Good day Red. Funny what you said about the Dyna being such a plain Jane type of bike. I had one just like yours a few years ago. It Ran great and everything but I just didn’t like the looks. It makes me up to the challenge to customize one up enough where I would visually like it. If I get another one I’ll give it a quick makeover. Smitty.
Helmets and gear are a personal choice, I wear a helmet, boots and gloves any time I ride, have since I was on a dirt bike at 8. Not many years ago I saw a guy go over the bars loading his quad and he clipped the side rail, hit the top of his head on the angle iron weedwwacker holder on his trailer, no helmet and he bled out before EMTs arrived. Accidents happen, Indian Larry would still be around if he had a helmet on. I bought a Super Seer half helmet that cops use and it's light, the cop visor points down so the bill doesn't lift, even at high speed. It's got ear cut outs in the harness and is super comfy on long rides. That Dyna came out really nice, seems like it likes to stretch its legs in 5th but the shovel may get jealous, it is green after all, lol. Stay safe, Angel.
As the comment below says I have an EVO I always let it warm up the cylinders to let things expand before riding. I have zero leaks. When the engine is cold let her warm up for 2 or 3 minutes then ride. I have been riding EVO motors for a very long time. That's how we do it. The EVO is the best motor Harley has ever produced. Lol, a buck forty sounds wild, then I realize it's Km/h and I do 90 mph on the way home from work on the NYS thruway daily, the troopers don't even give a second look. Yes and that sucks for a lot of riders that don’t like to wear helmets. I know when I was collecting pins for riding the coast during Bike Week I saw a lot of bikers that were stoping to helmet up heading towards Wilmington, NC 😊
@@user-ty4bx4kw9k , I always wore a helmet. In 2006 after I had been to Myrtle Beach Bike Week Spring Rally I was in a head on collision after I got home on my 2003 Lowrider on July 7, 2006. No fault of my own and didn’t see the big truck that hit me. Wasn’t expected to live through the night! Unconscious for 28 days and broken from head to toe. Had 2 brain injuries, lost all short term memory. Yes I was wearing a helmet as I always did. 17 years later I’m still a walking miracle. God is Great!
There should be a reserve on your petcock on mine I can drive 120 miles and it'll run out and I switch it to reserve and I've got 30 more miles just in case your gas gauge isn't working properly
At around 14 min in, if you take a left onto OK centre rd. W, you will find an amazing road that winds along the lake, from right down at beach level, to up in the hills with an amazing view. Its actually a very scenic road all the way into vernon.

"We made the switch and relay horn circuit better" 😁👍....no... no ya didn't 😔
Its a hydraulic clutch that the previous owner added.
Evo sounds real good at 130kph. I have a rubber mount Sporty 1200 I took to Glacier Park yesterday. Go have an adventure!
Thats the plan!
HOTT HOTT HOTT❤️😎👋
Have you seen Billy Lanes video on how he hauls his Sons of Speed racer to the track? That would make a great series video for you
Sounds interesting haha
In North Carolina we have helmet laws , South Carolina doesn't
Curious about the shirt it looks like it might prevent sun burn and breath a little to keep you cool .....
Its just a long sleeve cotton t-shirt
always carry tools.... Evo's are prety much set & forget.... change ya oil & filter at right times... thats it.. cheers Red
🍻
I wonder if theres a way to soften the audio or maybe a way to filter, it sounds like the volume is a tad too high.
I think I just yell too much hahah
If I had to ride across country...I would choose the Dyna.....if I was gonna go for a day cruise...I would ride the shovel.
Build a trailer to pull behind the dyna and pull the shovel to the shows!
My dad said that too haha
There should be a reserve on your petcock on mine I can drive 120 miles and it'll run out and I switch it to reserve and I've got 30 more miles just in case your gas gauge isn't working properly
cool thanks
Over a 100 in Arkansas today and we don't have helmet laws for experienced riders
you bet ya!
At around 14 min in, if you take a left onto OK centre rd. W, you will find an amazing road that winds along the lake, from right down at beach level, to up in the hills with an amazing view. Its actually a very scenic road all the way into vernon.
Oh awesome! Thanks, I'll keep my eyes out next time.
Hey how you doing you didn't show what your bike looks like and I watched about half of your video and you didn't say what year Dyna it was.. So I'm just curious.. I have a '97 white glide and I'm curious what you're on thank you
Hey Tony, thanks for watching. I guess this project just drug out for so long that I assumed everyone watching this would have already known what I was riding hahah. Silly assumption to make on a UA-cam video though.
This bike is a 1994 Dyna Wide Glide. Here's a playlist on my channel that shows the bike from the time I got it till now: ua-cam.com/play/PLUHru35xexv-K81IFlw8KOB514juYeSeU.html
@@RedRiderCanadaBC thank you sweetie
Wondering how you find the size of your Dyna vs the Vstar 1100 you had?
I like the Dyna a lot better. But those V-stars are pretty fast too and for being basically stock ( I think) it fit someone my size pretty good.
Need to add a reverse gear to the Dyna. 😆
Some states you don t need a helmet other states they have to be dot approved and that’s a sweet bike you do great work
Thank you 🙂

@@bandit7519 hey, so sorry in didn’t see this earlier. I don’t get notifications for replies on comments I only get them for new comments on my videos. Did you figure out your problem? Sounds like a wet sump issue to me as that’s typical for those bikes if they sit without being ran.
@@RedRiderCanadaBC its cool shit happens and yes thats what it was was wet sump my oil pump went and all my oil went to crank case i replaced ball in my oil pump it seems to me holding oil in oil tank but im my carb been acting up i did clean it out after all the oil went thru it but i think im going to be replacing carb soon but thanks for getting back to me

🤔
What microphone do you use and how are you hooking it to your Rode transmitter?
I have an apex headworn mic that I plug into the rode wireless mic.
