Ive been usung fermented rice water for a ling time now 1-I never dilute 2-i make more than she makes as the mixture works best when massaged on the sculp. So i put a plug in the bathroom sink and keep pooring and dipping my head into the fermented rice water and massage massage massage is the key. When i first started i was massaging it more into the back of the sculp than the front lol so my hair grew quicker at the back of my head than the top lol 3-it can take more than 24 hours depending on the temperature!!! At the moment it is cold where i am and it takes 48 hours or more to ferment. No.4.can be stored in fridge for up to a week. Make sure it is covered well or sealled well in a container. If kept in the fridge, its ok to warm the rice water up in micriwave for 30 seconds to take the chill off the water. Every microwave is different, dont boil the water just take the chill of and make it a little warm to make it barable if you want to use it staight away. 5- AFTER MASSAGING EVENLY FOR 5-10 MINUTES, QUEEZE AS MUCH AS YOU CAN OUT OF HAIR AND WRAP HAIR IN PLASTIC WRAP FOR AN HOUR BEFORE RINSING. I ALWAYS LEAVE A LITTLE IN MY HAIR SO IT KEEPS WORKING. SO I RINCE GENTLY AND QUICKLY. I WANT TO KEEP SOME ON MY SCULP. IT ALSO GETS RID IF DANDRUFF! !! BONUS!!! I ALWAYS WASH MY HAIR WITH SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONER BEFORE DOING THE RICE WATER, THAT WAY MY HAIR NEVER SMELLS FUNNY. OR YOU CAN ADD THINGS OR EVEN ESSENTIAL OILS TO THE MIX LIKE SHE SAID, BUT DONT OVER DO IT WITH THE OILS, WE DON'T WANT OILY HAIR NOW DO WE. MY HAIR GREW 8 INCHES IN 3 WEEKS!!!! SO I KNOW WHAT I DO WORKS. FOLLOW HER FIRST INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO MAKE, BUT I PERSONALLY MAKE MOOR TO REALLY SOAK THE HAIR and sculp esspecially. MY HAIR IS STRONG!! @@LiterallyAllNamesAreTaken Yea you also said 8 inches in 3 weeks is normal. Clearly it isn't. Not just curly hair, but most hair types don't grow that fast. No hair is uncontrollable especially wavy hair unless you have some problems.

Step 1 : Get some rice ! Step 2 : Wash the rice Step 3 : portion the rice in a bowl with the water . 2 tablespoons of rice + 2 cups of water . Per tablespoon , add a cup of water . Step 4 : Leave it sitting outside of the fridge for half an hour .... Or if you want the extra benefits ..leave it for 24 hours . Step 5(optional) : add some orange peels or essential oils to kill the awful smell if you have left it standing for 24 hours . Step 6: use as a deep conditioning treatment or hair rinse .

As a biology student, I advice not to boil it because pepsin works at 37 degrees Celsius and if it is heated at a higher temperature the enzyme (pepsin)-which is used to break down the protein into amino acids and allows your hair to absorb the nutrients- is denatured/ destroyed so it won’t work. *And in rice water the phytic acid activates the enzyme after germination which is before it ferments*
nishani3 actually they didn’t use the boiling method only some actually boiled it, also because like you said they do it for yeaaarsss and those women naturally have long hair so. If you don’t naturally have long hair then it’s better to not boil it

@@LiterallyAllNamesAreTaken In response to, “ They say they can't be bothered with long hair,” did you ask why? Because that seems very weird; They're a hair salon. I'm happy to hear that you love your long hair. I have naturally short hair, just to let you know. I'm just grateful to have hair because some people don't. Hey, um, wait. By trim, I meant like if you have split ends or knots. But if you don't that's ok. And it's ok if you don't plan on doing it either, just a suggestion.

