One thing that I don't see plainly stated online is the value of a unit of power produced by the Biogas plant. Based on that sale at the end it seems like you produced 756 power for one cycle of Silage PLUS 180 power for one cycle of Slurry. So in total we produced 936 power in that one cycle. You zero'd out your money and we saw you made $389. If selling 936 power gave us $389, we can say that 1 power sells for just under $0.42. Using that, we can then figure out the prices that processing each input gives us and compare it to the sell prices. Silage, for example, would result in a bit under $317.52 per cycle of 840L of Silage. So for 1,000 L of Silage it sells for a whopping $378 per 1,000 L ! That's well above the high medium market value of $350 per 1kL. What I DON'T know is what economy was active during this video. I also don't know if the price at the biogas plant changes depending on the month. If it doesn't change, that's fantastic! You can get a nice high price consistently!
@mterenzi thanks for doing that calculation for us... just what was missing from farmercop's good intro video. That's the key question... sell raw silage at $570, or put it into your BGA. If it's $378 from the power produced, then it looks like it's not worth putting silage into it, rather sell it directly. Then the slurry and manure also looks low. You might as well spread it on your field or sell it, cos you'll get more than if you process it through the BGA. Anyone got definitive economics on all of this?
@@hughdle I agree with what you said. Not sure what the op meant when he said 378 was above market value, maybe he's playing on medium. If this price doesn't change based on difficulty then it's not at all worth it for easy mode but maybe more so for medium and hard. I don't understand how having this facility is in any way beneficial when you consider the disgusting cost of buying it.
@@mystictheninja1486not sure if you guys figured it out already, or still play. But for anyone who sees this after, the price per 1000 liters of any product put into the biogas plant is roughly 940 on easy, 564 on med, 313 on hard. Meaning even silage put into the plant is worth more than at its highest value (718 easy, 431 med, 239 hard). The catch is that the amount you can sell at once is limited to how quickly the biogas plant can convert it. The bigger the plant you buy, the faster it converts. So id still hang onto some silage to make fast money, just keep enough in the plant to keep it running at all times. Slurry and manure I’d dump as much as you can into the plant, as that return is ridiculous (yet slow) and the digestate works the same as they do (spread it on fields for fertilizer)
conveyors are slooow though - you might need the Ropa Maas at some point - or of course the abomination unrealistic Milling Machine mod whenever it comes out.
I miss the Randon Sugarcane trailers from FS19. Most trailers will stop right after the intake fills up and you have to manually restart the unloading again, but because the sugarcane trailers dump like front loader buckets, you can just leave them dumping into the intake and they will keep topping it up with no input from the player. The smaller two sugar cane trailers are still in game and they can be made into a train, though you can barely fill them with silage if playing with weight limits on.
Can’t think of it’s brand name but there is a trailer that will dump into em. The rear end can raise up high enough to dump into them. Or just buy/build a ramp.
You might want to make a video on the forrage harvesters. You can now harvest grains and stuff with it there is also a pallet of silage fluids th get more yield
