great job. I am enjoying your videos as I am doing the exact same truck in my shop her in Iowa. im on the fence about the sandblasting deal, as of right now, im just wire brushing and useing a DA. keep up the good work
Absolutely love this build so far! I’m building a 97 12 valve 3500 dually, I’m not taking it down to the frame but it is getting a fresh paint job, new suspension and an interior swap
Now is the time to get rid of that two piece drive shaft and mine came from East Texas Dodge drive shafts and with the ends of new drive shaft we’re from Dodge not used yoke and slide end and the tube is 5” diameter aluminum drive shaft and mines 5 yrs old and has been a very good up to now and not more carrier bearings and the two stacked up brackets and when you remove them clean and paint to keep the rust away and I could tell immediately no more vibration , so I hoe this help and I also put a fluid dampner and it made a difference to the old one was sheddings rubber fast. So hope this helps you with your project.
It has to be close to impossible to have a car or truck that does not rust away from so far north and I guess on a quite nite you can hear that baby rust . Ha Ha !!!
This what I needed to see for my own rig. Awesome...!
About to start this on my 03 lb7, hard not to get overwhelmed 😂. Enjoyed the video! Looking good 👍🏼

Subbed to see the outcome of the 2nd gen.
Great Video. Huge Project for a 1 man show. I think you can do it. Great Job!!!
You could use Phosphoric acid to etch the frame and it will eat the flash rust and leave behind a coating.
After you needle scale it, you can use a little baking soda and water to keep it from flash rusting
