I have been using rosemary in my hair for 4 years now and my hair has stopped breaking. I mix 5 drops of rosemary essence. 5 drops of clary sage essence with a couple of drops of peppermint essence to warm olive oil and rub in my scalp and along the length of my hair. Leave overnight and rinse out. My hair has stopped breaking and no longer have dry scalp. My hair now grows quickly.

@Sarah yes you can. I use caster oil when sealing moisture in my hair. Another tip is that I co wash my hair. I only use shampoo once a month and apply the shampoo to my scalp. I never add shampoo to the length of my hair. When I put the shampoo to my scalp in the shower, it runs through the length of my hair anyway. Good luck hun

There is only two things I focused on and it worked for me to grow back my hair:
    1. Reducing the factors that cause hair fall like stress, fried and spicy food, smoking.
    2. Boosting the factors that cause hair growth like adding Coco Onion oil and shampoo, using reactivate hair growth serum of litlleextra, drinking enough water, juicy fruits, and veggies..
Whatever the reason there is usually a solution to grow your hair. Just remain confident and don’t stress over it.

I love this video! For the past 6 months I’ve completely changed my hair routine. This is what I’ve done so far:
    1. Vitamin D supplement (1000IU)
    2. Hair, skin and nail gummy vitamin (biotin, collagen, vitamin c, silicon, vitamin e, folate, zinc
    3. Use a microfibre towel for my hair
    4. Sleep on a silk pillowcase everynight
    5. NO HEAT NO DYE NO BLEACH
    6. Brush my hair gently from bottom to top
    7. Silk scrunchies / those twisty plastic hair ties
    8. Double shampoo my hair twice a week
    9. Leave conditioner in my hair for 20 mins twice a week
    10. Hair mask once a week leave in for 30 mins
    11. I massage my scalp with oils and leave them on for 2 hours before I shower (2 pumps of jojoba oil, 6 drops of rosemary oil and 6 drops of thyme oil)
I will be adding lavender oil to my list of oils too.
MY HAIR LOOKS AND FEELS SO HEALTHY AND IT HAS GROWN FROM MY CHEST TO MY BELLYBUTTON i don’t know how many inches that is but it’s a lot.

I think the #1 thing that I notice a lot of the black women I know don't pay attention to are the ends. I notice a lot of breakage and just trimming the ends aren't really the answer. Coarse or curly hair needs to be encapsulated completely to protect it from breakage. Think about it. Think about the African women in Chad, who have extremely long hair. The Chebe powder that they use. They put copious amounts of it on their hair and it works for them. You don't have to use that just find something that is like a leave in conditioner and let it do its job. I believe that more leave in conditioners and more moisture applied to the ends of the hair would contribute to length retention. Everyone's hair grows, you just need to find a way to stop it from breaking off so much.

@@aya_atamsLike shrinkage- what your hair does when its wet, its especially noticed in hair that isnt straight. Hair gets weighed down when it is wet, but when it dries, it returns to its natural form. Anyones hair could look longer when wet, but when it dries, it returns to its natural form and doesnt look as long. Like I said this is especially noticeable on ppl who dont hv straight hair

What about getting diva cuts or trims? I recently straighten my hair which was a huge regret because my hair has not maintain its curl pattern. I want to retain the length that it is but I also want the curl to come back. I read online that wants the proteins in the hair has been damaged. It will not go back if I trim it little by little do you think it may eventually get back to its curl pattern?

I got a diva cut and yo, mind you I had a bad experience so I'm not saying that it'll be like this bi matter what, just be careful and speak up if what they are doing doesn't seem ig proper?
Check this out- so I have 3c curls and they put way too much product and it took way longer to dry and they dried it by having dryers on me but it was drying uneven
And the washed it twice! I was like ??? They were like it's fine we just wanna get your curls right before the cut and so with all that, they cut the hair in the back of my head shorter than the hair on top so it was very bad looking once I put my normal product in it and it took a decent bit for their product to wash out but when the product was all gone and I used the normal stuff I use that my hair loves, I saw the damage 💀💀💀
It was 2 inches off the bottom hair to the top hair
It made my hair look thin since it was uneven at the bottom, looked stragly

You can make a screenshot or write them down and check if they help you out. It's pretty long but at least I explained it right😂 and I didn't leave stuff out. Imma say this tho, if so many things don't help, it might be a medical condition. As in ask your doctor if he/she knows whats going on.