I used to constantly have my hair in tight ponytails etc., and my hairline ended up receding slightly, which never seemed to start growing back until recently. After using a weekly rice water rinse for about a month, the hairs around my hairline have become very noticeably darker, thicker, and longer. Also my hair generally feels much stronger. I pour the rice water over wet detangled hair, then I put some deep conditioner on top and let it sit for about half an hour covered in a shower cap/clingfilm and a t shirt. Then I co wash and continue with my routine (I co wash only, never shampoo). I would highly HIGHLY recommend this, especially if you have high porosity hair like me. However, if your hair is low porosity or otherwise doesn't cope with protein, you might find using it once a month or fortnight instead of every week suits you better. Rice water has been a miracle for my hair. I'm so happy with it
Carmel Mocha22 You can, but I never have. I don't let it ferment, I just soak the rice for half an hour, strain, then use. So it literally just smells of rice. Quite a pleasant smell actually. I think it should be okay to use after you deep condition, however I've only ever mixed it in with mine. You might find it works better to do it before deep conditioning. Experiment, find out what works for you :)

Fun fact: there's a village in China where the women grow their hair put all their life. They wash it every three days with fermented rice water and comb every day. The only time they cut their hair is at 17 as a coming of age ceremony. They're really amazing!!!
Very old remedy, and in southern parts of india, we wash our hair with starch (extracted from cooked rice) which has more benefits, mix with Shikakkai, amla (gooseberry) and hibiscus powder. And also we can drink this starch (many restaurants use this starch in the soups) mix with yogurt as a refreshing drink to keep the body hyderated and the nutrients helps to keep the moisture intact into our hair follicles. 👍🙏👏

Ok guys I'm trying this tomorrow and I will update as soon as I can. UPDATE: So I put it on my hair on Tuesday night and left it on overnight and washed it off yesterday morning with shampoo and conditioner like normal but nothing really happened 😂. My hair felt a little bit softer but it might have been the conditioner I'm not really sure 😂😂Im gonna apply this again tomorrow night and see if any changes happen xo Edit: Ok I am really bad at this but I will fill in on the details. People do say that rice water is sort of like a protein treatment and if you overdo it, it could lead to a few damages so I stuck to using it 2 a week before my usual hair wash and to be fair there was no MAJOR hair growth but I have noticed that there was a little fast growth and my hair has been shedding less as well as my hair being more softer. If you want the best type of hair possible lets say for a day, then I would recommend applying castor oil and leaving it for 10 minutes and then rinsing ur hair with rice water and leaving it in for about 30 minutes and then rinse it off with nothing more than water and conditioner. This left an amazing hair texture and look for me!! xo
Sharon Sunny it’s my second day but I noticed some growth already I have 4c hair but it was long in length before it accidentally got cut so I think that it’s doing ok but it’s only day 2

So about the boiling..... I have been doing this for a couple months. And we eat a lot of rice at home so it is easier to do the boiling method for me. The trick is to watch it. Like as soon as it starts to bubble and cloud up u wanna take it off the heat... Strain it, and then leave it out to fermit. The you can go ahead and finish cooking the rice you need for dinner. U need to definitely dilute this. I put half in a spray bottle and the other half is filtered water. I have had serious growth and texture change (it's actually hydrated and holds curls finally Jesus!! 😍) with the boiling method. I also add 2 tablespoons of coconut oil to mine while its hot and shake it real nice. It can also be used as a face toner and cleares up acne. ❤ if u do some research the woman who do this also bathe in it at warm temps and they get the same nutrition and vitamins.
@@mrs_chin its mad easy u just take the extra water from the rice u are cooking. U should try it at least once! it feels amazing and its a really cheap beauty secret

