  • Starting off a little small with a short loop to Lake Country and back, but I think this old Dyna is ready for some real road tripping asap y’all! I’m loving the floor boards and really enjoying the torque this low mile evo has got to offer me 😎 I see some good rides to come and I hope you’re all looking forward to joining me!
And, anyone who want's to send me pictures of their bikes, you can email me at:
    redrider.canada.bc@gmail.com
    PLEASE SEND LARGE CLEAR PHOTOS!
1080p x 1080p is the MINIMUM we can work with, so please do your best at making sure your photos are large and not blurry 🙂 And send more than one if you can as well!
Only motorcycle related emails please - sorry, but I just don't have the time to engage in personal conversations.
    Thank you for your understanding.
If you DON'T want your bike highlighted in a future video showing viewers bikes then make sure to mention it in your email. Other than that, expect to see your bike in one of my videos!

As others have said, I knew you would love that Evo Dyna, one thing about the Evo engine give it a few minutes to warm up before you start riding it to allow the block and cylinders to expand, so that you don't blow the base gaskets, they are notorious for "weeping" base gaskets !! So glad your enjoying you Dyna...now you need a quick release windshield so when you don't want to have a windshield it can be removed in just a minute or two !! Have fun and most of all be careful 😘✌💖

The Dyna sounds and seems to ride great. It's really nice to have turn signals and a speedometer. They're even nicer when you actually use them. Sorry, the dad in me coming out and I didn't see you use your signals at all. Be safe and look forward to more rides and more building on the next project.

Helmets and gear are a personal choice, I wear a helmet, boots and gloves any time I ride, have since I was on a dirt bike at 8. Not many years ago I saw a guy go over the bars loading his quad and he clipped the side rail, hit the top of his head on the angle iron weedwwacker holder on his trailer, no helmet and he bled out before EMTs arrived. Accidents happen, Indian Larry would still be around if he had a helmet on. I bought a Super Seer half helmet that cops use and it's light, the cop visor points down so the bill doesn't lift, even at high speed. It's got ear cut outs in the harness and is super comfy on long rides. That Dyna came out really nice, seems like it likes to stretch its legs in 5th but the shovel may get jealous, it is green after all, lol. Stay safe, Angel.

As the comment below says I have an EVO I always let it warm up the cylinders to let things expand before riding. I have zero leaks. When the engine is cold let her warm up for 2 or 3 minutes then ride. I have been riding EVO motors for a very long time. That's how we do it. The EVO is the best motor Harley has ever produced. Well maintained they will go for 100,000 miles without a rebuild. The Shovelhead is a pain you constantly have to wrench on them and the upper end needs a rebuild every 40k miles.

Angel, that FXDWG 82 is fabulous; I actually think it looks great, now!
If it were mine I might put some custom paint on the tank (a flame or two, or the HD logo), but golly it's a fine looking machine IMHO.
In Minnesota we are not legally required to wear a helmet, if the person is >18. I always wear a helmet; full face or modular. I usually wear the HD Outrush R designed by Sena, for audio & FM.
IF your gauge is accurate, you had that baby up over 82 mp/h. 132+ Km/h That is clipping right along for that Evo 82
I'm happy for you that you've got a practical ride now-- for trips and exploring.
    Ride safe. Have fun!

A good fitting full face adds a safety factor of keeping your eyes from tearing and glasses on, also cuts down on wind noise so you can hear other traffic. The most important thing about a helmet is how it fits your head and face.

Hi 👋,Red , thank you for sharing your ride out, there was something I noticed that your speedometer says kilometres per hour, so I had to do a bit digging it appears back in the 70s. It was changed from miles per hour to kilometres per hour., which I find unusual where the USA is still in miles per hour, anyway that’s another story. Great to see you riding safely and are enjoying your dinner.,
There was a group of us back in the early 2000s purchased the same helmet or very similar , but we would only wear them when we went to a rally and we wouldn’t wear them when we went out major on the road, I’ve always used a helmet called roof. I think it was called boxer, that’s where the front of the helmet left right up becomes an open style helmet, thanks for sharing, and I’ve just seen there is very bad fires at BC I reckon 30 odd thousand people have been evacuated, Please stay safe one and All, Phil from the moulin France.

For about ten years I traveled in a helmet for tankers (my father was a tank driver and it was his helmet). Plus, I was fond of fencing and historical reconstruction and also rode a motorcycle in a Mongolian helmet from the time when they were pagans and in a European helmet from the Middle Ages.

@@bandit7519 hey, so sorry in didn’t see this earlier. I don’t get notifications for replies on comments I only get them for new comments on my videos. Did you figure out your problem? Sounds like a wet sump issue to me as that’s typical for those bikes if they sit without being ran.

Over a 100 in Arkansas today and we don't have helmet laws for experienced riders

Here in Connecticut helmets are not required. I use a 3/4 open face or full face for recording.

Have you seen Billy Lanes video on how he hauls his Sons of Speed racer to the track? That would make a great series video for you

stop signs in canada are just suggestions, not actual laws. (24:14)

Enjoy the Dyna. I love mine, a 2013.
Curious about the reservoir on the left side..do you have a hydraulic clutch on this model?

    helo angel .
    that was a nice ride.
the streets in canda look similarly broken as with us.
how do you do it , driving and talking at the same time ?
if you drive a little faster your talking will be less, which is also better to pay attention to the traffic.
    greetings from germany.

That bike I don't know if the paint scheme that was on it when you got it is stock colors but it is or was the same as a guy I hung out with in the lower mainland , Name was Daryl not sure about the spelling or his last name..that was probably 13 years ago..
