Weirdly enough, I could only focus to infinity if I wasn't touching the lens, and given that I usually hold the lens when I'm taking photos/video this was presenting a bit of an issue. On closer inspection last week, I discovered that the mount was loose. I've since tightened the mount up and it appears to be working a lot better, but I haven't had a really good chance to test it out yet. If it has fixed the problem I'll post an update. I really love some of the images from this lens, so I'm hoping it will continue to have a place in my camera bag. I've since bought the Olympus 25mm f/1.2, which is fantastically sharp, and I love the push/pull manual focus ring, but there's a really nice dreamy aesthetic to the images from the Mitakon that I can't help but love
Thanks for the information, not holding the lens is unacceptable. You can't focus, you can't stabalize it good enough handheld too. I hope the new copy is good and not regret going for budget solution. But if it does, lesson learned, nothing cheap anymore without 8/10+ reviews and widely spread.
Alright got my copy and everything seems fine, it's dark outside so can't tell 100% sure, btw noticed that sometimes you can accidentally move the focus ring a little.
Hi there! Do you know if the GH5 focus peaking still works with this lens?
So you can focus to infinity? I've returned my copy because couldn't... Hope my new copy will be ok

What was this filmed on? Sony?
I can't really remember now. It was either shot on the GH5 with the 12-35mm, or on the Sony A7rii with the 28mm f/2.0
