We lived on a remote ranch in Colorado, and people dumped old, big dogs off all the time. We ended up with 11 dogs. We gave them a home and love. They were all good dogs and loved us back.
I have a hard time listening to stories where the dog gets hurt or worse so when the couple first saw the dog I'm practically yelling to myself You've Got To Take The Dog WITH You!!! So glad they did. Very heartwarming. TY for an awesome story.

Have to agree there Deb, but as long as one uses common sense and doesn't go nuts with shooting the gun. I would not go camping or hiking in the woods without one. Up until late '17 I lived in Indiana for 14 years on approximately 300 acres of mixed farmland and woods, I always had a sidearm with me, and various long guns in the house, but if you learn one thing being a boy-scout, it's "Be Prepared".
@@d.j.smithjr.3029 Exactly. So many of these encounter stories you hear people say, “ yeah I only had my flashlight and a can of bear spray.” And my reaction is “ What? You went camping, hiking in the woods or really remote wilderness with a flashlight and and bear spray? Something is just odd about that. There is a huge responsibility when a person carries a firearm. And there are enough psycho cases out there that you never know what one of them might try and do with one. But all of that said, this day and time I would not advise any responsible adult to leave the house without it and especially going into the woods. I’m like you... I don’t have and carry just one.

Fighting off a sinus headache but I couldn't miss the latest Sasquatch stories while hanging out with the Sass-squad. Sonic cheeseburger for snackage again tonight. Let me pull up a stump and warm myself by the fire as Nance reads the stories.
My sinuses are shot to pieces. Tissue after wet through tissue, left dripping with snot.

Wow…for a brief moment I thought they were going to leave the dog. They saved him, just as he saved them earlier that morning. Animals are sent to us for special reasons. What a scary story but worthy if they got the chance to save a life

Wow!!! 😳 What a terrifying encounter! 😱They weren’t after Kayla. They had come to collect the “land use fee” they were accustomed to receiving when the cabin was occupied by the usual “tenants.” The owner had habituated them to receiving treats while the cabin was in use. I bet the bells on the back door were a doorbell of sorts for them. Door rattles lightly, bells jingle, “We’re here! Land use fee is due please.” The lack of the expected response would have confused them, and that quickly turned to anger when they gave them a “second chance” to comply the next night. Assault began. A tantrum, essentially. They could have easily torn that cabin down around you, had they wanted to. But they obviously weren’t intending to hurt you. They just wanted to let you know how pissed they were at you for not abiding by the “land use agreement” they clearly had with the property owner.
Would have been great if the owner told you about that vital information! If I’d been them, I’d of told you that I didn’t care if you believed me….this is what you MUST do every night! Sigh…. Well thanks for sharing this amazing encounter, and God Bless you for giving old Ranger a forever home! 🥰

Aiden if your wife was on her period then that probably Drew those 3 beings. Those beings can yell for a good minute with 1 breath. If I had that air horn I would have blasted that until it died, not just a couple seconds.A couple seconds simply demonstrate weakness. Thank you for sharing with Nance to share with us! I heard of a man once in one of the stories who had a Sasquatch getting in his garage and he sprayed it with a bear spray and it ran away coughing into the bushes.

If anybody has a cabin, and they are scared to go there, I will be glad to stay and take care of it for you. Nothing scares me!
We sleep with wind chimes on the door at night, and I also leave lights on thru out the house in the rooms with exterior doors. I just bought this place and I do need a new front door, but I doubt a steel door would keep a Sabe out if it wanted in bad enough. For now, the wind chimes will sound the alarm if they or anyone else gets past our dogs and tries coming in the house. Bells are a good idea, maybe I will get some for the doorknobs that way I can hang my wind chimes outside again. Thanks Nance
I surely am glad they took Ranger home so he had one good year in a home before passing. I was so worried they were going to leave him behind. Great account of a Bigfoot encounter!
Nance to answer aden question about the dog ; the dog barking was a sign that the bigfoot had left the area and safe to go to the car. Ranger the dog was probably a stray dog that had gotten separated from it's family. And for the bigfoot coming up to the cabin and trying to get in. I can attest to the fact; that when my grandmother was still alive clarence would come up to the door of the house and try to get in. Same thing has happened when my sister or my nieces were up there at the house in willow creek they would come closer to the house. Male bigfoot can most definitely smell women; especially if it's that time of the month. From anson hope that answers his questions about bigfoot 🤗
If more people were aware and believed in these creatures then it would be realized that communication is the key, that when you're entering their area their territory it is best to let them know you are there leave them something and tell them that you are not there to harm them or to stay permanently. So many encounters would go differently I feel this is true after listening to hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of encounters
Go differently how? Every encounter I've ever investigated and every encounter that's credible online, the being is non violent and either just walks away or stares at you, then walks away. I've never had a report or seen a credible report or encounter that was violent where someone was hurt or killed. The last time their was a credible story of a bigfoot physically hurting or killing someone was in the 1920s in Alaska. BTW, these beings are very close to being human and are very intelligent and they know when humans are in their area real quick. People dont have to do anything to make themselves known to them. Stop trying to make these beings out to be dangerous to people.

Thanks for stories thanks for telling them , sleigh rides oh I loved them as a kid my town would take you for a ride and a bag of candy , lol I would offer the driver my candy for second ride most years I got 2 rides and 2 bags of candy , it’s soup and sandwiches tonight stay warm everyone and enjoy this Christmas , oh les stroud has some new Bigfoot stories from a older guy

I am from the UPPER PENINSULA of Michigan! The re are a LOT of things in those woods!! I have never been scared because They know my Family belong there!!!
Well just got done listening to day #3 of "Squatchmas", and a pretty good story for sure, I will say that yes, the local Squatch after a few days of no treats left for them said to themselves, let's show these humans that we aren't happy, and they sure as heck did, throwing the rock through the window was a bit rude though, and as there was only one window in the whole cabin, I'd say they must have known that it would shatter if hit with something, I'm thinking they must have broken one before even if it was by accident, not knowing it would break.
Having a woman in the cabin could have had something to do with it, but I don't think so, they obviously noticed that there was someone there at a different time than usual and they just checked things out, not getting some free food was probably the main thing or only thing that set them off.
I think all of us (at least most) knew that they were going to wind up with the dog, but having it stay right by the door was pretty funny, and you know, wherever it was living before, it had probably done that many times waiting for its owner to open it up.
What a Honeymoon, one they surely won't forget!

Odds are the first one came looking for food and got the air horn, so a group of its friends joined it to try and help it get the folks in the cabin to scare them to give the food.... Them thinking we make such a fuss they will give us food to make us go away...

If so, it's crazy that these national parks don't have warnings 4 women not 2 be out in the woods during this time, cuz they could say bcuz it might attract bears or something. Maybe that's what his Dad used to do, when he went up there? "Pay the Rent!", but then, when no treats were forthcoming this time, they became annoyed, and got real cranky, and real fussy, real quick!

The Dad's friend had maybe made peace with them by leaving a treat of some sorts outside for them, when he was there. A peace offering.
So, when no goodies were forthcoming, the Sasquatch up there probably got annoyed, and became cranky and fussy.
