rooms like this were used by the royalty and were this big simply so their servants can fit in there too. sometimes smaller is better. it's hard to create feeling of cosiness with massive rooms like this. I thought the original layering of the tub was smart way to accent the tub, it just needed shape and material update.

I don't think that is real marble. When she opened the cabinet, that was a tell tale sign. I believe that maybe laminate sheets in a marble pattern. Ain't nothin with it of it is though.
I like the first bathroom better. I am not a fan of marble. Dropping the tub was a good idea & heated floors are great. The French doors were a good idea.
Yup. They could’ve given it a more cosy look, with some colourful Moroccan tiles and mosaics instead of the marble. She was talking about having her baby take baths there, and it doesn’t look stimulating enough for a child to be in.
Terrible it has zero character,it’s just white and grey marble lol. I actually loved the old tub. Everything looked better before! Just paint the brown either white or black and just change the chandelier and sink/drawer handles. 😢
I wanted to see a BIG chandelier, more space between sinks, more art or something going up the walls, and a better partition for the toilet. It could've just been the glass outlined with gold and going up a little higher. I don't like those shabby chic curtains. He really could've gone all out with texture and pattern, even with her minimalist style. And the chaise could have been fancier. Also, I would've wanted drawer pulls! They could've added a little jewelry type aspect, a little glam, a little shine. It looks like its missing something. I almost liked it better before because I saw more potential with it. And the first chandelier would have been re-purposed in some way because it was pretty. They could've made it a floor lamp and put it behind the chaise and had a moment.
I think they could've completely enclosed the water closet and added a wall mount fireplace on the opposite side facing the tub. There's just so many things they could have done to spice it up , instead of the bland half glass.
The bathroom definitely looks better and the marble is stunning. However, the whole ambiance to me is rather sterile and cold. The toilet enclosure looks like an office or medical cubicle and should have been totally enclosed to mitigate smells and sounds. The room was big enough to create a beautiful makeup vanity area near or facing the window. Leaning on the counter to do makeup is a pain and if someone came in to do her makeup for special events they could have had a great space and lighting to work.. Somewhere there needed to be some kind of color to complement all the white in the room whether in the stones or tile. The beige runner in front of the vanity added nothing to the room and was rather dull. The light fixture in the ceiling was rather common when something dramatic could have been stunning. Sorry, Erick missed the mark here and perhaps she dictated a lot of what was done.
The water closet should have been etched glass and floor to ceiling and there should be 2 on either side of the tub. The shower doors weren’t made large enough… the rooms size could have allowed for a sit down make up area with specialized lighting.
This is tough because the bathroom is SO big but like awkwardly so. I think he did a good job also considering Adrienne’s own taste but not my vibe. I would have chosen a different tree though lol