It's great it's working for you. I use fermented rice water as well for rinses but I would recommend people rinse it out. Obviously some people may not be affected by this but bacterial scalp infections are a thing. Leaving the rice water in your hair. It will continue to ferment in your hair, it will become a breeding ground for some not so nice bacteria. I tend to use the fermented rice water as a final rinse after I shampoo and deep conditioner. By that I mean after the deep conditioner I thoroughly rinse my hair with plain water to get rid of product and ring my hair out so it's damp, not soaking wet. And the I rinse with the rice water separately. I then leave it on my hair from 20 minutes to an hour. You don't need to go above that really. For really damaged hair the hour will suffice. Then just rinse it out and style as per usual. Your hair will still get the benefits of the treatment and you won't risk a bacterial scalp infection. I also only do this once a month. Twice a month if my hair seems to be a bit lacking but usually once a month. It's basically protein treatment. I see people doing it weekly and that's protein overload. You'll dry out your hair.
RiRiSmi this is all seems like a really long process. So is this a protein treatment? I’m thinking that maybe I would wash and condition my hair add night, and then leave the rice water in my hair overnight and rinse it out in the morning and style. What do you think? Waiting 1 hour after washing my hair makes this just too long for me personally in terms of the whole process from start to finish.
I've been trying to grow my hair for a loooooong time and nothing worked, but then I found out about this and after reading up on it I think this is the thing that will work for my hair type. I'm starting today, wish me luck!
Okay, so I'm not sure if it helped my hair grow, but the unbleached part of it is super smooth and the bleached part is less dry than usual and not as frizzy. Just FYI I've been spraying some on my hair roughly every other day and used it twice to wash my hair. My hair is naturally quite dry and damaged, it's also very porous.
It doesn't matter if you boil the Rice for a Quick 5min Or for 10min before fermenting the Rice Water for 24-48hrs. The women who use it this way grow super long hair and achieve great results such as stronger hair fibers, increased hair elasticity, manageability, and Shine. This method doesn't destroy nutrients. That's a myth and also Biology students giving an Educated guess without any proof. It's a matter of Choice. *_There was a Research Article on this Method published in Journal of Cosmetic Chemists in 2010. An abundance of antioxidants, minerals, B vitamins, vitamin E were found in the Fermented Water from Boiled Rice used by certain Asian Cultures. Traces of Pitera, an anti-aging substance that promotes cell regeneration was also found_* in the fermented rice water. Pitera is produced during fermentation of rice water Boiled or Not. It's all about the Method most comfortable to each individual using Rice water rinse or Treatment.*

@@thebreadangel9844 they probably clicked on it to actually find out how to grow out their hair, and then they realized that the song was playing @ the end, but it does get tiring seeing army commenting alot abt the song😔
Guys, this actually works! I never thought it would work this well... It grew almost an inch and that's progress! But I think we need to do it just for one week because if you're new to it just as I was, you still don't know if your hair type is really getting the help from it... So I suggest u just use this for a week or less even if it works as to not get any side effects. Let me tell you how I did it: Day 1-- Applied the rice water all over scalp, protect the root and tips, hair length by oiling (moisture) Day 2- applied (as above) left it for 3 hours, hair wash with a mild shampoo (I put the remaining rice water which was getting smelly on my hair directly and gave a small massage, and then washed it) Day3- made new batch of rice water, left the hair as it is Day4- Had to wash hair due to emergency, Applied the rice water+ moisture & let it stay. Day5- Spray the ricewater and let it stay Day 6- A bit of ricewater and lot of moisture Day 7- Spray the remaining ricewater and after some hours I wrapped up this challenge by a final hairwash... And Ta-Da!!! The results are amazing! My family was the first to notice the hairgrowth and the beauty it was adding... I was on cloud nine😍 So guys just go for it.... Tip(as shown in the video): To remove the odour u can add some grated orange or lemon peel while keeping the ricewater to ferment. I grated lemon peel in mine and it prevented the odour for longer time... Lastly, just have huge confidence that your hair will grow and shower some love there gurl and appreciate your hair... After all its just a process... And I'm among the ones who regret cutting my hair damn short during this quarantine but this new look is really cool... Good luck...! :)))))
I started using the rice water in my hair a few weeks ago and even documented the method on my UA-cam. It really works and helped prevent breakage and my hair is much stronger.. love, love, LOVE this hair remedy!❤️❤️
Safae En hi it is better to use it like once a week. I made videos on my UA-cam channel about it. Different factors such as hair porosity, protein sensitivity and hair type should be considered when using it because using rice water too often can cause protein overload which is when there is an imbalance between protein and moisture which can cause hair to break. Rice water is very effective when used right.
I’ve been using this for a month + sometimes adding a small amount of coconut oil to my hair while damp I will say that... 1. You don’t see a immediate result right away it takes time 2. If u have a family member who’s used to eating rice at least once a day ask for their water. I do that with my mom, they will think it’s weird but beauty can be challenging 3. Just wait man you’ll see that soon it won’t be too slow
@@mh7921 Oh it’s really long since i commented now that it’s 2 years, i will say that i don’t use it as often but i got a horrible haircut and used the rice water method and my hair grew back faster than previous cuts without rice water. Different rice have different protein levels, wild rice has the lowest levels and white rice has the highest - plus the rice needs to be left for 24 - 48hours not half an hour! Or you can cook it. The longer you leave it the better. The left over rice can be blended for a body scrub.

