Let's face it, you'll make anything sound good with this playing. Joy to watch/listen to!
Another episode of “Jay’s hands make everything sound great.” Never disappoints even with all that treblele. Powerful little device too.
I wish all my amps had a Treblele knob 😀
@@JayLeonardJ hi Jay, i remember that you tried the micro mustang also...which one has more realistic sound? You have much more experience than me... The Nux sometimes seems to much digital...
Thanks 👍
Thank you so much
What do you need to play it through speakers or your computer speakers the way you are?@@JayLeonardJ
Nice! I really like how clear and concise you presented this. Gotta hit that sub button!
Thanks so much :)
You play that guitar bro so goood....I watched this to hear tone of this little NUX piece...but I was really supprissed with your guitar playing.
Great demo and playing!
Great review man. Great playing too.
Very detailed demo of this device's features, enjoyed the excellent and not "over played" groove examples you played. Some guys get carried away jamming during the demo. LOL
Thanks for your efforts
Thanks :)
A good player can play anything :-) good demo!
Thanks for the review of the Mighty Plug Pro. I bought the Mighty Plug II and the Mighty Air and ended up using the Mighty Air as my main practice Amp. The Pro might come handy if I use it plug straight into the computer DAW.
You´re awesome 👏👏👏👏came for the Nux Mighty Plug pro and stay for your skills. OMG!!! You rock...
Thanks so much
Nice Job. I just ordered on.
Awesome!!!! You really killed it at 10:38 - 12:06 !!!
The legend himself!!! Great track :) 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Sorry for the noob question. What do I type into Spotify to get a playlist with more music like this? Thanks in advance.
It is not fair at all being this good:)
Got this after having a fender mustang micro and I couldn't be happier
Dang bro, your playing is fire 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks
Good Lord, Dude, you improvise like Guthrie Govan. Amazingly good!
What a BEAST! 10/10
Thanks!
Wow! You are one
Super talented player.
Thank you very much!
You’re one helluva player 👍
Thanks :)
You are one talented mother! Haha Thanks for the post!
Reallpy appreciate it!
Hi, thanks a lot for your demo,
I was impressed by your kinda machine gun strumming from 5:40 to 5:54, how do you do that please ?
Great demo! Can i record with the app too?
when the tutorial man can absolutely shred! 😅
I own it and love it.
Is one of the effects it can do the same as a ProCo Rat or a Fulltone OCD? Can never tell with the weird names these companies come up with.
The tones in this vid sound a lot better than the vids I saw of the first Mighty Plug. Definitely considering this over the Mustang Micro.
Thanks sounds great! 2 questions for anyone, will it take pedals like the fender mustang micro & could I then go direct to a PA for ampless gigs?
Holy shit man! Should have kept going. That was great!!!
🤘🤘
Thanks!
Wow.. great demo .. does it have a wah preset ..?
Man, JLJ is just a phenomenal guitar player. He reminds me of all the best guitar players Steely Dan ever had rolled into one. I come here more for the playing, but this little thing does seem handy. I have a Valeton Rushead Max that I swear by - sort of a cheap multi thing that excels at reverb and tremolo. This thing is a bit pricey for me. If I'm gonna drop that kinda cash I'd rather get a Verb o Trem or a Hydra for slightly more.
Haha, I'll take that complement any day :)
Thanks!
I really appreciate it! Thanks so much :)
Update, I picked up the NUX and absolutely DIG it!!!
tell NUX to pay you some advertising fees...
WOW! Good job on the demo.
As a working musician I have purchased so many of these little silent plug types (around 15 or more) and in every case I have been disappointed, save for the use of the VOX amplug 2 which I have used for twenty years. All I (or many of my other band mates) need is something that stands alone, without all the other connecting tech devices, that is...easy to use and with a great sound, lots of great effects and plenty of good drum tracks. Otherwise it just winds up in the "I got suckered into buying this POC", mistake box in my closet never to be used again. I preface that to say this, based on this and many other vids, I will most likely purchase this item and give it a whirl. Peace
I also have a drawer full of Amplugs. 3x VOX, 2x Blackstar and some noname. . . then Zoom G1, Zoom G1 four, Amoon multieffect, etc. And I play live concerts on analog stompboxes and Roland Cube 80XL or Laney CUB 2x12. Then I have about 50 different guitar effects, mostly also in a drawer :-) and once in a while I go to see what's there :-) I buy toys regularly :-)
I bought one last week and can't leave it behind.
Just a question, does this plug means that all those transistor amps have become useless?
awesome ..can i connect it to my laptop how to connect and get sound ..Tks
DUDE, the solo @ 8:15 is CRAZYYY ❤😅
Thanks so much!
