@@AIRMANHVAC yeah I'm one of these people I'm researching package units I have an old 15-year-old Trane unit split system on my manufactured home that has bit the farm. have had 6 separate estimates done in the last week and almost every single one of them has recommended I get a 5 ton american standard variable speed platinum 16 package unit because my air handler cabinet is just too restrictive for a proper filtered air box none of them can find a mobile home downflow unit.. so far they are telling me it would also be my cheaper option because less modification they would have to do to fit a new split system in But mehh I could care less as long as it works.
Let me ask everybody something if there's metal out there like that was and you just put off the takeoffs why wouldn't you finish the job with metal that don't make sense to me 2 90 on each side with a work with no problem I don't understand why you put flex in there instead of metal don't make sense I'm from Florida and that's how I would have done it I would have put 290 on each takeoff into the other pipe that's called professional and then build a dog house over it
What a mess that one was! No brake, no problem. Great job!
Thanks!
Awesome work man, can you do a video on how you measure out the shroud for ductwork when its angled like that
For sure! It may be a while as we don’t get the opportunity much.
David....here you go ua-cam.com/video/7NwMvM87r7Q/v-deo.html
Keep up with the good work dear!
Is a cigar the oddest thing you have ever found in ductwork?
So far....I’m open minded about the future though haha
Old Heil unit didnt really look that bad makes me wonder what was wrong with it?
It was well taken care of but had multiple refrigerant leaks in the evap coil. Homeowner opted to replace instead of repair.

Bro your making Alabamians look bad! At least cross break the top of shroud. It’s simple to do,do it off the top of the pack or side of your trailer.
That’s a great idea! Thanks