I will be continuing this and telling the results everytime💖 2nd WASH: My hair feel much more smoother and healthier than ever before....i would highly recommend all of you to use this! One tip: I used drinking water to ferment my rice...because drinking water reduced my hairfall to 95% so i used drinking waterr!! The results are amazing 💞🔥 3rd WASH: i just washed my hair and dryed it....they are soo smooth rn....i can't explain you guys! So much volume and growth in my hair.....i can feel the healthy hair❤️❤️❤️❤️ 4th WASH Guys tbh the day i wash my hair its very healthy and full of volume but by the second day it starts becoming oily....i dont know if i am using this in a wrong way or what! But i believe if we wah our hair 3 times a week with this rice water that there are 95% chances of growth! My hair feels soo healthy today and full of volume! 5th WASH tbh it really works for hair growth and volume but from the third day my hair seems oily if i havent washed! But probably because it is just the fifth time of washing with rice water! Maybe by a month my hair will get lot more healthier and thick as i want it!! 6th WASH Guys this is like a miracle! Now i can feel the growth and volume! The only thing i am scared is as soon as i stop it won't my hair become the same? For that we have to wait! I loved the results so far! 7th WASH Guys i have no idea where i am going wrong! But my hair doesn't feel healthy! After so many washes also idk where i am going wrong! My hair has no volume now! I am shocked!! Please help me out if you know where am i going wrong! I want to grow my hair
i forgot to write it down from the first day so ill start from day 5 ( i used fermented rice water, i wash my hair and put the rice water on my scalp and my roots at night, braid it and rinse it in the morning ) day 5: my hair does grow longer and thicker but theres no drastic changes day 6: still no drastic changes but my hair became really smooth and grew abit day 7: became thick but still no drastic changes. definitely did grow from day 1 day 8 : i can finally tie a ponytail without any hair falling out! :)
I recently cut my hair because my waves/curls were pretty damaged. I had hair going down to my hips and now it hits probably the middle of spine since cutting it and i actually like it like that. However, i have heard that this REALLY thickens your hair and my hair is thinning just a little bit so ill keep ya’ll updated when i start.
Here is my expirence with this: I have used this for about two weeks now...AND I LOVE IT!!❤ The rice water keeps my hair really soft and clean, and it doesn't get that oily anymore because my hair usually gets oily really quickly. I just put the rice water in a spray bottle and spray it in my hair and scalp before i go to school. I highly recommen you try it to!;) Tip: Add some fresh lemon juice for a fresh scent and extra shine, lemon juice is going to give you extra protection from the sun and heat.

