Arc 48 Because 1. He was a good friend to Steve Rogers. He was who Steve wanted to be and when Steve became Captain America, Bucky wasn’t jealous or anything, he took it in stride and followed his buddy. He’s a loyal likable guy. 2. After he becomes the Winter Soldier, it started an interesting dynamic. Winter Soldier was the first film we see where Steve isn’t a goody two shoes and it’s because of Bucky. Bucky meanwhile is completely clueless and it’s sad yet satisfying to see him be a physical threat and fight the inner turmoil that he feels. Plus you add on that he’s been tortured and it just adds onto his tragedy. 3. He is really the first full fledged redemption arc that we’ve seen in Marvel. Loki is an antihero, he’s not completely redeemed because he still makes bad choices. Bucky knows he’s made bad choices and tries to live with them while suffering through his own traumatic memories. I’m short, Bucky is a nice guy who didn’t deserve what happened to him and we all want to see him happy, but people keep trying to kill him and then he turned to ash.

Matt Murdock After IW, I have to bump Thor into the top 5... not entirely confident exactly where I place him, though... And actually, if AoS is included, I'd include Fitz, too. Sorry but that's dumb, Loki has been really inconsistent through the movies and Frank deserves to be ahead of him. At least my other mans Matt made it in front of Loki and Bucky 🙄🙄🙄

Why does everyone like Bucky so much? He was never that appealing to me. Can someone explain?
