People dont realize that graphical fidelity is the main thing bloating dev time and cost for games. When games choose a more stylized low poly look, like this or valheim, they can pack so much awesomeness into a small package even with a relatively tiny dev team.
Close, but not exact. Yes, stylised graphics that are simple do help FPS and such. But the main bloat is bug fixes. With every launch, every patch, every update comes a multitude of bugs that may or may not have been seen. Even simply-styled games such as BattleBit may have problems with bugs, as the devs will know. :)

@@ATM_Jack squad is a nerd snorefest
@Keepone974 the animations look clean in this game, wdym?
@@ATM_Jack exacly why I didnt like playing it, its just imo a weird bash of extra realism elements in an 8bit enviro which is just really strange. Youd expect this game to not be as serious as in having to manually rechamber your bolt, bandage to stop bleeding or even the ridiculously low TTK combined with the high player count, I just stick to BF4 or squad.
dice just got "diced" by this marvelous fun game!!
3 guys deliver one of the most funniest og BF experiences so far!!
This is one of the most unique and organically fun games out there right now. The gameplay and friendly/enemy VOIP is also such a fun layer tin the game. The dev team is so incredibly talented and have done great things with this game and I couldn’t recommend it enough!
Bought the second I could. What a fantastic game from a dev team that really listens to what people want. Made by gamers for gamers, who would’ve thought that would be a successful concept
Been part of this game since the 3am 30 min playtests! Hopefully you covering this game will expose it to a lot of people!! This game deserves everything it gets SgtOkiDoki has done amazing!!!❤
This looks like it plays great.
I like the aesthetic of the graphics actually, focused on gameplay and fun rather than using all their time rendering a leaf nobody notices.
Jack, more please, this game is so good.
Gameplay is always better than graphics, i think a lot of modern games forget this all time. This game looks genuinly fun
Oh, also, yes, I'd watch more of this. Actually looks like a great game, mechanically-speaking
0:56 I love this part. Love how you just drive through the line of fire and no one was firing at you. It reminds me of a Call of Duty scene.
Bystander effect at its finest lol.
it's brilliant and so fun. In my 30 years of gaming this just keeps it simple and wonderful.
When I first saw the video title I thought no way would this be enjoyable to watch let alone playing it but after watching the video I might get it. Looks like such a laugh to play. I'm a lifelong Battlefield fan
Glad to see you covering this! I have played every playtest. It’s so much fun. 😂
Some of the most fun I've had in a game in a LONNNNG time. This is going to blow up.
The coolest thing I see in this game is that it's hardware friendly to pretty much anyone that has a PC. The player count could be massive and from the looks it runs really well! Amazing 3 people made this game. I might give it a try myself!
The fact that hit detection on this game appears to be better than Battlefield 2042 is astounding
This game is awesome! Scratches that lingering Battlefield 3 / 4 itch I've been having so long
You should try 2042 now that it's fixed. Much closer to BF4 than this game is. Not anything against this game it just doesn't play like BF.
Get on 2042! It's good.
There's a cream for that...
This indie game made by 3 devs lets you manual Lean but 2042, a AAA title still hasn't figured it out yet and at this rate probably never will.
Definitely play more of this, great video Jack!
I'm totally gonna pick up a copy of this for myself and my sister, this game has been on my radar for a little while along with some other games trying to get that Battlefield feel. It looks like this game does the job. Let's GO!
The battlefield we wanted and never got
We have it now.
Speak for yourself. Whatever wrongs there are in BF 2042, it's much better than this overrated Fortnitefield looking crap.
I wish this was Steam Deck verified man, such a great and fun game. Community, even though is competitive and can swear every now and then, they're actually quite nice people.
Heck yeah Jack I hope you have a good day man good to see you uploading again I would love to see you stream again
I would TOTALLY love longer videos of Battle Bit! I play it as well and this game is LOADS of fun! :D
What do you mean how is it possible? They did this on PS3 in like 2008. MAG is still the best FPS I've ever played, may it rest in peace.
I think the title of the video is referring to the fact that its made by 3 people, on a relatively tiny budget?
@@HotdogNoire probably. I'm just bitter that we never got a MAG 2. Imagine a modern version, crossplay, free to play (we can take the Valorant approach with expensive cosmetics), on modern hardware with modern graphics and engine capabilities. The perfect FPS.
@@Hoserzzz Ngl that does sound pretty perfect.
I would be down to sink a few thousand hours into that if it ever became a thing lmao
@HotdogNoire MAG is the only game that even came close to rivaling my play time in Oldschool Runescape, as a semi-casual FPS.
started playing this while D4 was down, OMFG IT IS SO MUCH FUN! I love it!
Finally the bf game I can afford
I've been wanting a game like this for ages now: low-poly, minimalistic graphics and textures, Battlefield-like gameplay. If I was a game developer I swear I would have made something like this myself. Game companies need to start focusing on gameplay rather than graphics, especially because a vast majority of people can't even run these modern games. I'm definitely buying BattleBit for my potato PC!
Great content, Jack. Would love to see more of this game on your channel ❤
3 dudes created a game that has more feautures than 2 bf games in a row.
This looks like a whole lot of fun. The 3 guys that made this?¡ that's crazy 😮. Please play some more of this and unlock some stuff please jack. And squad up with the boys
"How's this game possible?"
That's what you get when the devs know what they're doing. They understand what they're capable of, and what the engine they build the game in is capable of.
Would definitely love to see more of this on different maps
Reminds me of MAG on PS3. But now all of a sudden it's How is this game possible lmao
Very excited to see you play this on a livestream game feels like 2014 good days
This map you’re on is the brand new map too! It’s so good.
I went into the video thinking you definitely will blame Dice for something and it only took until 0:54 😂
some awesome unturned gameplay from jackfrags, good stuff!
That's quite a game right there. Looks like it may be the best BF game since BF4 (post patches)
Anyone remember MAG for the ps3? One of the best games I’ve played. Wish they remade that game for the next generation, but I’m glad other devs are trying to do the same thing and improve on the idea too!! Can’t wait for the full game 💪🏼
Been playing for about a week now, absolutely love this game.
Real battlefield in 2023
Despite this game looking like Minecraft/Roblox, I actually enjoyed watching it. Please post more!
Now that I have some time in the game with friends. There is no better large scale military game.
This really have the same energy as Holdfast. People just having fun and vibing within the carnage.
This game wasn't released _out_ of early access, but _into_ early access, as previously it only had occasional play tests.
This is first game that could actually save me from my BF2042 addiction. Definitely scratches that Battlefield itch in a way that other games have desperately tried to.
The fact that they are blocky little men somehow makes this seem even more gritty. You know? I love this.
when you revived Jesus and said "didn't this already happen" I literally began cracking up. Your monologues are simply amazing regardless of what game you're playing.