I actually bring the rice to a boil, not fully cook the rice then I separate it and let it sit over night and it works for me when I put it in my hair, and section the hair off I sit with a cap on for an hour then rinse the rice water out, no shampoo no conditioner. This is my second time doing it since April 6, 2018 and my hair has grown 2 inches since I got a trim
@Brianna Pinkerton= Do you have Low Porosity or High Porosity Hair...? I've not tried this method yet but I know from my previous experience my hair is Low Porosity and doesn't like too much Protein. Do you shampoo your hair first or you use the Rice water on unwashed hair.
Fere solomon ---> My hair texture changed a few times during and after my pregnancy. I've been in braids from July '15 up to March '18 And my hair holds moisture pretty well as long as I keep it moisturized. I don't pre wash the hair, the times Ive done it I just apply it to my straight hair ( 2 weeks after a press) and I rinse the rice water out no shampoo. But this last time I did it, I used conditioner for my twist out
Rice water works. I had passion twists in from february 14th until march 23rd. The first 3-4 weeks consisted of me leaving my hair alone, not putting anything on it. But those last 2 weeks I saw more improvement and stronger hair growing from my roots. In a conclusion I grew more than an inch and a half, some parts I grew 2 inches.
Rice water really helps in growing hair.. its a traditional method in Bengali Indians.. we use this.. and yeah most of us have really long hair in my family
Ok y’all I’m gonna try this out. I’ll try to give updates, but I might forget. Edit: lmao I forgot I’m sorry y’all This stuff is really good though especially for curly hair so I’d say just do it anyways. Sorry again guys
I am going to try this I am having huge issue with my hair thickness, shedding, and thinning I am natural and pretty curly so I don't normally notice until my hair is straightening and then it's super thin 😩
I plan to use this on my hair on summer vacation! I'm trying to grow my hair out for back to school! I've just reached shoulder length hair! My goal is to get to arm pit length by the time school starts again! Hopefully I can be able to reach that length by then! 💕💖
If u keep up a regular regimen with it..it’s very possible to exceed ur goal of armpit length. It really works that fast & that well. I started at armpit length now I’m right above my rib cage in only about 3wks honestly not to mention it’s repairing any damage I had. I vouch for it 100% 👍🏾
You said that per tablespoon of rice, you want a cup of water at 1:56. Similarly, I would like to know how many cups of water do we need to add to a fermented rice water to dilute it at 4:30? Thank you.
Some people don't dilute it. Others do. Patch test on your hair until an answer comes. She did say it can be too harsh for some hairs and that's why dilute.
Alright so here's my plan: I'm gonna use this method on an alternate day basis. I've also got a ripe-banana hair mask planned (I'll attach the link to it if anyone wants to know). The banana hair mask has been suggested for like twice a week, but considering the damaged state of my hair (and my mom's hair, cause I'm gonna do it for both of us) is a lot (dyes, deep conditioning, bad water quality), I'll do the banana thing for 3 days, the Rice Water thing for 3 days, and I'm gonna leave Sundays as a breather day. Mom and I wash our hair daily (with Shampoo, conditioner, and we lightly rub some Amla or Coconut oil when the hair are still damp), cause the pollution here is BAD and cause our hair are so used to it now that if we don't do a daily wash, the scalp gets TOO oily and the hair-fall is twice the next day Also, I'm doing this chamomile and lemon hair spray thingy (which is a DIY dye) every day on my hair (been seeing some lightening results without increased hair-fall (than usual. I get a lot of hair-fall), so I'm gonna have to time everything in a way that I don't put too much strain on my hair, but also do most for it. I'll try my best to keep y'all updated. For today, the rice would be fermented (24 hours) in the next 3 hours, and I've added lemon peels of 1 lemon cause Grapefruit was expensive and Oranges were unavailable. Amen to this hair care routine!
Day 0-1: My day 0 measurement was 16 inches of right side, centre parted. I applied the rice water (it smelled kinda soupy, like a lemon soup. Also I diluted it) with the spray-it-on-dry-hair method, massaged it on my scalp, braided my now-wet hair in 2 braids (cause I have super tangly curly hair), put a towel on my pillow and went to sleep. This morning the measurement is 16.2 inches so that's good...! 😍
@@missmia196 OMG it's been ages I even forgot I commented this! I wash my hair on alternate days because they're prone to dandruff and the high pollution (+ intense workouts) makes my scalp really itchy. I'm not doing any of the above stuff now that I wrote so elaborately then haha. And my hair is definitely much better now! I put growth serum, redenser, post-wash serum, and I oil it once every week or apply an aleo vera mask once every few weeks. This routine has been helping me and it's much more sustainable too!
One thing I would like to correct here, U can boil the rice water for 5-10 min. That's the most authentic way to prepare rice water. That's the way Lao women prepare their rice water. Checkout other videos, they boil rice water and the results are just amazing.
Why do so many people say it smells? I've made this several times, and every time it just smells like freshly cut apples...I don't add anything else, just water and white rice...
I Used Rice Water for my Face as a Toner.. not only for my face I also used for my Back Bcuz I have a Acne a lot on my back and shoulder. Now my Skin is Totally Clear and Soft.
Rice water review update: I think I may have done an update on this before yet just incase I didn't heres' another. 1stly a shout out to you Lana for this video, it has changed so much for me a million thanks for this. Now before I started this I would wash my hair and no matter what I did whether I tried combing it out under the water or when it was damp out of the shower it was taking me hours to comb out my hair and every second was agony I honestly started wondering if I should go bald again. After using this for atleast 3 - 4 months now I am thrilled with the results. After watching Lanas' vid I incorporated a few different things with it and heres' the regimen and I have sensetive hair that I take after my mother so here is what I do: - buy a shampoo and conditioner that has 0% Parabens and Sulphates. (This was the culprit to my tangled dried out hair). -once a week I take 1 spoon of rice I (I use white rice though I don't think it matters which you choose) rinse it out with water and pour 2 cups of water (filtered tap water for me) on top of the rice in a bowl. -I then leave it for an hour. -I then pour it into a spray bottle and spray the rice water over my hair to dampen it yet not soak it just wet it enough that it's wet throughout my hair. -Then I use extra virgin olive oil and oil my hair with it. (I use my extra virgin cooking oil) -The day I wash my hair I shampoo and condition then instead of spraying my hair I would pour the rice water throughout my hair as it would already be wet through from the wash. Then I oil my hair then I use what I have always used on my hair which is the Palmers food formulae. Now since doing this I am so thrilled with the results that I had to share this just incase it works for anyone else as it did me. I have also told my mum about it after it being such a success and I'll leave the details to you to try out. With the hunderds of different hair tips out there nothing had ever grabbed my attention like rice water. a grain. and water. what more could I ask for and I couldn't be happier!
@@sallycorbin3434 I just cut about 2 inches off my hair less than a month ago and atleast an inch has already grown back. The most important thing about rice water is that it does NOT change the TYPE of hair you have, it takes it's natural texture and does wonderful things to it. I used to have extremely thick hair (so much so I used to dread doing it and wished it to be easier to do) and lo and behold I had my wish and now my hair is so thin I used to feel like crying each time I saw it. Now Thank God; since using the rice water It's such a beautifully soft, healthy & gorgeous version of itself that I literally itch to wash it and take it out so I can run my fingers through it! It does take dedication to spritz it once a week tho nothing like the things people do with their hair nowadays.

