I love co-sleeping. My boys are now 10 and 16 years old and they will randomly come and cuddle with me and fall asleep with me. Its so amazing to still have these precious moments especially with my 16 year old

Hi A! First time mommy here too and i looooove co-sleeping with my baby girl. At first i was nervous about it because of the things i hear and see online but an awesome nurse i met told me “Humans are the only mammals that doesn’t sleep with their babies” and that hit me because it’s only a natural thing to do as long as it’s done safely.
My parents co-slept with all 4 of us siblings too. Can’t see myself doing it any other way. So happy to see your journey with Ever ♥️
For the crib in the primary room, have you tried adjusting the mattress the lowest setting? Usually, some cribs come with two "settings". You move the part that holds the mattress to the bottom setting for when they get older so they can't get out. Also, some turn into toddler beds. Just for whenever baby Ever was taking a nap in that room. Love all your houses. I really can't wait to see the NY home. ❤❤❤

I was with my little sister the other day and I randomly sang cheers girl song and she didn’t know where it was from… I naturally was shocked and made her watch it with me. I couldn’t help but get teary eyed. Seeing you then and seeing you now …. And then remembering you on the real…. You have grown so much and have overcame so much as well. Seeing you with your baby makes my heart explode.

My home has only one TV in the family room. Every other room is chill to escape being glued to a screen and instead it’s to talk, bond, read, rest… everything but watch a TV.
Those kitchen gadgets are *chef’s kiss. We’ve had the Bartesian for the past couple of years and again.. *chef’s kiss ♥️
Sis I literally have coslept with two of my three kids and wouldn’t have it any other way. Even right now my older constantly beg to sleep with us because they miss it! Enjoy all these precious moments. So happy for you❤

I love co-sleeping and we did it with my son until about a month ago (after he turned 1). The main reason we put him in his crib now is that he's a very active sleeper and changes positions throughout the night. I never knew such a little body can take up so much space! 😅

When we first had our son I was so agains cosleeping because of what I was reading about safe sleep. I was a part of some FB groups and Mom’s were shaming each other verywhere. I felt so sad away from my son in his bassinet :( I started taking naps with him during the day and fell in love with cosleep and I felt I trusted myself more with him as time went on. I wouldn’t change the transition to cosleep for the world! ❤
I love your houses. I don’t know if any of them is particularly child friendly but I am sure baby Ever is safe and is being watched 24/7.

🇵🇷 Your wonderful cultural raices are showing! ”Parlor Rooms/Reception Rooms”, like the room you show here, are throwbacks to a time when homes would have a separate room for visitors/guests, leaving the other rooms for family only. I’ve seen similar spaces in the historical homes of Viejo San Juan.
I admire that you have the sensitivity to keep a TV out of that space 👏🏽 and enjoy it for its’ stunning views and as music space for Israel to do his thing 🎹, GaD. Gotta say, I do miss seeing Israel’s fabulous shiny white baby grand piano 🎩 with its six Grammy’s on top! 🏆
Growing up, we hardly ever used our Living Room, we preferred the TV room even for guests, “the Den”, as we called it in good ol’ Westchester County. I’m tempted to insert here, “Represent!”, but haha everyone knows that in Westchester it’s more likely to simply say, (cue to polite head-tilt, hand resting on chest), “Representing”. 😂
My family was living nicely, thankfully, but we were always going back to the Bronx, just as your family visits the Lower East Side. Tapping into that mindset. VSJ has a similar way in its sometimes Westchester-like vibe but I always find it especially charming and enchanting. And I could always balance it out with a visit to Piñones. I hope that someday you and your family have an opportunity to experience living in Viejo San Juan as a local. Keep keepin’ it real, Adrienne. Someday you’ll see that your faith and your wise LES sensibilities, are your biggest advantages when navigating through so many worlds 🌍 . You may realize this already through your incredible Mother. co-sleeping is definitely a cultural thing ! Hispanic families as well as black families have co-slept since forever but the truth is that it’s safe until it isn’t. It is proven to increase the risk of SIDS and suffocation, due to just the extra blankets, loose bedding, etc.. It is a beautiful bonding experience for parents and baby but definitely be aware of the risks if it’s a preferred way of sleeping! I know babies safety is #1 priority 💗 much love
When you give birth go twins and have had sleep depriving situation, i placed them in their own room at 10 weeks old, best thing ever as they started to sleep on their own, I am so excited i did, what works for you but created new and great habits from the very beginning is the key. Blessings

Thank you for sharing! You have a beautiful Californian home because of the care and love that will be put into it by your family. I suggest looking into pool gates that will not obstruct your amazing view rather than a tall iron gate. You can get a solid clear pool cover (lays horizontally and fits the size and shape of your pool dimensions ) to go over your pool when not in use. I think it’s remote controlled. It is solid so no one accidentally falls in (children or adults) and you can actually walk and even dance on it. This will give you more area to use and entertain with when you don’t want to be inside the pool. Plus, it’s clear so it’s cool to be able to look into it as you are standing above the pool. For added peace of mind, you can hire lifeguards for your backyard events ( pool parties, bbq’s, etc) so all the adults can enjoy their time freely without having to worry if someone accidentally falls in the pool or if people are swimming there is a certified lifeguard on hand for any aquatic emergency. Yes, in a lot of Southern California homes there are formal living rooms (to sit and entertain guests) and family rooms (usually contains a tv and it’s the main area where the family relaxes together and has fun). These rooms sometimes have different terms in different parts of the country.
I think cosleeping is fine if that’s what the parents choose to do. However, intimacy can be difficult because it can’t be spontaneous since there is a minor always in the bed. Transitioning the child later on from the parents bed/bedroom to the child’s bed/bedroom may be difficult since they never had to sleep without their parents in the same bed or room. I think cosleeping is a sweet idea in theory but it is a choice we choose not to make with our 2 kids (5 yr old son & 3 yr old daughter). I personally can’t get a good nights rest if someone is touching me. I need my space when I’m actually sleeping. I snuggle with my toddlers all the time and we have a great bedtime routine (reading books, brushing teeth, snuggles, etc) but it’s all done in their beds in their bedrooms. 🙂
I agree!! I co-sleep with my son and it’s was the worst decision I have ever done. lol He’s 4 now and doesn’t want to sleep alone. Its hard to get some alone time with my spouse.

I coslept with both of my girls. I only just recently about a year ago start using their room. My youngest had a few months where she was sick alot and I wanted her near me so now she's back in my bed 🥰🥰
