I don't know weather the difficulty would be the same challenge or more. As a 13 year old in a Lego inventor club with other people my age I made an exoskeleton of This suit in my size. How I did this with parental supervision is I took measurements of my body then designed the model on my computer Then I went to home Depot with my parents to get some small Hydrogen tanks, Cooper wire,Nuts, and Screws. I went on Amazon and bought Some steel sheets and brought it to life! I tried it out and it was awesome I have a secret to make it fly I might be the next Iron Man, No better yet I'll be called iron kid! But their is one problem I need to know how to make the Outside of it

    Must be heavy, no? If I would do in any metal it would be alluminium, easy to work with and you can make a killer finishing on the surface. It would be obviously more expensive, but in the end it would worth it (but still cheaper then ordering one online).
    Congrats on the build.

    • @BuildsByBaz
      @BuildsByBaz 6 років тому

      Thank you. Yes, aluminium is more expensive and harder to work with. Steel is cheap, easy to weld and shape and is very forgiving.

    Absolutely badass! I'm so jealous & wish I knew how to build stuff. How do you learn to do this kind of stuff? On a side note, I see this & think, but the US military hasn't gotten this far in combat tech? Yeah ok...🙄

    • @beymasters3
      @beymasters3 6 років тому

      US military needs to be able to run crouch duck climb etc easily. and also they have tried making these but with liquid that could harden when force is applied or some BS like that. and also its actually not too hard to make a metal iron man suit, you just need to have enough money, which is the problem im facing right now. so far i only have enough money to make the arm

    • @Administrator_O-5
      @Administrator_O-5 6 років тому

      zef trap music True, my point was that there are weapons systems far advanced than what people would believe possible. I'm not saying they have a full blown suit like this with an AI etc or that they have Halo Spartan Armor with Cortana built in, but they are a lot closer than it may seem. Remember they have nearly a trillion dollar budget per year & this would be considered a black unacknowledged special access program, so those aren't even on the books or counted in the general budget...actually there's no accountability at all & the $ flow doesn't have a cap. As far as your project goes, I have no doubt it's not cheap too accomplish, having Stark's bank account would definitely help! If I may ask, what do you do for a living? The reason I ask is, because you're extremely talented in metal working, design & creative vision. I hope you're in a career that allows you to use your gifts. It's a shame you couldn't crowdfund it, but Marvel would be all over you very quickly, claiming you were infringing on their IP & attempting too profit from it, which you're not.

    • @beymasters3
      @beymasters3 6 років тому

      Magestic bruh Im a 16 year old cambridge student who suddenly wanted to build an iron man suit and is slowly accomplishing it and slowly gathering enough money and materials to build it. Because I've seen ALOT of people building an iron man suit but its all like 3d printed or made of cardboard or maybe foam and only little amount of ppl made it out of metal. But still all of them who made it out of metal uses steel. And tony stark made his out of gold titanium alloy which sadly doesnt exist yet and the closest thing to it is titanium gold alloy, close enough. And yeah that shit does cost a fortune and the tool to use to cut melt grind etc. Would also cost a fortune so im going by titanium instead. But I do like the fact that this guy does it for the sick children and everything

    There are several things for building an iron man suit
    Download some detailed plans from the web
    Use plastic instead of cardboard or metal - it's easier than metal and last longer than cardboard
    Be carfull you get the size right - an engineer spent a long time making one then found it was too small!