Lana Summer what kind of rice water does it matter what type it is?
Lana Summer
Ive been usung fermented rice water for a ling time now
1-I never dilute
2-i make more than she makes as the mixture works best when massaged on the sculp. So i put a plug in the bathroom sink and keep pooring and dipping my head into the fermented rice water and massage massage massage is the key.
When i first started i was massaging it more into the back of the sculp than the front lol so my hair grew quicker at the back of my head than the top lol
3-it can take more than 24 hours depending on the temperature!!!
SHINY, IT REPAIRED BRITTLE BLEACHED HAIR(MADE IT STRONG AGAIN) THE YAO WOMAN OF CHINA HAVE THE GUINESS WORLD RECORD FOR THE LONGEST, SHINIEST, STRONGEST HAIR IN THE WORLD as a COMMUNITY. ,AND THEY DONT GO GREY UNTILL THEY ARE IN THEIR 90'S. YOU CAN LOOK THEM UP ON UA-cam..
SORRY IF IVE MISSED ANYTHING, BUT THERE ARE A FEW STEPS I DO DIFFERENT AND IT WORKS AMAZZZZZING.
NO DISRESPECT TO WOMAN WHO MADE THIS VIDEO.

*And in rice water the phytic acid activates the enzyme after germination which is before it ferments*
davienie rivas Thank you for the advice!!!
Very smart, thanks!

I'm so happy with it
Ruby Inferno can you add essential oils for the smell. For the rinse method can u use it after you rinse out your deep conditioner.
Ruby Inferno How often do you do this ?
Helllo Girl Once a week because I'm high porosity and my hair needs protein :)

Hey does rice water help with hair thining?

@@sharan.sharan : sorry, couldn't understand your question...help hair thinning? @@marylourdes4498 my question was that does it help with hairfall, does it strengthen the hair?