I just feel like this whole grey and white aesthetic lacks personality. It's so one size fits all. Love the Parisian aesthetics. The marble is so unique and adds the character the bathroom needed. My only dislike is that they didn't extend the water closet up to the ceiling or atleast the molding. It makes the room look shorter and adds to the fact that everything is anchored to the floor because the marble brings the eyes down instead of up.
I have issues with grey marble paired with gold fixtures. It looks so terrible to me. It's like wearing gold with a black and white ensemble; it just doesn't blend right. Grey marble has a very sterilized look to it, and gold is very warm and inviting; together the juxtaposition isn't ideal, or flattering.
There are incredible high windows in this bathroom! I really love the whole vanity being wrapped in all marble with built in sinks. This house is really incredible find…I watched when she was house hunting. Such a gorgeous home.
why they keep saying they want to modernize but also choose things that seem old lol. also I actually love the dark panels and dark trim I feel like its so classic. I do hate the original tub and size of the vanity tho. even the original chandelier is not that bad. I also liked the original flooring. omfg I hate the marble pattern they chose. it feels so exaggerated and not subtle at all. what was supposed to look like aged brass just looks so tacky and wannabe. the half wall for the water closet feels a bit awkward for my tastes. as usual, Erick's design feels cold and lacking, especially for new york. positives: good shower and bathtub size, french doors was a good idea.
Love the changes in the shower and the vanity area but absolutely detest the halfway wall for the toilet. It looks like mediocre construction. Extending the wall all the way to the ceiling would had been a better idea. The glass on the wall looks outdated. A beautiful wall paper design with an eye catching chandelier would have been nicer.
I actually like the "BEFORE" more than the after. Personally, I would have kept the cabinets and just painted them white with different handles to offset the white color. But, who knows how bad the cabinets' insides truly were, ya know? I mean, it is modernized. It is simplistic and "bougie minimalistic" (if that makes sense). I like it for her. I LOVE that they changed the flooring!!! From what we see here, little needed to be done, but again, I like its simplistic and neutral color. Props to her designer.
This just feels wasteful. Why replace the marble shower with a different marble? Especially after ruining a whole slab of marble on the bathtub? It’s not exactly a renewable resource. And stop talking about ‘Adrienne’s personal style’ when literally nothing in this bathroom sets it apart from current trends.
bro i thought how it looked at the start WAS the end product 😭 i loved the old look - except the toilet lmao the water closet-thing they added was a great idea
Expensive but bad taste. And completely unnecessary to demolish that great wooden vanity. They should have painted it in a light color and keep the beautiful mirrors. The taps and handles are far too shiny and give it a cheap look. Too much marble and the 'henhouse' (toilet) is hilarous. What a waste of time and money. And what do they mean by 'French doors" for the shower?? In France they have never seen this before 🙂
I love the use of the marble, its definitely a more modern take, especially with the framing of the shower and the vanity, so chic. Ive been seeing this done in more and more homes lately. The only thing I don't like is that seeing the finished product it falls a bit flat with all the white for me personally. Maybe choosing a different tile for the floor or making the upper walls more of a cream tone/off-white to add a bit of contrast between the walls and the moulding. Or even switching out the curtains to a grey/beige tone could have added that warmth and contrast. Overall its beautiful though.
This space had so much more potential
The woodwork and cabinetry before was 100000x more charming and cozy.
Erick's designs are always cold and basic
So you mean you dont like white on white on white? Or the same marble pattern for floor/ceiling/walls so you can barely detect the shape of the room?
@@WatcherBob920 I don’t mind white everything ..but when the goal is to make the room cozy, it doesn’t quit work (for me).

You are getting the design jobs because your work is amazing!!
I also liked the original flooring.
omfg I hate the marble pattern they chose. it feels so exaggerated and not subtle at all. what was supposed to look like aged brass just looks so tacky and wannabe. the half wall for the water closet feels a bit awkward for my tastes. as usual, Erick's design feels cold and lacking, especially for new york. positives: good shower and bathtub size, french doors was a good idea.
this is my dream bathroom! my goodness this is beautiful!
Love Adrienne’s style! ❤
I love love love this bathroom❤
I’ve seen bathrooms at hospitals with more personality.
much more better👏🏽✨I like it
I absolutely love the new bathroom…❤️❤️
I am so in love with this bathroom!! 😍 Adrienne has always had beautiful taste in all her homes! 😍
I’m over the white and so much grey veining. COLD!
This designer is so good..he is one of my fav's
Am I the only one that likes the old bathroom more?
I like how he even talked about what didn’t work or workout with the different materials
I don't know how a professional can charge for having so much room to work with but create something so tacky and dated.
Looks so much better. The only thing I would have changed is all the golds to silvers. Grey and gold doesn’t blend well.
bro i thought how it looked at the start WAS the end product 😭 i loved the old look - except the toilet lmao the water closet-thing they added was a great idea
The materials are nice but I don’t love it. I don’t love the half wall toilet closet … I would prefer it where the shower is
Absolutely beautiful your bathroom. Really your content is nice. Amazing work keep it up.
In France they have never seen this before 🙂
Awww. So happy for you, Adrienne. This is BEAUTIFUL! I love the transformation.
That flower vase is a joke!! He’s so bad!! 😂😂
Impressively uncreative.
Doesn’t matter, it’s her home and that’s what she likes!

Not my favorite. A bit cold
She loves it and it’s beautiful 🎉good job Adrienne
I LOVE IT.. WERK IT GIRL AND ENJOY YOUR HOME WITH THAT GORGEOUS BATHROOM ❤❤
He did such a great job ❤