20 Tips to grow long+thick+healthy hair
      1. Don't use heat tools and protect your hair from the sun
      2. Sleep with loose hair
      3. Use the right products that make your hair feel good and not dry and stiff
      4. Do Apple cider Viniger treatments by mixing it with water and for a better smell adding essential oils/lemon
      5. Give your scalp a lot of massages
      6. Massage your scalp with hair growth oils a day before your washday
      7. Don't do too many slick hairstyles
      8. Be gentle on your hair
      9. If you have dry hair, try to use a deep conditioner/mask once a week
      10. Do a hot oil treatment and rice water rinse at least once a month (do the hot oil treatment one day and 2 weeks later the rice water).
      11. Use warm water instead of room temperature water to help your products work better (conditioners/masks and even leave ins and creams)
      12. Layer your products (leave in, curl cream, gel and a little bit of oil to help keep the moisture locked in)
      13. Don't use too many products and also not too much of each product you use (too much can actually make your hair weaker, dry it out and dust seems to cling more that way, especially when you add too much oil to your hair)
      14. Figure out what products and hairstyles work for you (everyone's hair is different and likes different kinds of products. Some hairstyle work for others to grow their hair but do what works for your hair)
      15. Work your way up when detangeling your hair (start at the ends and work your way up so you don't cause extra knots and breakage)
      16. Use a satin/silk bonnet at night to protect your hair. If you aren't into that, try a satin/silk pillowcase.
      17. Oil your ends when they are feeling a little dry/damp your ends and put some leave in conditioner on them (this helps to prevent the dry to lead to split ends)
      18. Trim your hair as much as your hair needs to be trimmed. How you know when you need a trim is to check if your ends stay dry when having done step 17. You can also notice it by checking if your ends seem thinner then they should be/used to be.
      19. Don't eat too much junk food and sweets. Also don't drink too much soda and other sweet drinks.
      20. Eat and drink stuff with vitamins and proteins. If you can't buy too many fruits etc at least drink multi vitamin or something that could help you on your hair growth journey.
💫I do these things to grow my hair and now it's almost on my but. Genetics help with growing long hair, buttttt how you take care of your hair helps with the thickness and especially the health of your hair.💫
If your hair feels dryer by doing for example step 10, then look for other things that do help your hair (some people are protein sensitive so rice water might dry out their hair even more).

@@LanaSummer don't worry Lana❤ some people will only spread hate, but don't let it get to you. I've watched I think most of your videos these past few years and saw your pictures from when you were little. Your hair was a lot shorter and now it looks healthier and its longer. You don't have to prove yourself to others. You know you're doing this for yourself and trying your best to help others. There will always be people out there who will try to ruin everything, but never forget all the other people who look up to you and see you as their hero🎉try to only focus on them cause they matter more, and try to just ignore the bad comments. I hope you see this. We love you Lana❤❤😊🫶

Like @dawson3885, I too, am interested in the topic of Brazilian haircare. I struggle to find people who know curly hair well enough that I would let them near me with scissors. I've always looked for someone in the salon who also has curly hair, and even with them, I always find myself crying when I get home. A friend of mine from Turkey will only get her hair cut whenever she can get back to Turkey, but she says that Brazilians are also among the best when it comes to curly hair. She always recommends Turkey and Brazil. Turkey and Brazil. In my life, two people have made it possible to leave a salon happily and without crying. One was Cuban. The other, Mexican. I swore I thought she knew magic, and her scissors must have magic in them. 🪄 There is a wonderful salon in my town that specializes in natural hair that I would like to go to someday. I had a crazy scalp condition and couldn't go for the longest time, and then the pandemic happened, and now, I've just been cutting my own hair for so long that I hesitate going anywhere. But anyhow, I would be very curious to see a video on Brazil/Portugal. Also Cuba, Turkey, Mexico, wherever other place you may find inspiring. But yes, definitely Brazil/Portugal. Oh and Amla oil, yes! Sometimes I massage it into my scalp before washing. Good stuff. Wonderful video, Ms. Summer! Thank you!
