Gunship 2000 PC/DOS - AH-64 Apache Single Mission [Highest Difficulty/Real Hardware]

Gameplay of a single mission of Gunship 2000's PC version by Microprose, running on a Pentium with a Soundblaster. I think I've only tried the DOS version once, many years ago, as I used to play this on the Amiga. But since the DOS version is supposed to be slightly more challenging, I thought I'd do a quick Sunday night flight before going to bed.
You have to play a number of missions alone when you start the game, until you get enough promotions to command a flight and be allowed to play a campaign.
This is probably the hardest part of the game since you don't have wingmen or access to long range missiles which are restricted by rank.
So, it gets easier later on.

hmmm what can I say, you destroyed infantry with a singe missile not two, your hellfires didn't hit the mountains, for me it's quite amazing and all at all work pretty damn good, sure if it is possible for more missions or campaign, please play more Gunship 2000, maybe I played wrong for all this years and this game isn't so hard, when i get some free time I will try to check the altitude manipulation method, but I not sure that will work for me, maybe because I play with keyboard all time or maybe I'm just too old for that, thank you for your knowledge about this game, I'm very grateful :)

Yes, I usually fire rockets at infantry, but it seems you can get them with a hellfire when they've set up the machine gun. About altitude, it all depends on the situation. I mostly fly high when outside enemy territory, or off their RMax, or when there's a mountain I can use for cover. Otherwise I'd probably fly low. It is very playable with a keyboard on the Amiga, but definitely try a joystick for the PC version. I used keyboard for the collective here and it was a pain to coordinate.