If I have a tablet and the app setup, can I like watch a UA-cam video to play along or will it shut off.
So it seems once you get a few presets you like set, you could use this mostly without the app like the Mustang Micro. You still have volume and preset/amp changes directly on the device, you just lose the small EQ and effects changes the Mustang Micro can edit on the fly in exchange for much deeper editing of those when the app is connected (plus with the EQ at least, you can adjust that with your tone knobs).
For someone who uses limited effects like myself, do you think the Mighty Plug Pro could replace a cheap multi-effects pedal? Is the recording quality similar to what one might have with something like the MG300 or my current Digitech RP255? Also would it be possible to run the headphone out into an amp for the effects, with the amp and cab sim turned off? Or somehow use either the headphone or USB-C direct to PA in place of an XLR? Thanks!
Yes it can replace a cheap multi effects pedal. Yes you can run a line out to an amp or powered speakers using the Mighty Plug's headphone socket. It sounds great when I plug it in to the line in on my Blackstar amp.
on my mp-3 there's a high pitched whine when the processing is engaged. it's faint, but i think a firmware update is needed to make it go away. volumes on defaults are all over, and noon is not unity in general. otherwise I am very pleased with the unit. i tried the usb audio and the dry-in works well. will try out the reamp setting next.
I noticed that faint high pitched sound on mine as well (I even mentioned that in my Patreon review). Since it is static and unaffected by volume changes. I got around it by making keeping my presets on the higher end of things to drown it out.
I have the Fender Mustang Micro and it’s awesome, but there’s an insanely annoying noise gate that is really distracting. If you hit a note and let it sustain for even a second, there’s a bit of hiss that’s just stopped with an aggressive noise gate. Might have to check this one out.
The noise gate is on the Mustang micro or this Nux?
how does it compares with the Fender Mustang Micro, in terms of tones?
Is it good enough for small venue live performance?
Got the Pro today, everything works but the Backing Tracks, no sound when connected by Bluetooth to my iPad
Is it possible to plug a Bluetooth transmitter into the headphone Jack of the Mighty Plug and then connect to a Bluetooth speaker?
Please tell me what android "video call" apps works with Nux Mighty plug pro (Line and Facebook Messenger not works).
Sold on this gear!
Nice video. How do you import a custom backing track? Thanks
I did it by dragging my songs into the NUX app's music folder in the tablets "File" section.
Hi, can I stream backtrack from UA-cam to Nux by bluetooth?
i will definitely buy this if it can pair with airpod or any bluetooth speaker.
No amp will use Bluetooth speakers or headphones due to the latency. Wired only.
Sounds harsh ... can this be dialed out ?? ... and how's it compare (tone wise) with low cost modelers like NUX MG 30 or Mooer GE 250 ??
What are the tonal differences between this Pro and the previous MP-2 version? seems this update is mostly for the extra bluetooth, jam tracks, and other streaming stuff but the tones and amps are basically the same as the MP-2
To me, having master volume controls right on the unit is a big improvement over the regular version. (The Fender mustang micro has a master volume on it.)
Hi, imagine, I've had the mp-2 for about a week, it's great. I will also order the mp-3, so I believe it will be even better, I must be crazy, keep both versions? One to play at another, my summer recreation place, with a bluetooth speaker.. or a small combo.. guitar, electric violin..
And keep an mp-3 by the bed at home for quiet playing, in headphones? I also have a Hotone Ampero One at home by my bed for training with Mooer Looper X2.. to Katana mini.. Yesterday I felt that the mp-2 plays better as Hotone to Katana to aux in... In solo sound.. I am confused :-D Could anyone compare similar cases? What do you advise, is it stupid to keep both mp-2 and mp-3?? Can mp-2 be any better? In something?? Thnx ..
U rock bro. I recently got the MP-2.. I wish they can have dotted 8th delay and a looper on future Firmware updates of both units.
Yeah, some subdivisions would be a pretty cool add on!
Great demo! What do the “+” and “-“ buttons on the side do, are they volume up/down controls? And how much does it cost?
Yup, they are volume controls :)
$100 bux...USD...
@@drwheycooler8423 thanks! I already have the Mighty Plug, but would rather have this Pro version.
Does anyone know what chords are used in the backing track at 10:38 ?
I can't decide weather to get the Nux pro or the mooer prime p1. I keep wondering if they are a lot the same thing with maybe even the same chip. They are almost the same price with the mooer prime being about $15 more.
Nux has stereo reverb & delay, Mooer is strictly mono including the bluetooth audio, but the Mooer has a looper and looks to have a lot effects and drum samples than the Nux. Mooer can also be paired with their 4 button footswitch to go thru the presets.
but can this amp plug for playin live?