Ok guys I'm trying this tomorrow and I will update as soon as I can.
UPDATE: So I put it on my hair on Tuesday night and left it on overnight and washed it off yesterday morning with shampoo and conditioner like normal but nothing really happened 😂. My hair felt a little bit softer but it might have been the conditioner I'm not really sure 😂😂Im gonna apply this again tomorrow night and see if any changes happen xo
Edit:
Ok I am really bad at this but I will fill in on the details.
This left an amazing hair texture and look for me!! xo
😂😂😂😂 ❤❤
Maybe you just need to give it more time🤷🏽♀️😂

Breona why do you have to dillute it though?
+AdonaiLove 33 You dilute it 'cause it's too concentrated, so it might end up doing more harm than good. Too much of something is always bad.
@@mrs_chin its mad easy u just take the extra water from the rice u are cooking. U should try it at least once! it feels amazing and its a really cheap beauty secret

And can u pls tell me how often u use rice water in a week..? I'm suffering from severe hair fall.. plsssss tell me
It's great it's working for you.
My mom watched me make this, teased me the whole way, and then proceeded to call it bull crap. The whole family tree is about to hear about this.
Ohmygod I wish all the best for you, please stay strong hun ✨💞

has it worked? im starting to use it on my hair!

Let me tell you how I did it:
Day 1-- Applied the rice water all over scalp, protect the root and tips, hair length by oiling (moisture)
Day 2- applied (as above) left it for 3 hours, hair wash with a mild shampoo (I put the remaining rice water which was getting smelly on my hair directly and gave a small massage, and then washed it)
Day3- made new batch of rice water, left the hair as it is
Day4- Had to wash hair due to emergency, Applied the rice water+ moisture & let it stay.
Day5- Spray the ricewater and let it stay
Day 6- A bit of ricewater and lot of moisture
Day 7- Spray the remaining ricewater and after some hours I wrapped up this challenge by a final hairwash...
And Ta-Da!!!
The results are amazing! My family was the first to notice the hairgrowth and the beauty it was adding... I was on cloud nine😍
So guys just go for it....

I started using the rice water in my hair a few weeks ago and even documented the method on my UA-cam. It really works and helped prevent breakage and my hair is much stronger.. love, love, LOVE this hair remedy!❤️❤️
pls how often you use rice water ? evry day or once time for a week??
Safae En hi it is better to use it like once a week. I made videos on my UA-cam channel about it. Different factors such as hair porosity, protein sensitivity and hair type should be considered when using it because using rice water too often can cause protein overload which is when there is an imbalance between protein and moisture which can cause hair to break. Rice water is very effective when used right.

I’ve been using this for a month + sometimes adding a small amount of coconut oil to my hair while damp I will say that...
1. You don’t see a immediate result right away it takes time
2. If u have a family member who’s used to eating rice at least once a day ask for their water. I do that with my mom, they will think it’s weird but beauty can be challenging
3. Just wait man you’ll see that soon it won’t be too slow
How long does it take for results
@@mh7921 Oh it’s really long since i commented now that it’s 2 years, i will say that i don’t use it as often but i got a horrible haircut and used the rice water method and my hair grew back faster than previous cuts without rice water. Different rice have different protein levels, wild rice has the lowest levels and white rice has the highest - plus the rice needs to be left for 24 - 48hours not half an hour! Or you can cook it. The longer you leave it the better. The left over rice can be blended for a body scrub.
I have never heard of using rice in a body scrub, how do I make it?

What really determines how fast hair grow is genetics.
loretta young yes, but this can reduce the damage that slows your hairgrowth. so technically, it speeds the growth up
i forgot to write it down from the first day so ill start from day 5
( i used fermented rice water, i wash my hair and put the rice water on my scalp and my roots at night, braid it and rinse it in the morning )
day 5: my hair does grow longer and thicker but theres no drastic changes
day 6: still no drastic changes but my hair became really smooth and grew abit
day 7: became thick but still no drastic changes. definitely did grow from day 1
day 8 : i can finally tie a ponytail without any hair falling out!

