Welcome back, Richest fans! Ever since the superheroes burst onto the scene, they've left a massive mark on pop culture. Since their rise to popularity, the question of, “what would life be like with real-life superheroes?” has been pondered many times. Well, we’ve moved a step closer to finding out! All thanks to Adam Savage and Richard Browning who took inspiration from Marvel. They built their own Iron Man armour from the MCU! It can even fly with the aid of Gravity’s Jet Suit! Today, we’re going to explore this incredible story. As well as how much money the project cost. On top of this, we’ll look at some of the suits available to purchase at the moment!
Now for the spoiler paragraph. If you like surprises, we suggest you stop reading and watch the video multiple times. Firstly, we’ll go over how the idea came about when Savage was at the Colorado School of Mines. We’ll then look at how the team made Tony Stark’s armour. Such as using an EOS 3D metal printer! We’ll also look at the co-host of the show, MythBusters, in detail. We’ll then look at the suit’s features such as it being bulletproof and how well it can fly with a jetpack! We’ll then look at another armour available for purchase that could perhaps get you into the Avengers as well. It even comes with a voice-controlled mask! Finally, we’ll see just how much money it takes to be Tony Stark!

I see soo many of these videos that attempt to build an iron man suit and I think its great. The race to build the suit is truly on.
One thing they all miss however is the endoskeleton that deals with powered movement. During the iron man suit up sequence we often see a grid/mesh cage that wraps Tony's body that the outer armour is then attached to.
I think this is a vital starting point to any build and isn't currently being factored in.
And that skeleton would need to power the suit somehow - I mean that is how the comic suit works right? The endoskeleton is essentially the muscles, so wouldn't you need a power source that is portable and powerful enough to make a very heavy suit viable in a real-world scenario?

Alex didn't make an arc reactor, no one has. You're talking about putting a fusion reactor into something that's the size of your fist. The good news is that they are working on fusion reactors and they might succeed in 10-20 yrs but shrinking them down will take a lot longer. The other option is to shrink down thorium reactor but it won't have much power for its size. I'd go with antimatter if we can contain it.

If I had unlimited money, I would choose to be Iron Man but with a batman 'esque' company behind him designing the tech since I'm no Adam Savage, Hacksmith or Tony Stark nor could I even pretend to be without handing off credit to much more specialized and knowledgeable individuals to make my visions a reality.
Should have made a Mediveal/Renaissance suit of armor, because those armors have slopes and angles that help deflect attacks and gives the armor itself greater strength through greater structure integrity especially if it is fluted.

325k is crazy, I’m making my own suit and the metal material only costs $400 total. Motors etc under 2k. It can’t fly rn but still I don’t think that will cost $322600 lol.

More than likely the next version with improvements is about 1.5 million. The HUD wasn’t done, the under garment suit, proper muscle enhancement, integrated electronics, Jarvis etc.
Lot of people have done most of these things in smaller projects would be nice to unite them all.

It would be worth over a billion if it flies a few hundred if not thousands of miles per hour. Also the strength and durability of the wearer is supposed to multiply by 100-1000 times when worn, making survival easy against bullets or rockets. Also Jarvis.