I don't care about any of the products really.. I just watch Jay's videos to watch him play!! what it must be like to be able to rip like that non stop!!! :D
How does this thing have so much DSP 🤔😮
Lol.... nice little device. Just received and trying to figure out how to hook it up... but I do have one question... Why is a guy who can burn up a guitar like this hawkin' music equip!!!?? Nice stuff man....
New-X 😊😉
JLJ. You are RAD brother. I hope to jam with you someday
Wish you had done this in stereo.
What do you need to play it through speakers or your computer speakers the way you are?
I had a y cable that went from the headphone jack into two channels on my interface.
@@JayLeonardJ what interface is it?
actually i dont care about gear things just visit to hear this guy's awesome playing
Thanks!
It's called 'New X'
Sorry but this review doesn't cover the differences between the original Plug and this Pro version. For most who already have the original the ' improvements ' may be a little too incremental to justify another purchase. In addition will this version of the plug work with the alternative mightier amp app which has some advantages over the official app
Yeah, this video was more about seeing how the new pedal works in practice. Not as much of a comparison thing.
I hope it fixes the huge lag when sending YT audio to it. Very annoying when playing sync with a video! I don't have this lagging ony Fender Mustang Micro, so I ended up using it instead of my "original" Nux...
do you think we will ever get to a place where we can simply pair one of these to a bluetooth speaker and play with zero latency? im waiting for it to be a completly hands free solution to sitting on the couch and playing over a regular bluetooth speaker. thatd be awesome
Yeah. Can this plug allow to pair with any Bluetooth speakers like soundbar too?
I understand and agree. Most likely will never happen though, bluetooth is a data connection, will always be latency issues. Need RF speaker and transmitter.
@@tobiusmanning7336 why is it different that for example my gaming mouse? its bluetooth and has 1ms input lag.
Can I add your presets to the Reddit community?
Definitely! Share away :)
I've just bought today. There is no tuner built in the unit or in the app. How stupid this company think! Could you tell them to update by adding chromatic tuner?
I think it is because the data flow only goes in one direction: from the app to the NUX. All the software and data saving is in the NUX itself and the app merely just controls it. Think of the app like a remote control and the NUX as your TV.
@@JayLeonardJ So why does Mooer P1 which using bluetooth control with app(like Nux MP-3) has a tuner sir?
I might be wrong on this, the app does seem to receive information from Nu-X (like presets and stuff). Maybe it just isn't set up to transmit the note information from the guitar to the app. The Bluetooth technology might only be set up to control the operating parameters of the software, maybe as a cost saving measure. I'm sure a if you reach out to Nu-X they may give you a clearer picture of what is going on under the hood than my simple speculations :)
how bout some clean sounds maybe u dont use them but many do.
Pronounced “new ex”
That does roll off the tongue a lot better 👍👍
Nux sounds way better
I don't care about the product demos, or even Jay's superb virtuoso musicianship. I just come here to groan at all the boring sycophantic fanboys wasting space commenting on how they don't come here for the product demos, but only to fawn over Jay's excellent musicianship, and how they believe he could even make a comb and toilet paper kazoo sound better than a choir of angels.... [ok, I do come here for the product demos, and this device sounds better than expected, definitely worth considering for it's intended purpose, at the price - despite the negativity and dismissal of self appointed tone snobs...]
Jam tracks and drum machine but no metronome or tuner. Must need features that make this product suck for anyone trying to practice
Two second Google will tell you that it's pronounced new X
I knew it's time to move on from my AltaVista search engine! 😉
Came here for free MP Pro tone presets, left with nothing. 😭
Look at the description for a link to my presets :)
Thank u! 😘
Not crazy about the sounds from this unit to be blunt, your playing is exceptional as always, to my ears the effects sound kinda cheap, the distortions are muffly, and the reverbs are full of artifacts... But let's be real, we all just come watch these videos to see Jay's amazing playing. 😅
I second this
not really i just wanna hear the tones
I am here for the tech and for my own interest. Haha..
Make sure you read a bunch of reviews about the many limitations before buying this.
Read where? What limitations? Many?
Thank you for your helpful video🙏
I would be glad if you could answer my short questions of me about NUX Mighty Plug Pro MP-3 Headphone Amp.
1- Can we use it for live performance and connect it to any PA system ? If yes how?
2- Does it connects to any bluetooth speaker wirelessly? Or it needs to have a NUX speaker supporting that?
3- Does it have "pitch shifter" effect in the program and if yes how is it's quality ?
4- Is there a limitation for the number of customized backing tracks that we can add manually?
5- Does it work with just Piezo Mics of acoustic guitar with no preamp mounted over it?
6- Is there any limitations or latency like problems or with android systems?
I thank you for your kind answers in advance,
All bests.