Update?
Here is my expirence with this:
I have used this for about two weeks now...AND I LOVE IT!!❤
The rice water keeps my hair really soft and clean, and it doesn't get that oily anymore because my hair usually gets oily really quickly. I just put the rice water in a spray bottle and spray it in my hair and scalp before i go to school. I highly recommen you try it to!;)
Tip: Add some fresh lemon juice for a fresh scent and extra shine, lemon juice is going to give you extra protection from the sun and heat.
Lemon juice fries and dries hair in the sun. It makes it light sensitive

I actually bring the rice to a boil, not fully cook the rice then I separate it and let it sit over night and it works for me when I put it in my hair, and section the hair off
I sit with a cap on for an hour then rinse the rice water out, no shampoo no conditioner. This is my second time doing it since April 6, 2018 and my hair has grown 2 inches since I got a trim
Brianna Pinkerton= What is your hair type.....Your hair Porosity....thanks
Fere solomon ---> Its nice thick and curly, wish I could upload a photo of my hair while I was doing my rice water treatment Friday night

Good video. Nice tips. I used the boiling rice water and put it in the fridge. Used it cold after shampooing. Left my hair bouncy and volumized.

Thank you for explaining the difference between boiling and not boiling. I was super confused about that.
i love her “wota” so much 😩❤
I am going to try this I am having huge issue with my hair thickness, shedding, and thinning I am natural and pretty curly so I don't normally notice until my hair is straightening and then it's super thin 😩
I plan to use this on my hair on summer vacation! I'm trying to grow my hair out for back to school! I've just reached shoulder length hair! My goal is to get to arm pit length by the time school starts again! Hopefully I can be able to reach that length by then! 💕💖
Destiny Thomas you will tell me how it goes okk😂👀good luckk💕
I m in the exact same situation
If u keep up a regular regimen with it..it’s very possible to exceed ur goal of armpit length. It really works that fast & that well. I started at armpit length now I’m right above my rib cage in only about 3wks honestly not to mention it’s repairing any damage I had. I vouch for it 100% 👍🏾

You said that per tablespoon of rice, you want a cup of water at 1:56. Similarly, I would like to know how many cups of water do we need to add to a fermented rice water to dilute it at 4:30? Thank you.
No
Su Su San
@@rosaliengugi4554 what no?!
Some people don't dilute it. Others do. Patch test on your hair until an answer comes. She did say it can be too harsh for some hairs and that's why dilute.
Alright so here's my plan:
I'm gonna use this method on an alternate day basis. Mom and I wash our hair daily (with Shampoo, conditioner, and we lightly rub some Amla or Coconut oil when the hair are still damp), cause the pollution here is BAD and cause our hair are so used to it now that if we don't do a daily wash, the scalp gets TOO oily and the hair-fall is twice the next day
Also, I'm doing this chamomile and lemon hair spray thingy (which is a DIY dye) every day on my hair (been seeing some lightening results without increased hair-fall (than usual.
This seems really aggressive, are you washing your hair too often?
@@missmia196 OMG it's been ages I even forgot I commented this! I wash my hair on alternate days because they're prone to dandruff and the high pollution (+ intense workouts) makes my scalp really itchy. I'm not doing any of the above stuff now that I wrote so elaborately then haha. And my hair is definitely much better now! I put growth serum, redenser, post-wash serum, and I oil it once every week or apply an aleo vera mask once every few weeks. This routine has been helping me and it's much more sustainable too!
@@uarmysmileebts what's a redenser?
One thing I would like to correct here, U can boil the rice water for 5-10 min. That's the most authentic way to prepare rice water. That's the way Lao women prepare their rice water. Checkout other videos, they boil rice water and the results are just amazing.

Rice water review update:
I think I may have done an update on this before yet just incase I didn't heres' another.
After watching Lanas' vid I incorporated a few different things with it and heres' the regimen and I have sensetive hair that I take after my mother so here is what I do:
- buy a shampoo and conditioner that has 0% Parabens and Sulphates.
(I use my extra virgin cooking oil)
-The day I wash my hair I shampoo and condition then instead of spraying my hair I would pour the rice water throughout my hair as it would already be wet through from the wash.
Jay fem Thank you for this update👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾

Did your really grow
@@jayfem20s after you wash your hair with a rice water then you put shampoo and conditioner in it, it will fade the smell of rice water? Or not?
