THE_OG_MP ya, no water bottle holders was a downer on the smaller version
What pattern/camo netting you have in the background?
Great review 👍🏽👍🏽 just wish this pack had some side compression.
Hey, you said in the video that the Inside of the Pack Yellow is. But in the Video it seems green. So is it Yellow or did you twist the words?
The two front pockets were confusing. Are they one big pocket or two separate pockets?
Two separate pockets not the same one
I was looking at getting a hpg backpack but shipping to Australia is a Killer, might consider this instead
EdgyGrimDark try LeGear I shop there all the time I just saw them in stock
bladder tube ports aren't right under where the grab handle connects on both sides?
Randy Yeager nope, like I side looked everywhere and doesn’t seem to have them.
@@gideonstactical just find it weird they wouldn't have them...
Randy Yeager agreed
Thank you. Nice review of the features.
Please make a video for the 511 LV18 backpack!
What is that organizer you’ve got your iPad in?
Brian Samonas rough enough 13.1” laptop organizater
@@gideonstactical avez-vous une référence please ?
Wow really amazing looking backpack reviews,
Did 5 11 discontinue this pack cannot find it on the website. The have one now called" the dart pack" that dosnt look as good as this or maybe its version 2.
check field supply dot com. they have them for $40 atm
Thinking about using this for a GoRuck event. Do you think the laptop sleeve would accommodate a weight plate? Thanks for the review.
why is it so hard to get this in the uk?!?!
Thx, great review!
Nice bag... and a good price.
People are way over using the "greyman" BS. Nobody cares what you are carrying except you. Seriously. Carry what you like.
Saw Dart 24, my brain immediately translated that to DD214....
Thanks
Like that it doesn't look tactical awesome
I did a review on this pack as well. Great pack, just needs load lifters.
Did the Amp model replace this Model ?
maybe this one is better than the mystery ranch urban assualt
I have a 24 hour watch
Heard you say 420 nylon? No way
Found it on sale $38 with tax
Got one for 35.65 otd on field supply
This things a ton for what it is.
can I use my Hill people gear prayry belt with this pack?
No won't work
Who uses a water bladder anymore anyway
I think 5.11 keeps sending their new products to you free after your bitter review on one of their bags-Ignitor pack I believe..
I spent my own money on this pack. Paid $120 at my local store for it.
