Exactly, I don't care about the 8 polygons characters, the game is ultimately fun (like games are meant to be). You can tell it was made with passion and dedication. There might not be a whole lot, but each and every pixel in that game was made with love. AAA companies might never be able to replicate indie games in that way, but I know they can do great stuff because I've played Bungie's Halo games. Little Big Planet and so on. We just need people like these 3 at the head of a studio that isn't told "Focus on the in game Shop, produce X amount of $60 DLC, meet the media's criteria.
I mean, have you noticed there's zero female in Battlebit? No one gives a damn cuz that is NOT what gamers care about, but somehow these very futile subjects take more place at the board of AAA companies than rather or not the game is good and polished. Because while Microsoft is looking to hire someone to make the most f'd up addictive cash grab, we got these guys making sure the gameplay feels satisfying.

I played the play test a while before the full release, these few weeks were the most fun I’ve had in an FPS since a long time man.
Everybody’s (save for some people) just focused on having fun and not on winning or losing.
When you die in this game it makes you go “aw shucks, I died.” Instead of having to take out your rage on your keyboard, and that’s because the experience itself is fun!
Nobody really criticizes you for being bad at the game, because they’re just so absorbed in the fun. And for some reason this game makes healing people fun, after a while you start healing anybody you see even if you’re not a medic.
Although I can’t afford to buy the game due to certain circumstances I have, maybe someday I can, hopefully. But, for now, it is what it is and I still hope that the community never changes.

Enemies being able to listen to you is SO cool
I was playing in some rainy field map in a 200+ player match, and as I told a teammate at a nearly empty objective that I would be going up this building, I readied my grappling hook to go to the top of the building from the outside, while the teammate started running up the stairs... and got killed by this guy who ambushed him at the stairs as he heard me talking. This enemy guy then shouted, quoting Captain Nascimento in the Brazilian movie Elite Squad in words and tone: "nobody's going up"
At this point I was at the top of the building, and I struggled to keep quiet after I heard him, and finally snuck into the stairs tower, catching him from behind with my pistol (I was a sniper) as he built some sandbags, and maniacally laughing at this point. In the midst of laughter I said "what did you say again?" and he laughed his ass off "c'mon, man, I had no idea you'd be coming _down_ towards me", I couldn't stop laughing HAHAHAHAH

This'll sound weird, but this game gives me the vibes of Battlefield 2 - remember back to BF2 and the raw excitement that game had that was somehow never quite the same in the following BF games. I truly think that the constant striving for 'realism' took the balance the other way and spoiled things a bit. The frenetic energy of this game is far more welcome.

I played the stress tests a lot, and the developers communicated a lot with us on discord, we have a big Brazilian Clan they always said hi and asked our opinion, they said it was too complicated to add momentums to the heli, I thought he would have fixed it by now. but anyway the game is a lot of fun.
And the developers really care about the quality and opinion of the players. and he only launched the server with such quality because it was something he really wanted, it took many weeks of stress testing to launch.

It's very manageable considering there's so many players on a server. Just amazing to see games like this succeed, first Valheim and now Battlebit.
